The room size and layout worked well for us. The only comment for improvement I have is that the hotel needs a thorough cleaning. The carpets need to be thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. There was dirt along the baseboards. I also feel there needs to be someone dedicated to managing breakfast each morning. Both days we were there included the main hotel clerk working the front desk and trying to keep up with the breakfast area. This is too much for one person.

Had to esoteric get into room but the rest was fine

It's reasonably comfortable, room was very small. The shower head had black mold growing on it. Towels looked dingy. Wallpaper is peeling. One day housekeeping made the beds very poorly, including leaving a pillow on the floor. (It wasn't on the floor when we left.) Even though it is in the rules not to smoke at doorways, it was the rare time someone wasn't smoking at the entrance. The back door handle was taped so it would not lock, decreasing security of the place. The beds were a bit hard but ok. The pool and hot tub area are nice, but they could lose the dusty tattered artificial plants in the pool area, including one that blocks safety equipment.

We were very pleased with the hotel's location being just several miles south of Traverse City, MI. and right off Highway 37. It was very quiet there and we looked forward to coming "home" each evening after being out all day taking in the sights and colors. The coffee bar is available at all times, and we especially enjoyed the yummy cookies at the front desk every evening. The price was a great value and the staff very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff was friendly. The room was not very clean, long dark hair was on the vanity counter top and around the coffee pot. Dried urine was on the toilet rim. Not a place I would stay again. The view from the room had pretty fall colors but on of the windows seal was broken and cloudy.

I read some less than spectacular reviews of this hotel and was a bit leery of reserving a room. However, as I told the morning desk person, I don't understand why these other reviews were so harsh. Yes the hotel could use some updating but our room was clean, the beds comfortable. The pool was cool--too cool, but that didn't stop my kid lets and me from going in. The breakfast was like a lot of continentals, so so. I'd stay here again.

Little out dated and the wallpaper needs replaced but everything else was good.

Thought the room was small to be a suite and for the price. Breakfast was just ok nothing special. Pool also was small

When I checked, in the front desk associate was sitting down and stuffing her face with popcorn. She never even stood up. Very unprofessional. She was polite, though. My room was "clean-ish" The tea bags, in the room amenities basket, looked like they had gotten wet and the cleaning staff failed to change them. There was a dirty sock under the radiator and there was visible dust under the television, in the radiator and on the lamp shades. The bed was clean and there were plenty of towels. The people next door were noisy but that is not the fault of the hotel. However, I will probably not be staying at this hotel again. The hotel needs to be upgraded.

This was a great hotel for a nice price! The free breakfast was wonderful for a continental breakfast and the coffee pot did not run dry all day. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable beds. The hot tub was great at night and a good size. The breakfast was pretty good for being continental. Overall, it was a wonderful trip.

The only time we had to enjoy the pool and the heater evidently wasn't working because the pool was cold! Hot tub was nice though. We heard the next day the heater on the pool was fixed although we weren't able to find out for sure. We love the area though and this was just a place to rest our wine-laden bodies!

Conveniently located for both shopping and dining. The staff was helpfull and accommodating. The room was nice but tv could have been updated.

The hotel was in a good location for us to explore the area. The price was right as we didn't need much more than a bed to flop in when we returned from our travels. The staff was friendly and tho the room wasn't updated and fancy....it was clean and the beds comfy.

Bob at the desk was great. Anything you wanted to know about in the TC area. Great sugestions on places to eat.

The hotel is conveniently located near a mall and many restaurants. It is also easy to find.

I have never had such a restful night at a hotel. The bed and pillows were WONDERFUL! You just melt into them! I wanted to take them home!

Our "non-smoking" room, stunk horribly of cigarette smoke! The room layout was not what is in the pictures. Air conditioner did not work and had to be replaced, without moving us to another room or offerring any compensation! FAR, FAR, FAR from impressed!!!!!!!

in a easily accessible location on the outskirts of the city. Dining area and continental breakfast were especially nice. A request for early checkin was cheerfully accommodated. Some maintenance needed since window in room did not fully close.

I made this trip with my Aunt and cousin and we had a very good time. This hotel was clean and the staff was very courteous.
