Hotel was well appointed- the front desk chap had a bad attitude and made us feel really unwelcome, especially with his couldn't care less approach to our request for laundry services. He even told us to complain on TA. This attitude transferred to the barman who was so unhappy about serving us, we couldn't believe how he survived as an independent contractor running the Hotel Bar. Couldn't wait to get out of there- we arrived from a cycling tour, maybe they think cyclists are inferior tourists. We spend like everyone else!

There's much to commend in this hotel but the little things leave it just short of very good. I suppose it would have been the height of style in 1976, but it feels just a little bit left behind. The number of notices is impressive and there are all sorts of rules and regulations spelt out that undo the warm welcome given on arrival. We were staying for three nights for the recent Gloucester rugby match and were not terribly impressed to receive a call from reception on Saturday morning saying we needed to be out of our room by 11am for the maid to clean it (we were checking out the next day!) The cockerel theme of the hotel is done to death although the crowing cock clock, that signalled the end of breakfast at 10am, was amusing. The breakfast spread was quite impressive but it would have been nice to have been offered more tea. The double room was massive and clean, although the bed was hard and was simply two single mattresses pushed together. Location is out of town but reasonably handy for the railway station and, most importantly, the rugby ground (Glos won 41-0, by the way!)

A hotel outside the walls of the old town, the Ca del Galletto has been purpose built as a high class hotel. Even though it is a little dated these days, it still provides every comfort a business traveller could need. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. There is a public lounge. Attached to the hotel, but independent, there is a bistro, bar and restaurant where hotel guests may receive a discount. There is secure outdoor parking. The hotel is some distance from the old town - walkable, but uncomfortable. It is in an area of no interest with few local facilities.

The hotel itself is very nice - clean, with all amentities, quite. There is a restaurant just next to it which was also nice. What you have to bear in mind is that from the Treviso airport, it will cost you EUR 17 to reach the hotel by taxi and the public transport is not very convenient, in particular on holidays. So plan carefully how you will reach the hotel.

I book for the hotel for one night 01/08/16 The moment I get in room I say the air condition is not ok . They told me to wait for half an hour it will feel cold so I wait one hour and it was so hot in the room. I ask them to Chang my room so the behave so rude to me and insist that the air condition is ok. So they give my passport back just kick me out side like a dog and insist to charge for the room. I booked throw booking com I send them many messages but they did not answer yet. So I book to hotel Maggior Consiglio throw hotel com. I travel a lot more thai 50 night a year I never experience such a rude people Sincerely Motti

The hotel has spacious rooms and free parking. It is located slightly off town center. They provide bikes, but riding did not feel safe enough to me, preferred to walk about 1 km to town. Breakfast was included in our rate. It was pretty decent. One drawback: it was rather warm in the room, but the air conditioner could not be turned on. This seems to be common in some hotels in Italy and Spain. They don't turn AC on until midsummer. We stayed there to get a different/quieter perspective on Veneto region after wonderful, but crowded Venice. Treviso is a nice well-off town. We also enjoyed day trip from it to Castelfranco and Bassano del Grappa.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon after a five-hour drive. The receptionist, Franco, was unfriendly, bordering on hostile. After taking our passports and issuing us with a sheet of 'instructions', he seemed to take pleasure in telling us that the bar and the restaurant were closed 'as they always close on a Sunday'. When we came down again to ask about the sauna, we were told to read the instruction sheet. The dark and gloomy theme continued from the reception to the room where the rock solid bed offered no comfort. The breakfast was minimal, not unusual for Italy, but the lady who served breakfast was very hospitable and could teach the reception staff a thing or two about meet and greet procedures. Nevertheless, I would avoid this hotel in future.

stayed here for a rugby match which is a 20 min walk away . town 20 min walk other way. room good. reception was friendly and helpful. hotel out of town a bit . breakfast good. didnt use hotel facilities but would staythere again

We enjoyed a short family break in this delightful hotel in Treviso recently to celebrate my 50th birthday. The service from all staff was outstanding and the hotel was excellent. The town of Treviso is really lovely with a blend of traditional and more contemporary things to do and see. The hotel had complimentary bicycles for guests and it took a few minutes to reach the town centre on dedicated cycle paths along the river. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and the staff were truly amazing and genuinely friendly and helpful. We will definitiely retrun hopefully sooner rather than later. The Smiths

Excellent service, super breakfast! We had the Superior Double with a fantastic whirlpool-hydromassage-bath-tube! Breakfast ist various and delicous, staff superfriendly! 15 minutes-walk to the town-center.
