The staff was exceptional! Everyone we encountered was very nice, friendly and accommodating. However, a few things were a bit frustrating. Our room was a 2nd floor, 2 room suite. First, anyone with kids should not be put on the second floor. This is an atrium style hotel, so the bar and restaurant are in the middle; it's very echoy. We were all very aware of the man "caw caw"ing in the bar until midnight. We also heard every dog barking in the lobby (love this was a pet friendly hotel though!), and every dish, glass and piece of cutlery being set up for breakfast in the morning. Kids went swimming in the pool - had a good time. When they were finished, and back in the room, everyone (all 5 of us) randomly kept grumbling about a very wet spot on the floor. Thinking it was from wet swimsuits and towels, we didn't think much of it. Until the next day when it was an even bigger and wetter spot. One of our suitcases was soaked; thankfully the clothes inside were not quite soaked - only slightly damp. There are lots of spots around the lobby where tile is falling off or missing, and the restaurant was ok; a bit overpriced and not very much for young kids. All in all, it was an underwhelming experience. This won't be my first choice next time I need to stay in the Detroit area, unless it's the only hotel with availability.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Updated within the last 5 years or so. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Very convenient location - close to restaurants, coffee, shopping etc., and just minutes from I-75.

Beautiful hotel inside & out, including parking area! Suite rooms are beautiful & very large. Bar area nice with plenty of seating around. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at any hotel! Very very friendly staff—we gave several personal tips:) Will definitely stay here in future.
I brought my teenage kids with me, and i wish there would have been more for them to do. Maybe game room? Maybe pool tables?
The property is always great. Rooms are clean, staff is kind. However, this was my first experience using the pool and I was not impressed. The pool room was so humid it was hard to sit in there, and the water was cloudy with lots of mysterious floaties in it. My kids didn't mind of course, but I definitely cut pool time short because of this.
Everything was great. There was an issue with orbitz and the hotel where my reservation didn’t switch over I guess but the lady at the front desk (lady with long braids) was so incredibly helpful and sweet and made sure that we got to the room of our choice.
My overall stay was great. There was one thing with the "cleanliness" of the room...the intake air vent was not cleaned. Visually There was a lot of dust collected on the outside. Other than that the room was great. Oh...and I would not book on a weekend. There are more "kids" on the weekend and very loud.
