Only few minutes from the east exit of Ikebukuro station. There was not bathtub in our room but it was a large and clean room and the bed was so comfy:)

Room is big and clean. The only thing is non smoking room still smile smoking.

I stayed at the b Ikebukuro once in April. On the basis of my experience, I decided to stay again on another trip to Tokyo in June. Like many rooms in Tokyo, the rooms are small. But the rooms here are clean and very well kept. The breakfast buffet is a real bargain, and the pizzas at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Ikebukuro, while overshadowed by other parts of Tokyo, has some real charm to it. I found this hotel a good place to be based for exploring lots of different parts of Tokyo. Finally, the staff was helpful in many way during my stays. I'd definitely stay here again.

Located only a few hundred feet from the station serviced by the underground metro and the overhead JR East line which has an express train to Narita. All around is an abundance of food choices, convenience stores, and a lot of shopping for clothes, electronics as well as high end brands. Front desk personnel are english-speaking and very helpful. Check-in and check-out was fast and hassle-free. The cleaning maids do a very good job, with amenities refreshed everyday. The toilet and bath is small but comfortable. I'd really like to have their shower and toilet fixtures for my own home. Breakfast buffet is an assortment of continental and asian cuisine, although they offer the same set everyday. The signature italian restaurant served excellent pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, and is fully-stocked with an international selection of wine which they also offer for retail sale. The hotel also has vending machines for drinks and refreshments at convenience store prices. Wifi is fast and free. They also don't charge for printing even if it said otherwise on their website. Hotel is good for business travel and vacationing without children. Cons: TV only shows japanese channels. You would have to get pre-paid cards to be able to watch other programs, even CNN or BBC. Breakfast starts late at 7pm. They couldn't even give it to us packed on our last day when we had to catch the 645am train to Narita.

Nothing special about this place. The location is near subway/train stops; but ikebukuro itself, where the hotel is located, doesn't really have cultural or exciting nightlife stuff. The rooms are not small as capsules, but are pretty small. The rooms were clean. I would recommend to people on a budget, looking for a hotel that is clean, safe, and allows access to other areas of Tokyo. NOTE: I accidently booked the wrong hotel. I thought I was booking "the b roopongi." To my suprise there are like four or five hotesl with the "b" brand.

Well for Tokyo standards, I feel like mid-priced hotels are very small and barely have room to move but the B Ikebukuro had more than enough room and the location was fantastic! The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing too and it was in the Italian restaurant on the second floor!

The hotel staff was friendly although there was a bit of a language barrier however they tried hard to help with any questions. The rooms were nice and comfortable, although a bit small and having 3 people in the room didnt help. The location is very close to Ikebukuro station and the Yamanote JR line which made getting around very very easy.

The b ikebukuro hotel is clean and comfortable, just a short walk from Ikebukuro Station. The 'superior single' room was a little smaller than I expected, but since I was only there to sleep this was not a problem for me. (If you have a large suitcase, or many bags, you may have trouble making room for them.) The free wired internet was very handy, but no wi-fi is available. Breakfast is both Japanese and Western style so everyone should be able to find something they like. There are a lot of restaurants in the immediate area and the Sunshine City/Sunshine 60 complex is just a short walk away. You could easily spend a whole night just walking around and taking in the sights and sounds of the area. The huge department store Seibu is next to the train station and the station itself contains many shops and restaurants. The morning staff spoke decent English, but the night staff was more difficult to communicate with. (I found that writing things down helped quite a lot, just be patient!) All the staff that I dealt with were very polite and helpful. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Hotel location is great, near JR and subway station. They made a mistake assigning the room at check-in but corrected immediately after we called. Modern shower head and nozzles provide good water pressure to massage after a tire day of walking. Free coffee at the lobby was good. Breakfast was decent. We were in our room on the 9th floor when the big earthquake occurred. The hotel staff responded to the emergency adequately. There was drywall dust came down during the quake on many floors. It was amazing how fast the hotel staff cleaned up the earthquake mess, vacuumed and mopped up every floor. We will stay there again next time we visit Tokyo.

next to the JR station. great shower!

Nice place to stay.

Relatively new hotel. Price is very competitive considering Ikebukuro is one of the busiest areas in Tokyo. Rooms are very small; but immaculate. Complementary Internet service, stylish decor and secure.

Great location. Can see the hotel from the station corner. Lots of great shopping and eating places in the vicinity. Spacious room with good amenieties within.

Small rooms but they have all the essentials. Private bath, fridge, good quality TV but only a few channels. Free internet in rooms (No wireless but hotel supplies internet cable).Staff has limited English but they are very friendly and helpful and will do their best to answer your questions. 3-min walk to Ikebukuro station, which connects to all parts of Tokyo. Not just for business. singles and couples, too.
