We were finishing up day 2 of our motorcycle ride home from Sturgis SD to upstate NY and were looking for a place to stay close to the highway that was cheap. This place fit the bill. And I’ll be honest, it was pretty decent for a cheap place!!! The room was pretty decent size for a hotel room and included a small round table and a few chairs, plus a couch, plus an open space outside of the bathroom area. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and it seemed clean. And the guy at the front desk even offered us up the parking area under the canopy for our bikes since it was going to storm overnight. No issues and if I was passing through again, I would stay here again.
It was old and used to be some other hotel, but it was renovated. It had a microwave & fridge. Parking right in front of the door. All rooms on ground level. It was far away from other hotels, stores etc . We were put on the side away from the interstate and it was so quiet I couldn’t sleep—l had to turn on the AC fan. Right in front of our room was a beautiful mowed field that I could walk laps in. Kids could play frisbee or whatever. There was no breakfast, just coffee. Clean room and well maintained. Felt safe. Great value.
Great room, basic but good for a night's stay, the bed was super comfortable and the room spacious. It is close to some restaurants for both breakfast and dinner so it's convenient. I would recommend, (does not have tea or coffee facilities in the room)
As a former Inn with few competitors next door I am hoping ownership can iron out the difficulties that hotel operations experiences from time to time. Hot water is a traveler's need as too working amenities. One thing going well for the establishment, is their friendly smiles to welcome the stay.
The location is right off the highway, but the area is mainly for truckers. There are a couple restaurant attached to gas stations, but that's it. The motel had quick service. The room was clean. There was no breakfast offered which was a disappointment from other ABVI. There is a bar soap but no conditioner in bathroom. I was able to book this through my credit card reward points, which was a plus, but I would not choose to stay here again.
Disappointed with this motel we booked on the fly. To be fair, the room was clean and the beds comfortable, check in was ok and the location was convenient to I-80 and I-280. The exit is really close to I-80, so check the directions early or you may miss the frontage road like we did and have to backtrack. With a number of budget choices close by, we chose this place because breakfast was included and the listing of toiletries often means a nicer bathroom. Breakfast turned out to be one coffee pot in the office and toiletries was a bar of soap. It's not that these are makes or breaks, but not happy with false advertising. There was a small fridge which was almost cold but no freezer and no ice machine. The room air/heat was loud and the bathroom fan deafening. Paid extra $10 for two beds but only 2 small thin towels in the mediocre bathroom. Shower floor was slippery, so we had to use one towel as a bathmat, and the bathroom door didn't close all the way. (This was room #18, in case someone from the establishment is reading.) Wifi was ok, no password. It wasn't a bad place but I am not a fan of undelivered promises and there were cheaper options nearby for the same level of comfort.
The front desk staff was very courteous and responsive and the room was comfortable enough. I asked for a non-smoking room, though, and the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke to the point it was unpleasant using it. Also, none of the bedside lamps worked, one of the outlets had no power, the bathroom door got stuck against the door frame, and there was a hole in the wall behind one of the nightstands. The front desk called to let me know that housekeeping was coming by (something I had never experienced before) and I told them about the problems with the room and that I would like a new one. I received a call back a few minutes later letting me know they had another room available. Once I got into that room, they called back to make sure I was happy with the room. This was above and beyond service. It was clear that they care about their guests. As for the new room, it was much better! The lamps all worked and there were no offensive smells. The bathroom door actually stuck a little worse than the first room and was very difficult to open once I had shut it, but I can live with that. For the price, I was satisfied with the hotel.
I was in the Area For work. Stayed Across the Street For 2 Nights and did NOT LOVE IT. I stayed Here 4 nights and couldn't have been Happier. Clean rooms and Pet Friendly. The staff was very nice and Professional. Would definitely stay there again if i am ever back in the Area. *****
My husband stayed here after having been treated horribly by the owners of The Regency Inn across the road. This place is very clean and the customer service was above and beyond. They run a business like it should be! Kudos to the owner...he was awesome.
Great price. Looks recently spruced up with newer mattress and paint. Clean. A wee bit spartan but efficient and friendly. Microwave and refrigerator are newer. Basic cable with ESPN. WIFI is non secured and open.
