Super 8 Toronto East ON

I was visiting Toronto for the first time, so the Super 8 was ideal in that it is affordable, offers a lot of amenities, and is right by a TTC bus station--anyone who has never been to Toronto, I highly recommend keeping your car parked at the Super 8 and taking the TTC to downtown (It's only CAN$3/ride, including transfers.), as parking in the city can be expensive. With regards to the motel itself: the staff was friendly and the pool & hot tub (or spa as they call it) were both relaxing. Breakfast was a complete surprise: I was expecting maybe coffee with a box of store-bought donuts (along the lines of Tastykakes) or honey buns, but instead they offered cereal, toast, pastries, and fresh waffles, along with coffee, milk, and juice--just needed eggs and some sort of breakfast meat for it to be a full hot continental breakfast. My only complaint--and I'm not necessarily blaming the motel for this--is that they require a CAN$100 deposit (or about $82 US) on a major credit card that is refunded when you check out, despite having already paid for the booking itself months prior. They claim its the law in Canada, and they almost didn't take my debit card as a credit card until I told them that I didn't have a credit card. (This by choice, not due to bad credit.) I'm not blaming them for this, but I've never gone to a motel in either the US or Canada and had to pay a security deposit on a room I already paid for. At least it was refundable. Overall, I would stay here again and I highly recommend anyone to do it.

Clean, great location, friendly staff, good price.

Good location. Clean. Friendly staff. Decent price.

I live out of hotels, and this one made me nervous. There were only 2 other people staying the 2 nights I stayed and that was a bit worrisome. Halls were dirty and smelled of smoke. Office made a lot of mistakes. Room was fairly clean, and comfortable but the tea maker was broken. Would not stay there again.

Felt the place was outdated, breakfast area - small, lack of seating. Parking lot was dirty - old toilets laying around, garbage bags were laying around not in garbage bins, no parking area for people who may be towing a cargo trailer or smaill utility trailer.

Took road trip from Chicago to Toronto to see the Bears play the Bills...Hotel was clean, Continental breakfast included, all hotel personal was exceptionally polite. Overall, I would definately stay at the same hotel again...for the price it was perfect for us. Did not have to pay for parking like at most hotels..we are not picky people. Got excellent hotel for the price we paid. Thank you Super Motel 8 and WE LOVE CANADA!!

Clean rooms, Excellent front desk staff.

We only stayed one night, we were visiting Toronto. Our plan was to stay there and go to CN Tower and visit other places. The Motel was ok, they need to upgrade room and equipments like AC, light fixtures and all that. Not bad for one night though.

The hotel was clean and quiet. It was difficult to communicate with the hotel staff due to language barrier. We had to continually request enough washclothes and bath towels to accommodate our family of four. The hotel is located in a good location to be able to enjoy many area attractions. The pool was immaculately clean.

Hotel is Okay, But kind of run down place. I could hear what people in next room are talking. Bathroom flush was not working. Everything in the hotel need to be upgraded including but not limited to Beds, Bathrooms. Refrigerator had some smell coming from it. Wireless high speed Internet was good and free. That is the thing i liked in this hotel.
