A great value for its location which is super close to Wellesley subway station, a liquor store, a bar, a chinese take out store and the longest most popular street in Toronto with its many shops. The hotel itself is a renovated house with no lobby; which made checking in a little odd. The room (right next to the entrance) has an odd arrangement with a stand alone toilet dividing the room into two. A bed on one side and a couch and shower on the other. However for the price you can't really complain all that much. The impersonal experience with staff, room layout and lack of continued support lands this particular hotel 4 stars.
It is located opposite to the Wellesley subway station, an unbeatable location. The room is stylish with nice speaker for music. It can explain the price of it. However, there is an issue about the blind. It is too thin which affects privacy when changing. So I have to close the door in the tiny bathroom which I can’t turn around. The most impotant thing is an outdoor house light is right besides the window. It means I have to sleep with the light on. There is no front desk and no way I can find the people working there. Primary need is not reached. Change the blind, slove the problem.
Location is perfect, across the street from Wellesley Subway Station. Also near Church St and Gay Village. Beautiful room, nice TV, nice bluetooth speaker system, WIFI was a little weak. My room was quaint, good for 1 person or 2 if you know each other.
Unfortunately we had a room in the basement, with inside of a subway station view with the sound included. If want to rest, don't accept the basement rooms. The cleaning and general condition of the room was good though. No front desk so don't spect a normal hotel attention and service. The location was good, just a few blocks from downtown and obviously from a metro station.
the room was newly renovated and very modern. very clean and location was amazing. Anthony is a great host. Across from train station. only thing is no elevator. public parking lot was next to hotel...
We arrived at Wellesley Manor around 3pm and we were greeted with smiles and small talk about where we are from and our plans in Toronto. We were promptly shown to our room and he also help carry my bags (stairs and a heavy roller suitcase). Once in the room he showed us how to adjust and turn on & off A.C as well as wifi instructions. Our room was very clean, cute yet tiny which is no problem when your there for the 3 S- sleep, S** and showers. Check out was easy by just leaving your room key on the bed. All in all we would love to go back for the atmosphere of the rooms
We just checked out of Wellesley Manor boutique hotel and still can't believe how incredible the service was! They went above and beyond to ensure our stay went great from the moment we stepped in. Location is fab, rooms are nicely decorated, lovely bathroom - we highly recommend a stay!
Centrally located in the village, the hotel was quiet, clean, and a close walk or subway ride to other parts of the city. I loved the fact that my room had a pole, a first, and it was fun to whirl around while brushing my teeth! Although there is no on-site staff the manager was just a call away. He was courteous, kind, and helpful!
The only positive is that there isn't a elevator to wait for. The running shower had a weird smell to it, the room was very small despite having one of the bigger rooms booked. Perhaps because it was New Year's Eve the prices were so high. There are a lot of "fancy" fixtures, crown moulding, antique tables, marble floor mandalas, but it's very small for 3 people. We felt like we were giants because the room was so small. If you need a quick place to stay and not really need it to "live" in, then this will do. It's close to a pub, and some fast food places if you need a quick bite to eat. It's a small house and surprisingly not that much noise.
We booked a double room said it was deluxe ! It's in the basement with bars on the window and a wall where my husband sleeps he had to climb over me to get in bed ! Room very clean but never deluxe !!! We can hear the metro in our room !!! Very poor Expedia you need to take this off your web page it's not suitable for tourists , don't eat in the pub next door either it has a drink called a bear f#%*k my goodness !
