A warm, efficient welcome and a very comfortable room overlooking the fine gardens and outdoor pools. We slept well, dined and breakfasted very well and found it an excellent base to explore south-western Sicily.
We stayed for few days at the beginning of September. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The hotel looks like a huge private villa, giving a very special first impression, this is matched by the lovely friendly reception team who could not have been more helpful. We had originally booked a superior room, but had decided to downgrade to a standard room so we could have two adjoining rooms, we were certainly not disappointed. Our rooms were quite frankly huge, beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean, and with the adjoining door it was like having our own private apartment. The pool area is lovely, never over crowded even in early September, with plenty of places to avoid the sun if need be. The grounds are substantial and a lovely place to wander round, it’s so easy to find a place of your own to just sit and read un-disturbed for hours. The restaurants were good, offering a great selection, the only thing to let them down was the wasps by the pool bar. I understand why the hotel likes to serve lunch there, but with the wasps it may have been better to offer an alternate, say back in the breakfast/main restaurant. As we were only half board, our trick was to order from the snack menu after 2pm, where we could eat at our sun lounger away from where the wasps were. Overall, first class stay, and great value for money!!
Our room was large and lovely. The whole complex was pretty and vast, away from crowds and very pleasant to come back to after exploring surrounding areas during the day. The breakfasts were very complete and service was great. The large balcony with table and chairs was a wonderful bonus.
The Hotel is located approx 10k inland from Mazara and is surrounded by vineyards for as far as you can see. We flew into Palermo and hired a car, the drive to the hotel took approx 90 mins with breathtaking scenery. The room we had was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the restaurant and pool. The pool area had plenty of loungers with a bar and covered seating for food. There is also a Spa, descent gym and indoor pool. The staff were excellent in my opinion, engaging and helpful. We stayed half board and the food was not 5 star but still good, if fact we had lunch at the pool most days also. A trip to one of the many wineries in the region is worth the trip. This can be organised for you at reception.
This is not a bad hotel, but there are lots of small things that detract from it being a genuine luxury hotel. For instance the lunch menu is not good as it consists as a couple of options and a substandard buffet, whilst dinner was enjoyable but only had two options per course. The fitness suite didn't appear to have air con and had a fairly limited range of equipment. The pools were lovely, even if the indoor one was a little hot. Overall the staff were incredibly friendly and it's a shame that the above points haven't been fixed as it would then be a truly brilliant hotel. Note, if you stay here it is massively worth visiting one of the vineyards nearby and I would recommend Gorghi Tondi as we had a really interesting tour there!
We spent 10 days in Giardino Costanza and we are very satisfied. Structure is huge and nice, all amenities available. There could be small improvements which could make it excellent (I.e. 24hrs room service or simply the availability of a restaurant menu in the room). A big thanks to the reception and particularly to Caterina for her kind support at all requests as well as to Antonino at the restaurant who was very fast in satisfying our requests. Well positioned and if you have a car from Mazara you can easily reach stunning places. The beach lido di costanza is also a little private jewel, for which I also recommend a visit when there.
The hotel rooms are spacious and luxurious. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained and the staff are helpful and very friendly. The wifi does NOT work properly ever!!!! And when I asked at reception they didn't seem to care. The hotel is quite isolated so one really needs a car but there is plenty of parking. Had a fab and really relaxing week here. Grazie!
Very tired looking hotel, with some smelly furniture. Staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Breakfast was OK but not great, mostly big coach tours in the place. A shame because if someone spent some money and effort on it could be really nice.
We booked a Junior Suite at the Giardino di Costanza Resort a few days before arriving as we had changed our itinerary, We were driving and our GPS did not recognize the address "Via Salemi Km 7100." We circumnavigated Mazara del Vallo several times without finding a sign directing us to the hotel. The person at the reception was no help, and continued to insist that we find the "obelisk". We didn't find it. Finally, we found the obelisk and a faded sign to the hotel. It is about 7-km out of town. Once there, we found a beautiful resort manned by a very friendly staff. We were assigned a Junior Suite that was, in fact, just a large room. It did have a huge terrace. Lunch at the poolside restaurant was a mediocre to poor event. The small buffet had been picked over and not replenished. The price was high and the service slow. For the remainder of our three-night stay, we had only breakfast which was a well stocked buffet, but not exceptional. We did not use the resort's health facilities, spa or pool. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom well equipped and room with a tub and a shower room. (We had a problem with the toilet, but it was fixed quickly.) The staff was helpful in helping with our bags and getting our rental car packed. Do not miss the Dancing Satyr in Mazara.
This absolutely wonderful hotel is full of fantastic trees, flowers and open spaces. The dinner is simply fantastic, with typical dishes, music and candels. The very big swimming pool very nice, with the bar inside it. Finally, is useful and very efficient service to go and come back from the beach, n exclusive beach with restaurant and every service. In few worlds the real relax!
