We stay here frequently and it is consistently clean, comfortable and a good value. It has a good breakfast service and the housekeeping staff is very accommodating. Good place to stay. I recommend it highly.

Have stayed here twice. Both times we have encounteted clean rooms and breakfast area. Motel is well maintained. Staff at check in and check out very friendly. Parking lot was lit at night and many restaurants within a short driving distsnce.

Clean. Comfortable. Dog-friendly (small fee). Reasonable prices. Quiet. Well-located, just off I-70, with lots of services and restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is above average. Recommended.

Bed made up with used sheets, used soap and sm. Shampoo containers in shelf in shower, trash from previous person in bathroom waste basket. Breakfast area: micro wave very dirty, toaster didn't brown bread., Syrup containers (both) so stuck to bottom of drip tray... had to break them loose, carpet on stairway and hallways were very dirty.

Had to arrive late and the staff was helpful with getting us settled in as well as giving us directions to so we could navigate around nearby road construction. The room was very nice for the price. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our new GoTo spot when we travel to Topeka =)

room was awesome. could have been a little cleaner. door was hard to open and close ( needs repair ). the staff was amazing. from check in to check out, very friendly. the housekeeping staff also very helpful and so kind.

Not a bad hotel. Our room needed some updating. State wrestling was present and was noisy in the hallways but very quiet in the room. Pool very small and not the cleanest. Not able to get a discount when checked out of the room early.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and on our way back from Phoenix decided to stay at this hotel again. I did a search of Comfort Suites Topeka on my cell phone and the first site to come up appeared to be the hotel but was actually reservations.com. The reservation was made and upon arrival at the hotel I discovered the actual room rate charged by the hotel including taxes was $97.90 but the actual amount charged to my credit card was $141.30 by reservations.com. I was horrified to discover that this hotel would participate is this deception. So make sure you are dealing with Choice Hotels and not this third party site.

I would absolutely not recommend this property. My family stayed here and the first floor had a very strong odor or urine and mildew (almost as if it were a nursing home). I understand they are pet friendly which may be the cause of the odor, but that is unacceptable. My allergies were practically unbearable because of it. Most hotels utilize Ozone machines to scrub smells out of the air—I would suggest they implement the use of that into their daily housekeeping practices. The hotel from the exterior appeared new and modern, but the interior has many aspects that are dated and worn. Many maintenance issues and lack of upkeep were apparent: peeling & stained wallpaper, burnt out lightbulbs, stained carpeting, chipped tiles. Also the light fixtures in the bathrooms were obviously not meant to withstand humidity from the shower as the glaze had literally peeled off. I was not impressed by this hotel in the very least. The only redeeming quality is the free breakfast which was decent despite the server’s obvious confusion and lack of experience. I would suggest avoiding this hotel entirely and staying someplace nicer.

I would consider this hotel to be very mediocre at best. We did notice that they were having troubles with their lighting in the pool area and my kids were left to swim in a very poorly lite pool..... like dusk lighting. When I informed management through their online survey, they very rudely replied that if we had turned on the light switches, the pool lights would have worked fine, insinuating we couldn’t operate a light switch. We in fact had a gentlemen from the front desk come to help us and he himself told us they are not very good and do that sometimes. My thought about this hotel had not lingered very long until their poorly thought out message was sent to me. I would not stay here again. I would also recommend that any families looking for a hotel with a pool look elsewhere. It’s tiny, and after our swim in the dark, I wouldn’t be confident they are too concerned about regulations.
