Very nice room , very comfy bed , nice sitting area

The motel is a decent place. Things I didn't like: I chose not to eat there as there wasn't any halfway healthy options and they used styrofoam. I can't justify using styrofoam. Housekeeping skipped my room one day which was very disappointing. Hotel staff didn't offer anything besides saying they were sorry. Road noise was loud in the room and the beds were quite hard. What I did like: The rooms were quite roomy and the hotel lobby staff were very pleasant. Even with the negatives I would stay there again. I'd ask for a room further away from the road with a softer bed. I'd just plan on not eating breakfast there.

A warm greeting from our host at the front desk, great value for the location near the water front and still close to downtown Traverse City. The bed was very comfortable and the room was in excellent condition. Very clean. I would be very happy to stay again should I return.

There is indescribable smell but can be tolerated. No trash bin in bathroom. Limited breakfast choices.

Kind of run down. Stairway is old and unsafe with ripped carpeting. Broken tiles in bathroom. One tiny trash can in the room and none in the bathroom. Matress was the worst I've ever slept on besides a sofa bed. Main issue? Our room had no window. I'm not talking about no view I literally mean no windows at all. So if you want to pay two hundred bucks to stay in a storage closet turned hotel room come here.

The floor around the "jet tub" was so bad, when I stepped on it, made a horrible noise, and made me wonder if water damage was so bad, that it might be unsafe. Never tried the tub I paid extra for. Also the hotel was practically empty, and I couldn't get a first floor room, instead I had to climb up a rickety iron staircase, with my bad back. Not very accommodating. So no, I would not go back.

Stayed at the Howard Johnson Of Traverse City for one night. Nice and fairly clean place. I did find someone's socks by the bed and returned them to the Front Desk. The non-smoking room was truly clean and no smoking smell (unlike some hotels that only advertise non-smoking). Good stay overall.

No ironing board or microwave in room. Otherwise an excellent lodging experience.

We came to this hotel in the off season and it was so cheap!! We were thinking about coming back some time in July, but the rates had tripled! Early May was the best time for us to come. I would definitely book a room here again if I were staying in Traverse City

Great hotel for the price! My son and I stayed here when he had an early doctor appointment the next day. I had forgotten some paper work for the appointment and had to have my husband fax it to me. The front desk staff was very helpful with this! Room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel was a great place to stay when we had doctor appts in Traverse City. Very easy to get to, staff very accommodating, had everything we needed. Price was right.

I always choose this hotel when I stay in Traverse City. Rooms are always clean and I think the price is great!

This place gives you the value for your money. The lady at the front desk was very fiendly. Upgraded our room at no extra cost. Ignore the swimming pool, it is practically non-existent (unless you are willing to plunge into dried leaves and mud in the water.) Overall, good experience. Breakfast is the standard free breakfast you get with hotel stays - cereal, milk, bread, bagels, orange juice, coffee. Nothing out of the box.

This is the second year we have stayed in this hotel while in the area visiting relatives during the Holidays. The staff and room were as nice as last year. I suspect its the Summer crowd that gives this a low rating because its really a deal for the money and area and time of the year.

Good stay, good for the money spent. staff are good and helpping nature. recommended for short durations. you will get equal to what you spent. overall not bad

The motel was a regular motel with no frills. It was clean and the room was ready when it was supposed to be. Close to downtown Traverse City.

Rooms are newly updated. Staff were friendly. Quiet hotel.

Our room was clean but had a heavy cleaner smell. Beds comfortable. Convenient Traverse City location. Good value for that town in the summer. Limited breakfast.

this hotel was clean quiet and easy to find, nicely decorated

Very clean and comfortable. Close to town and activities
