So the missus and I were traveling to Nashville to see the grandkids, and we decided to stop here for the night, as we wanted a room that we could park right outside the door. I was greeted in the office by a very friendly fellow, who really made me feel like he genuinely appreciated my business. We did not have reservations, but he said they were not very busy and had plenty of rooms. asked for a king bed room, and received one on the upper level right by the office, and could park right outside the door. Room was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. My only complaint would be that the floor was cold (it was January), as it is not carpeted but has what appeared to be a floating wood floor on a concrete slab. WIFI signal was great and fast, and easy to connect to. The front desk guy said he was working the late shift, and to call if we needed anything. I think he tried to call our room to check on us, but he couldn't hear us on the phone. There was a small breakfast area in the office that was available from 6:00 to 9:00 am, but we did not take advantage of it. I was quite happy with our accommodations, very clean and well cared for. We were made to feel quite welcome here, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very steep driveway from the road to the motel, as it is built on a hillside.
For a single night on the road, this place was fine and met our needs. Room was small. Only one night stand in queen room. I wish all hotels provided night stands for both sides for glasses and phones. King would have been better Was clean and mostly quiet. Floor is vinyl. Bed spread light weight so it can be cleaned. Bed seemed older with springs but ok. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful at both check in and out. Breakfast area is small and had waffles, cereal and bananas. No yogurt. No toast. Had to wait on coffee. They need two pots. Easy access from I 81 and gas stations nearby. Would stay here again but get larger room
My father-in-law and I stayed here on September 16, 2017 on our way back from Baltimore. We'd been driving all day and just wanted some place casual and inexpensive to sleep for a few hours before getting up and driving some more the next day. This hotel met those expectations. It's nothing special, but the room we stayed in was clean, the air conditioner worked well and the showers were pretty good. The front desk clerk was kind and accommodating. We were pulling a large, 16-foot trailer, so it was nice they had a special area for in the parking lot for larger vehicles. For one room, two adults, non-smoking the total with tax was around US$80. We never could get the WiFi to work in the room, the signal said connected, but we couldn't get any internet. Breakfast the next morning was nothing special either - one kind of fruit, two varieties of cereal and milk and the infamous hotel flip waffle. The coffee was hot and plentiful though. All total we were only here for about seven hours, but it served its purpose. Given the price and easy location off the highway, I'd certainly stay here again the next time we pass through.
Too expensive for what you get! If you can drive another 40 minutes, do it. Or take the same time off on your way north. Not worth the extra cost, tub leaked and noisy. There is a Subway at the gas station heading north on this exit, if you are as tired as I was, that might be your best best for something to eat.
I checked in late and had to use the jail window. Guy was friendly enough and let me extend my checkout till 12. Property looks older but very well maintained. My room was TINY. Smallest hotel room ever, BUT, it was very nice. Faux hardwood floors and updated decor inside. Nice flat screen TV with a bevy of channels. WiFi worked well with a nice work desk. AC unit was old, and I could hardly read the controls. Water pressure was passable, but I never could get cold water. Hot water was nice though. I slept great, no noise issues at all. Hotel is WAY up a hill and away from everything. Easily one of the nicest Econo Lodges I've stayed at.
As somewhat of an Econo-Lodge frequent flyer, I can say that this motel was exceptional as compared to other Econo-Lodge accomodations. Granite countertops, mini-fridge (with both freezer and fridge), working ice machine, and comfy bed. Most rooms on the ground floor. Very clean. Internet service sketchy, but flowers in the garden made up for that. Checkout was kind of a bummer, but no worries. I don't do breakfast, however. How about letting me have coffee in the room instead?
Room appeared newly remodeled, bed was comfortable. Night staff person was very nice and welcoming. The owners were there in the morning not very friendly. Night staff said that they had breakfast-there was cereal in canisters, bananas and coffee that was all. People next to me said that you could make your own waffle if you wanted. When I walked into the lobby to check out the breakfast no one welcomed me or offered to show me where the milk was or tell me about the waffle process. I basically got coffee and a banana and left. When I handed in my key later to check out they basically just took the key. I didn't need super friendly but on a customer service scale of 1-10 I'd give them a 1.
My family of five stayed one night while travelling back to Houston. The staff at night did a great job of making us feel welcome and taking care of our needs. The room was what we needed. It was a little rough around the edges, but it was three beds and the price was good. My problem was checking out. Being on a roadie from Houston to DC and then home, my family brought three pillows with us. After we turned the keys in, we received a call from the front desk saying that we stole a pillow based on he observation of our vehicle. The representative told me that she saw my wife hide the pillow. The representative did not even bother to check the room before calling us and accusing us of stealing. I was shocked! It was a decent stay that ended poorly!
We stayed at the Econo Lodge because of the good reviews and high ratings. We were not disappointed, and would stay there again. It doesn't have a pool or gym, but we weren't going to use those anyway. Breakfast is limited but we found it adequate (waffle maker and a couple kinds of cereal, fruit juice and milk, some fruit, coffee and tea). We augmented breakfast with some ham we brought with us. The room seemed to have been recently renovated, with nice granite in the shower and sink area, nice quality furnishings. There was a small refrigerator and microwave. The mattress was excellent, high quality and seemed new. Everything was clean. The breakfast area is small, but not crowded when we were there. There was a computer at a small desk available in the lobby. For the very reasonable price, we consider it an excellent value.
Let me start by saying the staff was lovely and my problems were not with staffing. Upon entry and first impression, the room was newly painted, looked very clean, and bl nice furnishings. When I went to wash my hands, roaches ran out around the rim of sink and vanity. Small nasty invasive roaches. So I went immediately to the beds and pulled back the comforter. One bed was fine, but the other had hair in it. Not 10 minutes after checking in, I checked out. It's a shame, because it could be a nice place.
