Hotel is located right over a metro station.the location is excellent you can get to anywhere in Tokyo from here.hotel itself is basic with limited option for breakfast.but no complaints. Great for a person traveling for business.lots of small eateries around from where you can pick up food to eat. Like a few people have mentioned the water speed on the shower is excellent. Rooms are clean and functional. If traveling for business will definitely stay here again.

Great choice for our first trip to Tokyo. Subway station below the hotel allowed easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. Rooms are an adequate size and clean. Good breakfast in the deal and the staff are great and there is a coin op laundry on site. Easy walk to attractions & restaurants.

The one single thing that overwhelms is its location right next to Roppongi Itchume subway station. And while going down to the subway, you can pick up your lunch/dinner because you walk through a series of floors housing several eateries and common needs shops. The hotel itself is simple, provides all you need for a quiet and restful night. Rooms are not very spacious, but OK for a single person. One surprise though was that they don't provide drinking water bottles. A sticker at the wash basin in the bathroom tells you that tap water is drinkable and it is up to you to accept that suggestion. Breakfast is just OK, the seating is along a long table with single high seating chairs lined in a row on each side...No privacy or a cuddled-up grouping while having breakfast. Barring these few things, it is good value for the money spent.

Great location. Helpful staff. Easy access to the subway stations in Tokyo. Rooms are nice and clean. You can walk to lots of places in Roppongi area. We had a great time and I would go back again. THANKS TO THE HOTEL AND THE STAFF. GREAT SERVICE.

Great location! This hotel has a metro/subway right below so it's easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. Also, you're just a short walk away from the lively part of Roppongi with tons of shops and restaurants. Also just a 15min walk from Tokyo Tower. About the hotel: breakfast is included as well as free wifi and a coin operated washer and dryer. There are also vending machines where you can get snacks, clothes, and drinks. The rooms are pretty small and has some unnecessary furniture that would help free up space but overall, the beds were decent. A couple issues we had was with our fridge and our shower certain. The fridge was not getting cold so we had it replaced twice. Even after the second replacement, the fridge was not cooling our drinks and food enough. As for the shower certain, it was too short and made out of some type of cloth so it would get soaked. Because there is no ventilation in the bathroom, the soaked curtain wouldn't dry and it made our room smell musty. Other than those issues, the staff was great. We wouldn't mind staying here again when we get the chance.

I have been staying at this hotel for nearly 10 years on trips to Tokyo and continue to do so for its value and for having all of the basics. It is consistently the least expensive hotel in the area but the rooms a clean, quiet and serviceable. Internet quality is good (and free). If you want a hearty breakfast and luxury mod-cons I would look elsewhere but if you need somewhere to rest your head, throw your bags and have a good shower everything you need is here. On that note, water pressure is insanely good, which is hard to come buy in almost any hotel in the world these days. I wouldn't normally eat breakfast at the hotel every day in any case (plenty of other options nearby) but some basic fair is available, most people cite this as their big negative, so if you are really interested in that, it's probably not for you. Great for business trips or trips where you will be out most of the time anyway and not in your room, but when you are you want to sleep. Rooms are smaller than large name hotels but also your looking at around half the cost or less in some cases. Inner rooms are quieter but have no view. Temperature control works well and is very quiet (again, something most hotels seem to get wrong these days). Vending machines on every floor are handy if you just want a drink or snack and there are plenty of convenience stores near by. Having a fridge to throw your beverages and other things in is great as well. The urn/kettle is also handy if you want to make tea/coffee/cup noodles etc. All of the rooms within a type are basically identical so you are pretty much going to get what it shows on the website. The Roppongi-itchome Metro station is immediately below and the main shopping area in Roppongi is a short work away. At least two other metro stations are also within a 10-15 minute walk. It is pretty easy to get almost anywhere from this location. Access to/from Natrita by Limousine Bus to ANA Intercontinental and a short walk makes getting here very easy as well. Only real negative for me is that the beds are a little firm for my taste but this seems to be somewhat the norm in Japan. Others have reported some rudeness from staff but I have never personally experienced that here at all even though I don't speak a word of Japanese. I recommend it, so long as you understand what it is, very functional and good value, not luxury.

I tried to check in at 12.30pm. I had been all night on an aeroplane. I was told that the room was ready but had to wait until 2.00pm. At 1.30pm I got told a different story that house keeping hadn't finished preparing the room. Even though I was booked in for three nights i was given very rude response. Other Japanese guests whom were checking in at the same time (1.30pm) were allowed to got straight to their room. The unfriendly nature was most disturbing.

If you do not mind a small and cramped room, average service, terrible breakfast (like in a backpackers hostel) but appreciate the ideal location for metro access ( right above the roppongi station ) ; then this could be the right hotel for your stay in Tokio. If however you do appreciate a bit of comfort, decent breakfast and service you should look for another hotel.

For work, I've had a chance to stay at various Villa Fontaine hotels around Tokyo and they have all been consistently good and maintain a good standard. The Roppongi location lives up to the same standard. Front desk people are charming and helpful. They take the time to answer your questions and help you out. The rooms are clean and adequate. Non-smoking. Street noise manageable (stayed at the 4th floor with my room toward the street, and with the windows shut muffled noise from the street can be heard). Breakfast is simple with selection of some western and Japanese fare. They don't have a fitness room in house, but you can avail of the nearby gym for a discounted rate for guests. Didn't have a chance to use it, but for those looking, this could be an option if you're considering Villa Fontaine (check rates with hotel as it may vary). Location is great. Near the subway, a good walk to Diet, and other attractions. Overall, very good experience for business travel and will definitely consider if I'm back in the Roponggi area.

Walking distance to bars / restaurants etc of Roppongi, without being right on top of all the noise. Conveniently located for metro lines to travel to both Eastern and Western sides of the city, but not walking distance from these useful stations if you have a lot of luggage to carry Good breakfast and service from hotel staff As with all Tokyo hotels in this range - small and simple with no frills! Suitable if you just want a base and a bed at a reasonable price
