We stayed in one of the modern, renovated rooms. It was clean and stylish with good airconditioning. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The selection was good for the buffet breakfast. When we arrived hot and tired from our bus journey, and the room was not quite ready, they gave us fruit juice and coffee, and two bottles of chilled water while we waited. The hotel is in a very good position, halfway between the train and bus station and the port. It was fine for a one night stay. We would go again.
Just a one-night stay between the Corsica ferry and the train, but very impressed with our room, the staff, and the breakfast. Our first visit to Toulon, but we'll happily stay here again! No hesitation about recommending the hotel.
The room was nice and we had a pleasant stay, however there were some flaws which should be improved... There was no fridge in the room so we couldn't have any of our own food stored. The balcony doors didn't close properly and thus during a thunder storm one night we had to stand and secure them to ensure they weren't blown open. Other than that, friendly staff, a nice place to visit and comfortable beds.
fantastic location - short walk from the train station and anything else within Toulon. very clean - lovely rooms that were clean and quirky. breakfast - all i could eat and good quality overall - if there is a better place to stay then good luck finding it.
When traveling away crom family you want a few things. Wifi is one of them. The wifi connection was terrible i had to wait until almost midnight to be able to communicate with my family. Unacceptable in todays traveling world. The shower was good. But no fridge in the room plus no ice bucket or machine.
It was perfect that we could have a family room. It's not often that a family of six persons can live together but You manager that. Perfect. Excellent breakfast. It was very good that it was free coffea, Tea and juice.
Stayed here 3 nights. Clean room. Good location. Some annoyances: - the shower head holder was broken and kept tilting back, which made it hard to take shower without holding the water with one hand. - the window in the room was broken and wouldn't lock so I slept in the cold the first night, but the staff seemed to have fixed it that day. - the wifi was extremely annoying because you have to log in EVERY TIME with the password and your email. Turn off your phone for 5 minutes? Open it again and now you have to log in again. In total I think I logged in like 20 times. Exceptionally annoying. - my room had a door to the neighboring room, so I could hear every tiny movement of the person in that room - as they were walking around, dressing up, or even shifting in their bed. awkward. otherwise it was good. the staff was friendly and spoke english enough to decent communicate.
We arrived on April 2nd 2017 we were allocated a twin room no 101 . Very small reception area , even smaller lift . The areas as well as rooms are kept very clean of that you could not fault . However the room 101 had pipes and water noises in old creaky pipes all night long the busier the hotel the worse the noise was . If you intend to have a quiet holiday book elsewhere . Even with double glazing the motorbikes up and down the road the sirens going up and down all night made for a very noisy stay . Breakfast was very simple with very little difference every day, quite often it was not kept topped up . No bar area . Small dining area . Again clean at all times . Only bonus to this hotel was the availability of drinks all day coffee tea and orange juice. The rooms lacked any personality need some art work on the walls. Good location in terms of the square good places to drink and eat , good ongoing transport links. Considering you could have had an all inclusive holiday for less than what we paid for 6 days stay . It is a 3 star hotel but I consider for the facilities and the breakfast dishes a very expensive hotel to stay at . Avoid room 101 at all costs unless you are deaf. They offer meals in the hotel in evenings microwave style didn't try them I'm afraid so no comment .
Amirauté is a good, comfortable hotel in Toulon at a very reasonable price. It is clean, has a nice bathroom and is generally well equipped. Perfect for a business trip, but too impersonal for a romantic holiday. Location is central, yet the area is quiet. Highly recommended.
This is a small hotel, close to Liberty Square, a good position to get to most of Toulon. It is clean, the staff are very helpful and speak good English. The rooms are basic but have all the necessities. There are no coffee making facilities in the rooms but there is a coffee machine downstairs in the dining room and the coffee/tea/chocolate is free all day. The hotel only does breakfast, no others meals but there many places to eat close by. The breakfast is a cold buffet but very nice. There is free wifi and also free landline calls to the UK. Some rooms have a bath with overhead shower, others have a large free standing shower.
