Comfort Hotel Downtown Toronto

This hotel was good enough that I wanted it to be better.Location excellent. The restaurant area was under renovation all during my stay, so no room service was available, as advertised on the hotel's webpage. Also a messy look. The room was spacious and Ikea-ish style: unfinished wooden cabinets (without handles) and shelves:the Tshelf along the long wall doubles as the work-desk. (The outlets indicate where to park your computer!) The bed was supremely comfortable. The excellent housekeeping starts surprisingly early. There is a sort of "grab and go" breakfast in the lobby from 7 to 9 each morning: coffee, tea, or decaf; small muffins (blueberry or chocolate); apples; and small fruit yogurts (plain would have been nice). I just used to bring them back up to my room. Possible small annoyances: -The "wet area" and dressing-room are on opposite sides of the room's foyer. Some people will like this, others will find it annoying. (When I leave the shower, I like having the sink handy.) -The light switches were panels of five, each governing a different light in the room. It took a day or so to get that straight. -Few of the lights in the room are strong enough to read by. Housekeeping was nice enough to find me a strong reading lamp. -The Internet-based cable TV is wonky, prone to freezing, so that I'd have to unplug the set and plug it back in. -They actually take a $100 deposit (not just an imprint) upon arrival against incidentals. Waiting to see if it's quickly refunded.

I choose this hotel because it was located near a convenient subway stop I did not expect a large and comfortable room. I also like the architecture that was both different and convenient. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. And unusually good experience. I will be back.

We checked into our room and about 5 minutes later the front desk called - I immediately assumed there was a problem - but there was no problem, the front desk just wanted to see if everything was okay with the the room and to see if we needed anything. That impressed me. A great experience all around.

An older hotel that need remodeling. No place to load or unload luggage while checking in. Pay parking available in basement ($24) but only for about 20 cars. Room had unpleasant smell. Would not recommend.

My flight got cancelled so I needed a hotel for one night and I found that this hotel was extremely comfortable and the room was nicer than what I expected. The room was very spacious and clean . The bed was nice and comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish the wifi was stronger.

The hotel is really very average, possibly slightly below average. Although I knew it was a budget hotel, I was surprised at how old and very basic it was. It was pretty clean and the staff were OK, but just don't expect much than a place to sleep...

This is a wonderful place to stay in Toronto, either on business or vacation, it's a near perfect location and value for money. The room was very confortable with clean sheets and towels always.

downtown location, but older building with limited parking

Very close to the Bloor/Yong subway station, shopping, restaurants. Great location. The room was cool, clean and comfortable. Elevator was quick and efficient. Staff was helpful and friendly. Computer is available in lobby.

1st time to Toronto and very fortunate to have lucked out in selection of hotel; very clean, the most comfortable bed/pillows you can imagine, and great location - 1.5 blocks to subway station and 2 blocks from LGBT neighborhhood.

This Comfort Hotel is much like their Inns. Nothing fancy, but clean , comfortable, with an excellent accommodating staff. If you don't need all the extras that a 4 or 5 star hotel offers, don't pass this up. We basically sleep there. The location was perfect for us.

With Starbucks across the street to get oatmeal and coffee, Wish next door as one of the best resturants in Toronto and Magiges for a great brunch, this hotel is in a perfect location. Easy to get to and from University of Toronto, Shopping and other venues are an easy walk.

We were able to walk to almost every place we needed to go to in 'Toronto. When we needed to go a far distance away - taxis were easy to get. There is a top notch restaurant next door "Wish" and a perfect brunch "Maggies" across the street so that was perfect. This is the type of hotel that is affordable and easy to move to and from. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. It is not a fancy and flashy hotel but served us well. We will return.

Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Price is good for the location, making it a fair value.

Not bad for just a place to shower and sleep...Bathroom was extremley small...

Everyone at this hotel were so nice. Clean and in a great area!

It is wonderful to be able to do the following things right outside this hotel: Starbucks on the corner, Wish an excellent place for a wonderful meal, Maggie's across the street for a great breakfast brunch and fresh sushi right next door. Location is what makes this hotel a good match for out trips to Toronto.

We were there for New years and our floor was incredibly noisy from check in to check out. The room was nice, clean and a good size. The lighting was not the best around the mirrors. The bathroom was okay but expected for a Comfort Hotel in downtown Toronto. Overall, I'd recommend it to people without a family.

The hotel is a little dated but if you want to spend time in the city and not in your bedroom, this place is perfect.

hotel was a bit noisy.bathrooms extremely small evenfor small people.
