We recently stayed at the Ramada Inn Tuscaloosa. We took a group of students to the University for a quiz bowl tournament. The staff was very friendly and the facilities met what we needed. The hotel is conveniently located to just about anywhere you need to go. Easy in and easy out. One of our students left something in their room and we received a call about the item about thirty minutes after we had left. We were very impressed by that and the great customer service.
We stopped for the night on our way elsewhere. The room was clean and comfortable, no issues there. Breakfast was as you would expect - biscuits & gravy, pastries, and cereal. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked and the morning staff was helpful and courteous. The night desk clerk could have used some customer service training though. Upon check-in I got vague directions to the room (out back by the pool... which describes half the hotel), and nothing else. We had to call back up to the desk twice (once for the wifi password, which she neglected to say was written on the key folio) and once for the breakfast times (which were not listed in the room guide, nor mentioned at check-in). Not really a problem, just a small annoyance.
The hotel was very disappointing. Very very very very overpriced - especially for what it is. Our plans changed and Incould not cancel the 2nd night of our reservation - so shame on me paid $800 for one night at this crummy place. Outside door did not lock - big safety concern. I know it was a football game weekend and they could charge these crazy prices - but this was rediculous. My head still itches!!
We booked a room through Ramada directly and was double charged and still have not received a refund! When we confronted the MANAGER about it, she was very rude and said well it’s Game weekend and there’s nothing I can do. Very unprofessional and not worth the price at all. We will never stay here again nor would we suggest.
Staff was very welcoming and accommodating, room was comfortable and clean. Only negative this location does not have an elevator, wasn't an issue for us but could be for someone else.
The room was exactly like the web photos. It was clean and well appointed. Convenient to the interstate and the staff very pleasant. No disappointments. The breakfast was typical nothing special and really nothing there but fruit for those persons that have a lactose free diet.
My room was not what I expected. I booked through booking.com for a double room and received a single double. The staff was not accommodating, the hotel only had 2 cots to offer and had to ask for manager to get extra blankets and sheets. We had to purchase a blow up mattress for family. We had 4 people booked.
I've stayed here a few times as my daughter attends bama. The stay was good. The only complaints I had was one morning I had no room service and the breakfast was not stocked well there was no milk for a few mornings. I never received my system points and I stayed 9 days. All in all it was a good stay as usual.
Hotel is in need of major updates: paint, flooring, wallpaper, tile work, stucco. No elevator to second floor. Old facility. Over priced. But staff was courteous and helpful.
There was no milk for breakfast also ran out of food just after they started to serve Breakfast
