My first experience at Intercontinental and I was extremely impressed. The staff were welcoming and polite, my room was spotless and the hotel was quiet. I enjoyed some wine in the bar and again the staff were excellent to deal with and the ambiance was perfect. Absolutely loved the Christmas tree in the lobby!!
Staff was great. Stayed in August. Loved the hotel mainly because of the location. It was close to great shopping and nice upscale restaurants. The room was adequate and roomy. I was on the top floor with a great view out my large window.
Location great, hotel good in all respects, service admirable and the room menus and breakfast menus just great. gym perfect and pool adequate. All in all a good experience, to be repeated and it will.
Excellent services and very clean! Small lounge but very good comfort room. Staffs are very friendly, helpful and very warm welcome for children also.
The hotel has a warm but modern decor. The room was extremely clean and well appointed with a large bathroom. Our view facing Bloor Street was great as it overlooked the Royal Ontario Museum and Royal Conservatory of Music with the CN Tower in the background. Best of all, the staff were polite and very helpful, especially the Valets when we had a flat tire on our rental car. We got the vouchers for breakfast and could have shared one as the amount of food was too much but delicious. A great stay that we would recommend highly.
This hotel met and exceeded expectations. It was comfortable, friendly staff, and great amenities.
I had a great time. The hotel was perfect location. Not too close to chaos but not too far that we walked. Very lgbt friendly.
The location was great. It was right across the street from the ROM and walking distance to Yorkville shops and restaurants. There were no signs for parking but we found it in one trip around the block. The concierge service was extremely helpful. The room was fine and clean. the view of the roof left something to be desired. All in all it was a good value.
Enjoyed the hotel. Bloor St has great shopping; good cuisine.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Very nice rooms, warm, home-like feel. Right across the street from the ROM and close to shopping.
Room was clean and big. Staff was there to answer questions and help every step of the way
Clean, friendly staff. Front desk needs more employees.
Loved the experience, staff was incredibly professional and helpful especially James. He recommended an amazing restaurant just around the corner.
great service from the staff. comfortable bed ,new t. v. we were able to walk around and do some sightseeeing.
Completely disappointed! I couldn't even complete the review form because my appropriate description would not pass the "filter". Strange, since I could barely understand the accent of those trying to help me. But the hotel was the worst experience due to complete lack of responsiveness. They took the money for the complete stay, but would not discuss refund with me directly, nor would they even provide an itemized bill for expense purposes. Seriously disappointing.
As a first time visitor, my friend, who has lived there for many years recommened the Yorkville area and specifically this hotel. It's around the corner from many more expensive 5 star hotels, but provides the same level of service and luxury. The bedding was luxurious, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were immaculate and the service was excellent. I'm a seasoned traveler with sophisticated tastes and I'd highly recommend this hotel.
The staff is courteous and polite. The rooms are updated and clean. The bathrooms vary in size, but are always clean and well stocked. Problems, should they occur, are addressed in a timely and courteous manner. It is my "go to " hotel in Toronto.
I took a walking tour of the area. The area I stayed in is a very young and vibrant area. The University of Toronto is in the area with a beautiful campus.
Super hotel. Right beside a major subway station and across from the Royal Ontario Museum. Great Asian areas and restaurants down the street to the West, vibrant Yonge street to the East, upscale shopping in Yorkville to the North and Queen's Park to the South. It actually was the perfect location and we've been to T.O numerous times. Hotel staff, especially the concierge and doormen were more than eager to assist with directions and recommendations for dining and entertainment and directions. Pool was a tad bit small but for the amount of people that used it, it was perfectly fine.
We are an older couple who went to Toronto for a family affair (not at the hotel). We arrived about 2pm, the room wasn't ready and we were offered an upgrade from the Standard room with two beds that was part of our package to a Deluxe room with king-size bed and a sofa and slightly more room for $35 per night extra. We took the upgrade (don't know if it's standard practice to offer the upgrade) and the room was very nice, what you would exppect from a 4 star hotel. Everything was very clean, the staff was friendly, there were families at the hotel but we didn't here any noise in the room, the dining room was very nice if expensive; overall it was a very pleasant experience. The dining room is the only option for eating but there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. We didn't use the pool or exercise room so I can't comment. The biggest asset to me was the location; across the street from the Royal Ontario Museum, half a block from Yorkville shops and boutiques, near the subway to go downtown and to the waterfront. The only drawback was a tendancy to have dim lighting in the room, especially the bathroom. I would recomment this hotel to everyone except business people who might prefer being closer to downtown.
