All the rooms are behind the reception area and restaurant, earl'sso very quiet. Aida Pantoja Barrera is a remarkable person and great organiser, and speaks great English. A great visit to Tuxula Gutierrez, thanks to the people of the Best Western.

Road construction cause you to go 20 minutes out of the way to get there. This one staff was VERY rude! Very dissatisfied and will never stay again. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Room was cleaned daily.

Very nice hotel, rooms very clean and comfortable, grounds well maintained, very nice and friendly staff, location is great for shopping and restaurants will definitely come back to the Best Western Plus next time I am in Tuxtla.

Very nice hotel. Clean, big comfortable rooms, great service and not expensive! Food buffet is good and the people here are nice! Good place to stay and experience Chiapas! Very small pool but it is nice. Very green, lots of trees. We stayed in a suite and they are very large. A wall separates two queen size beds from a foldable queen bed.

Extremely far away from any restaurants or anything to do at all. I should've done more reserach so this is mostly my fault. Asking for any type of advice or tips to go anywhere from the staff is difficult, too lazy to give any advice. We made the mistake of coming to Tuxtla to see the Sumidero Canyon which had no water and we read was so polluted it was a waste of time so we hung out at the hotel all day. Restaurant at the hotel is extremely expensive for the poor quality. When asking for directions to get to the airport, they tried to sell as an extremely expensive private tour bus, instead of just giving us directions on best ways to get there. Useless. Only nice thing was the bed and clean but small room (one king). I would never go back to Tuxtla (disgusting pollution), nor would I come here. Waste of time and money, terrible staff.

Our second to this hotel, we were in no means disappointed. Our first visit dated to 2009 and since we remembered liking it the first time, chose to book for two nights on a family trip to Chiapas. The hotel is very clean. The grounds are beautiful well-kept and secured with both a gate man and watchmen around the premises. The pool is also very clean though the small "spa" is by no means a hot tub. :) We chose a suite, however both beds were in the same room with a separate living/dining combination. We had a fridge (I think), but no kitchenette. It was fine for our needs. The location is also great with the a university campus right across the street and well-known chain restaurants within easy walking distance. Chiapas is a very safe region, though travellers should always beware to stay low-key, and walking in the city after dark is OK as long as you stay in well-lit, high-traffic areas. There is a large shopping plaza a short walk down the street as well. If calling a cab, ask the gateman to hail one for you and ask the price before getting in (drivers will sometimes hike the price for unsuspecting tourists). Places to visit like the Canon del Sumidero in Chiapa de Corzo and San Cristobal de las Casas or San Juan Chamula are an easy drive or bus trip away and can be booked thru the hotel, if desired. We did not eat at the hotel this trip, but did previously and it was very good. Great place to stay, especially if you want a little luxury in a relaxed setting, yet not too fancy.

We spent 5 nights here in June/July 2016. This was our second time at the hotel and again we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel. We checked in quickly and was allocated our room straight away. It was on the third floor and was spacious and clean. The air conditioning was a bit loud but we still managed to sleep well in the huge comfortable beds. There is free and secure parking available and the hotel is situated directly off a main road so is very easy to get to by car. The restaurant serves the best breakfast. The juices are all fresh, eggs are made to order and there is always a large selection of freshly made Mexican specialities. Plus if you are staying at the hotel the price is just 100 pesos per person! The grounds and small pool are kept really nice. We often spent a few hours relaxing by the pool before we went out for the day. All of the staff at the hotel are friendly and will go out of their way to help you.

We stayed at this hotel December 2015 and we came back to Chiapas and decided to stay here again. Since we arrive they were very welcoming and made us to feel like at home, the hotel is always clean and with nice gardens and and nice pool and a relaxing areas, the restaurant is always open, we enjoy the food there it's very delicious. Also free wifi everywhere in the hotel... It's close to the zoo, (ZOOMAT) we went there last time and went this time again, it's nice walking there, it's was very hot this time, so make sure if you go around the summer to take a nice comfortable shoes. The hotel is in on of the main roads and easy to get from the airport (35 mins). We would recommend this hotel to everyone, the service is the best and you will enjoy the food too. Looking forward to come back... We would like to mention some of the people that gave us an excellent service, Rocío, Agustín, Emanuel, Sergio, Pedro, Héctor, Enrique, Jorge, and of course Gabriel in the restaurant always very nice and helpful.

This hotel was perfect for our large group - my husband and I and our four girls. We got a suite with two queen beds and a double pull out sofa. The suite was large with a very large restroom - separate toilet and shower - which made it easy and comfortable for our family. Our kids enjoyed the pool, the extensive gardens (with fruit-bearing mango trees!) and particularly the breakfast. At 100 pesos a person, the amazing buffet is a steal for hotel guests. We noticed that plenty of locals stop in for breakfast as well. The buffet consists of many regional dishes such as tamales de elote, tamales de chipilin, cochito and more. There is a quesadilla station, an egg station where the cook makes eggs any way you want with a variety of additions and sauces. The coffee and pan dulce are fantastic, and there are also lighter options such as fruit, cereal and yoghurt. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is well located near public transportation and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Many thanks to the hotel director Mauricio for his attentions to my family during the strike in Tuxtla. Family Balbi. Hotel is very good and the personnel is very kindly. It has a little swimming pool, the rooms are very large.
