Friendly staff. Room was comfortable. Although you can hear the traffic outside - the room was pretty quiet. You didn't hear other guests next to you.

This room was the filthiest room I've encountered in all my years of travel. Counter and table top surfaces were dirty, I wiped them off myself. I also had to wipe the bathroom floor, which appears to not have been cleaned after the previous occupants checked out. It was probably a while since the room was last vacuumed, as I found food crumbs, toenail clippings and other unknown debris on the carpet. I decided it was best not to walk around barefoot inside the room. I recommend that hotel staff pay more attention to cleaning, and have someone other than the cleaning people inspect the end result. Even though I had a non-smoking room, there were cigarette burn holes in the bedspread, blanket and couch and possibly the curtain too. There were mysterious stains on the upholstery and a funky odor throughout the room (worse by the bathroom). All bedding and furniture with burn holes or stains should be replaced. It felt so good to leave this room. The one positive aspect were the people who worked at the front desk - they were great! After my experience, I would NEVER consider staying at this hotel again.

We were put into a smoking room after being sold a non smoking room - cigarette burns all over bedding - exterior doors facing a cast of characters in the adjacent parking lot. Never again.

Extremely friendly staff! Room was perfectly clean. I prefer rooms that open to an inside hallway instead of outdoors, but considering what a great deal this was (and how the staff made you feel welcome), I will stay here again if I'm in the area. I was in town to visit former students, one who is attending the University of Alabama. It was so easy to get to the campus from this hotel and was equally easy to get on the highway the next morning. There is a free continental breakfast included, but I passed it up to go on an early walk/run at the River Walk about 10 minutes away (beautiful place for a walk/run - a little short for a bike ride).

We were looking for a hotel for a visit to the University of Alabama. This hotel is very convenient to campus and the staff (both when we checked in and when we checked out) were extremely friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and for the price we paid was an excellent value.

The hotel was basic, but clean and sufficient for my one night stay on a road trip. Reception was friendly. Parking was more secure than I'd expect. But I was expecting to sleep until very close to check out time, and the cleaning people were calling hours beforehand to see if I am still in the room. Then they knocked an hour before to see if I was still in the room. Then a maintenance guy came and knocked shortly after and woke me up as well. Ruinined my sleep, which was the whole point of the hotel stay. Someone needs to talk to those people and put a stop to that.

good location, spacious room. no coffee at breakfast.

Not bad on price, good for a clean room to stay in.

All was fine except the bathroom was not clean. There was hair from a prior guest on the floor. Ick!

This place was exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive, clean, nice and in a safe and easy accessible area. And this hotel was all that. It was a little outdated, as in the AC unit was old and made noise, but that is nothing to complain about. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and this hotel even offer things a more expensive hotel that I just recently stayed at didn't. I would stay there again.

I really didn't know what to expect but I was VERY pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room didn't not have a musty smell or anything like that. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable. PERFECT! I also appreciated how quiet it was at night even though it's located in a busy area. The staff was super friendly and seemed to appreciate every guests. I felt very safe there. I'll stay there again!! ROLL TIDE!

Hotel is close to campus and the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Room needs better lighting as well as the bathroom.

NICE ROOM FOR THE PRICE......WAS TAKING OLDEST SON TO COLLEGE

The hotel staff was friendly, it's located in a great area the room was clean it smelled great its also very spacious. It was perfect for our stay.

I have stayed at other low-priced motels near this area, but for the price, this one is exceptional. Much cleaner, more comfortable, less distressing "neighbors". I will stay again.

This hotel stay was just perfect for our famliy needs.

Our experience was for the most part good, we didn't feel comfortable in the shower due to mildew in the cracks of the tile. Other than that the stay was nice, and location was excellent for dinner, and other necessities. Overall it was not bad for staying one night while traveling through town, I would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great value for the money. Clean rooms, simple but free breakfast and friendly staff.
