My wife & I visited this hotel in the off season & found the place to be good but not great. The nice thing is that this is pretty close to the train station, meaning that day trips into Venice are pretty easy. We drove and hit other parts of Italy, so we definitely needed a hotel off the beaten path where we could park (meaning there is no way we could stay in Venice). The rooms were clean and average size. The restaurant was good & reasonably priced. The hotel does have a sauna, steam shower & pool. The pool was unheated (but, it was October...so I think it was shut down for the season). Sauna & steam showers are pretty nice after a long day in Venice. There are some other restaurants within walking distance that are probably a better value than the one on site. I recommend the one next door. Also, I will say that we stayed at 2 other hotels during our vacation and this was by far the easiest to find.
It's a bit isolated from other attractions so I wouldn't consider it a good base for visiting the area and there aren't many amenities nearby. From a family friendly perspective, the cot we had requested wasn't in the room when we arrived but was provided promptly. We asked for milk for a baby's bottle and were charged €3 for it. Breakfast is okay with a reasonable choice, although it is served in the basement. We hadn't realised that the swimming pool was only outdoors so sadly it wasn't suitable for our 16month old. As it's an older building, the rooms are not fully sound proofed so we could hear our neighbours and when they were using their jacuzzi bath. We knew there was a city tax separate from our hotel charge, but strangely the hotel asked for the city tax in cash even though we were settling the rest of our bill by credit card. Just to flag there are mosquitoes in the area.
Obvious that september is not the most correct month to visit this old-fashioned spa style hotel. You even can swim in outdoor green-covered openair pool in late summer time. You will love the silence, bamboo garden, stylish old looking interior while lacking a lot of modern world hotel amenities.
The room was big and we got upgraded to a junior suite. The staff is attentive and the rooms are up to a high standard There is free access to a pool which proves nice. Overall a very good experience, however the hotel can be a bit far from the city centre. If you plan to use a bus to get there, plan in advance as the Treviso transport system can prove tricky.
We stayed here on a recent trip to venice. The hotel was comfortable to stay in with great air conditioning in the rooms which was a god send in the heat. The breakfast was basic which wasn't an issue for us but may be for those seeking a more varied meal. The pool area was lovely, however there was occasionally limited sun loungers available. The area doesn't have much to it but there is a train station a 20 min walk away or a bus into Treviso. Overall the Hotel was decent and the staff were very friendly. I would stay here again but only for a short time.
We had just completed a seven day cruise from Venice and needed somewhere to rest before our flight home late at night from Treviso airport. The hotel allowed us to book a room for the use of the five of us. We made best use of the room and amenities e.g. pool and bar. The pool was of a good size and was much enjoyed by our six year old not being too deep. It is a bit tired as is the rest of the hotel. We had a bar snack i.e mixed salad and panini's which were very nice. However we chose to sit outside on the shaded patio. The bar staff warned us about the mosquitoes which flew about us in hordes. So we sprayed ourselves liberally with repellent but it was too late for my wife who had been bitten earlier in the pool area. Why the hotel do not spray the communal areas with a suitable repellent i.e. the bushes that border these areas is a mystery. No wonder there was very few people in sight. The room was adequate but devoid of aircon. ? The seating in the communal areas is not very comfortable.
We were on a Titan tour of Italy and this first hotel was not a good start. Our evening meals were awful, our first course was Rissoto but it came in a slice! Our dessert was one orange sliced! The breakfasts were better and staff helpful, it avoid the scrambled egg! There were tea/coffe making facilities but we couldn't use them as the plug sockets and electrics were very odd! When we enquired we were met with a surly response and had to ask twice more. It turned out we needed an adaptor or use it, but not the one we had brought, this one was a strange type and the whole thing was not worth the effort just to have a cuppa! Our room was dated was large and pleasant, and although the shower head was not powerful, it was fine. The pool was very nice and in a pleasant setting, it you had to obtain a pass with a five euro deposit just to sit out there! Then they haggled when I returned my pass in order to have my deposit returned. Returning to the awful dinners, we later found out that there was a good dining room with "proper" food but obviously not for us package plebs!
Beautiful property, very nice staff.... rooms were large and well maintained. We were on the second floor near the large staircase.... the noise in the evening from the bat area was very distracting, as it traveled right up the staircase to our room. We had a problem with the TV that took two complaints to the front desk to repair ( actually the second complaint afforded us a replacement TV ). The downtown area was a nice surprise. After spending our days in Venice, coming home to a quiet meal in town was a welcomed surprise. If you exit the hotel, make a right and head into town for some fabulous restaurants.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights here at the start of our holiday and one night at the end. We flew into and out of Treviso airport which is only about 10 minutes away, but not on the flight path. If you don't fancy staying in Venice but want to visit the city, this hotel is ideally placed. An older building at the front has been seamlessly linked to a larger, newer block at the back. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with air conditioning and a fridge. The breakfast was really good and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We didn't take meals, other than breakfast or use the bar, preferring to go out. There are good restaurants within walking distance. There is a lovely outdoor swimming pool, which is a Godsend in the heat and the hotel is set in pleasnt, quiet grounds away from the noise of the main road.. The hotel allowed us to use the pool before our afternoon departure for the airport even though we had checked out that morning. The price was very reasonable...you would be hard pressed to get that level of quality at the price in the UK. Because of the regular buses to Treviso and Venice from outside the hotel, you could do without a car. But it is a great base with a car for getting to Padua, Verona, Vicenza and into the spectacular Dolomites. It will be our first choice if we are back in that part of Italy.
We stayed here for three nights as part of a tour group. Such groups seem to be the hotel's main business. Check in was promptly handled and our cases delivered to our room after too much delay, The room was reasonably clean though clearly in need of refurbishment. There was only one available power point. The wardrobe and shower doors didn't close. Staining to surfaces was evident throughout. There was a small TV - only one English language channel available. Wardrobe space was limited. The room was quite large Bar service was good though I struggled to understand why prices there were higher than in the restaurant. There the food given to tour groups varied from mediocre to unacceptable: soggy pasta with a tasteless sauce followed by a small meat portion and hugely over cooked vegetables and then tinned fruit salad at dinner for example. Breakfast was no better. Staff attitudes, praised by some reviewers. needed improvement in my view. For example, getting extra milk for the tea and coffee making facilities in our room was a trial. I suspect that the positive reviews here come from independent travellers. If you are part of a tour group be warned. Looking at the reviews, the way in which hotel management respond to each in exactly the same way is an indication of their real approach to clients.
