Business trip required local hotel in Tourcoing. Previously stayed in Mercure and also had colleagues in other hotels in the area. Food here is excellent, the chef has previous experience in higher end venues. Manager is very passionate about developing the hotel, attentive to service, bringing in news regional beers, and has a growing whisky collection. I will stay here again.

Visiting the area for the Paris Roubaix race and challenge, Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spoke English and even understood some of my ( rubbish) French. The bar and restaurant were good. There is a Metro station less that 100 yards away. 5km from the Roubaix velodrome.

Very comfortable budget hotel. Pros: very helpful English speaking staff available 24/7, bar on site, lots of breakfast options, comfortable beds and pillows, private shower, fresh towel every day, right by fast food and a grocery store, free wifi, right across the street from Mercure metro stop Cons: Can get a little noisy, the room smells a bit like smoke

To be fair this hotel isn't luxurious but it's well above average, which is great for budget accommodation. 24/7 receptions was ideal for our late check-in around midnight, quite place and nice surrounding area on the outskirts of Lille. Unfortunately, we've been late for breakfast, so I can't judge that. Otherwise, the room, the bathroom with a bath tub, been all nice and clean. Interior is ..interesting.. but nice looking. Check-out was easy and took us about 5 seconds))) however, the room was booked on points, which simplified the whole thing.

Second time we've stayed at this hotel it's ideally situated to get to the velodrome in nearby Roubaix for the annual Hell of the North. Checking in is always quick and easy. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The only problem we find with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning - the room gets very hot and you need to have the window open all the time! It's a shame that the restaurant isn't open at weekends - we've yet to find anywhere half decent to eat in the evenings apart from a nearby Quick Burger outlet. There probably are some decent places to eat if you head into Tourcoing, but to be honest we're always exhausted having walked 7 miles a day! THere is a very good supermarket next to the hotel where we managed to get some food for each day - don't forget the supermarket closes at lunchtime on a Sunday! Breakfast is an excellent option - lots to choose from and plenty of coffee. We'll definitely book this hotel again when we travel to watch the Paris Roubaix!

We stayed here during the braderie weekend. This hotel is well located for the event as the metro stop is across the street. The rooms are small, the mattresses are firm enough to be comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities, supermarket next door. Staff are very friendly. The area is not inviting.

Very good value for money. Mercury metro station immediately over road, so can get very easily and cheaply into Lille as well as Tourcoing and Roubaix. Own parking area and there's a supermarket and DIY shop next door. Rooms what you'd expect for the price, but handy to have coffee making facilities. Only toiletries were soap in dispensers and our own bar of soap disappeared after the first night, so take care with your own stuff! Stayed when it was freezing outside, but it was easy to control the temperature in the room. Ate in the restaurant and it was good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The area between Roubaix and Tourcoing is not good. Neither safe. The door of the hotel is locked and you lust ring the bell to the reception to go in. But the hotel is ok and very near the metro station "Mercure". For about 60 eur, you get a decent room, much better than the usual other budget hotels of that range. Beds are wide and soft. There is a boiler to prepare tea or coffee. The breakfast has much choice and is fresh. Conveniently, there is a supermarket and a fast-food next door. I didn't try the restaurant in the evening but it looks a bit expensive.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel is literally right outside the subway station which is nice. The area around the hotel, not the nicest but not the worst. Had a room with 2 single beds. Were quite comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a nice size with a tub shower. Only problem, from the bed nearest the vent you could hear people having sex in a lower room. I would suggest getting a room on the 0 or 1 floor to avoid noise rising up from the vents. Very good hotel for a very good price.
