My wife and I stayed 2 nights here at the start of our holiday and one night at the end. We flew into and out of Treviso airport which is only about 10 minutes away, but not on the flight path. If you don't fancy staying in Venice but want to visit the city, this hotel is ideally placed. An older building at the front has been seamlessly linked to a larger, newer block at the back. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with air conditioning and a fridge. The breakfast was really good and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We didn't take meals, other than breakfast or use the bar, preferring to go out. There are good restaurants within walking distance. There is a lovely outdoor swimming pool, which is a Godsend in the heat and the hotel is set in pleasnt, quiet grounds away from the noise of the main road.. The hotel allowed us to use the pool before our afternoon departure for the airport even though we had checked out that morning. The price was very reasonable...you would be hard pressed to get that level of quality at the price in the UK. Because of the regular buses to Treviso and Venice from outside the hotel, you could do without a car. But it is a great base with a car for getting to Padua, Verona, Vicenza and into the spectacular Dolomites. It will be our first choice if we are back in that part of Italy.
We stayed here for three nights as part of a tour group. Such groups seem to be the hotel's main business. Check in was promptly handled and our cases delivered to our room after too much delay, The room was reasonably clean though clearly in need of refurbishment. There was only one available power point. The wardrobe and shower doors didn't close. Staining to surfaces was evident throughout. There was a small TV - only one English language channel available. Wardrobe space was limited. The room was quite large Bar service was good though I struggled to understand why prices there were higher than in the restaurant. There the food given to tour groups varied from mediocre to unacceptable: soggy pasta with a tasteless sauce followed by a small meat portion and hugely over cooked vegetables and then tinned fruit salad at dinner for example. Breakfast was no better. Staff attitudes, praised by some reviewers. needed improvement in my view. For example, getting extra milk for the tea and coffee making facilities in our room was a trial. I suspect that the positive reviews here come from independent travellers. If you are part of a tour group be warned. Looking at the reviews, the way in which hotel management respond to each in exactly the same way is an indication of their real approach to clients.
We stayed 4 days at Villa Pace Hotel. Friendly, helpful and efficient Reception staff, clean and quiet rooms/bathrooms - just what you need after a day in bustling, crowded and hot Venice. Excellent breakfast (apart from the strange scrambled egg!) and we enjoyed two very good evening meals there. Garden pool very relaxing too! Bar staff sometimes need to be called to the bar! It is a few minutes out of Treviso, but on a straight road in and with a good bus ride into town. PS Don't miss the Pasticceria Terraglio just along the road.
Very nice hotel to stay , ignore the restaurant and breakfast , the parking is great , the Bar is good online price is to high . Area is very calm and relax , garden is beautiful , service is ok , check in and staf are very kind
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night before flying home from Treviso airport. On a positive, the young boy behind reception was extremely kind and helpful. Other than him, the hotel was awful :( our room was dated and smelt of old cigarettes. There was no hot water the entire time we were there. I called reception and they said this was because they had a problem with their boiler. When paying a decent amount for a hotel room especially a chain like Best Western, then you expect a certain standard. This standard is completely missed in this hotel.
Everrything about this hotel is old school. Lift, breakfast, toilet, window etc.... other than the stained and used toilet seat, cleanliness is general ok for this hotel. You could near chairs or luggages being dragged outside or above the hotel room. In terms of location, it is kind of middle of no where.
Room was very clean, but furniture seemed to be close to 20 years old. The hotel is also known as the Best Western which is how some signs read leading to hotel which caused some confusion. Room had "air conditioning" which did nothing. Ended up opening windows which was nice but allowed mosquitos in. Breakfast staff was awesome. Very friendly and on top of things. Front desk staff was good. They were knowledgeable on how to get to Venice. They don't take credit cards for anything under $20 which would have been nice to know before arrival. I recommend using the Preganziol train station to get to Venice. It's a 5 minute drive from the hotel with a ton of free parking. The train is only 30 minutes to the heart of Venice.
This hotel is not close to anything. As we were on an organised tour, we had a coach to take us to Venice, Padua & Vincenza. All of which were good. No shops near by, except 1 pastry cafe. Rooms were clean with tea making stuff. Food not so good. Dinner resembled school dinners and there was not much of it. Be aware buying drinks at their bar was more expensive than in the restaurant. A bottle of OK wine was 14 Euros in the restaurant and 20 from the bar. Not a hotel we would choose to use again!
The hotel staff greeted us very nicely indeed, but on seeing my room, I was very disappointed to find that it was a single room, yet I had paid a single supplement! Room and ensuite were a little dated, though very quiet. First morning's breakfast very disappointing...a little tinned fruit on offer and though there were some fresh fruits like pears, kiwis, etc, they were all underripe and inedible. The only hot breakfast available was scrambled egg, which had been sitting there so long it had turned leathery. When I asked for a fried egg, I was told it would be at a supplement of €5.00. Certainly not what I expect from a 4-star hotel! My shower did not work, but on mentioning it, it was fixed by next morning. All the staff I met were absolutely lovely, but I cannot agree that this hotel should be classed as a 4-star. On the up-side, there is a bus stop right outside and busses into town are every 30mins. Just €2.50 for a return trip into Treviso town. €9.00 to the airport.
A very good choice for staying close to venice/treviso airport but feeling wellcomed. Cozy place, decent food and big rooms. I saw you can even rent a bicycle. Lots of parking spots available in the yard.
