Good experience Will certainly recommend / visit again
The metro is across the street! Also several mini marts nearby. Staff is great. Rooms are clean. They give you shampoo/ conditioner/ soap / razor/ toothbrush and paste. Mini fridge. Kitchen sink. Microwave! Drawers Mini closet. It's small but we had just enough room.
Room is spacious compares to other hotels in Tokyo. Bathroom is not small either so you can have a shower without knocking over stuff here and there.
Everything is great except the smelly toilet. Still a good choice to stay though. The location of hotel was the best thing. Will consider to stay again.
Great stay, very helpful staff, extremely close to train station
This was a wonderful hotel, as we were foreigners who have never visited Japan before. Tokyo was a good place to start for those who love technology, as it was very modern and wi-fi was good for this hotel. We went for a quick visit, going to 4 towns in 12 days it was an adventure for us because we just started dating and we both love to travel. We definitely will visit again, there is so much to see and to experience the wonderful culture. The prices were a little higher than expected throughout Japan, but if you can find those small local shops they can have some good deals. Don't be afraid to feel like outsiders because most of the locals are very friendly, and Tokyo itself is so diverse that it honestly felt like everyone was different enough that we can fit in. Breakfast is not included, like most hotels in Japan but the price is about average for a hotel in the States.
We had a fabulous stay at Grand Fresa. For easy reading, here it is: Positives: 1. Close to Metro station. Closest metro station is C6 - Akasaka. Once there, take exit number 6. Hotel is on the left side about 50 steps away from the exit. 2. Good location because of closeness of metro. (Though you still have to make few connections to go anywhere it is rather easy once you get the hang of it and comfortable with walking). There is also easy availability of restaurants and convenience stores near this hotel. There is McDonalds nearby for kids and multiple cafe very close to hotel. There is a Starbucks in the basement of the tower next to the hotel. 3. Courteous staff. They will always to willing to help you even with bit of language challenges. We liked the fact they will always be saying pleasantries when come in / out (not that it matters much for most of us but it was kinda fun to hear them say in Japanese all the time we walked by). 4. Great amenities in the room. Coffee maker, comfy bed, great bathroom, fancy toilet, ample toiletries, lights switches next to your bed and shade to make your room become dark even when it is sunny outside (in case you are late sleeper). There is microwave and vending machine in the lobby in case you want to use it. Hotel and rooms are very quiet. 5. Minor point but still count. They used to replenish with two water bottles everyday. Coffee was great too. Negatives: 1. Rooms are small. You can barely put your luggage and walk in the room. Given all the other things, this room was still great value (just watch for your toes and knees). 2. You need to make (sometimes) multiple connections to go anywhere. 3. No view (at least not in our room). Overall it was a great stay. You cannot go wrong with this hotel if you want a clean room, comfy bed and nice shower.
My husband and I stayed here in mid-April 2015. We're a young couple that travels a lot we don't need a fancy hotel, just one that's clean, quiet, and in a great location. This hotel definitely fit the bill. The staff was very helpful and the hotel's location is excellent - the subway station is right across the street. The cafe next door has a nice breakfast, too. Would definitely recommend!
rooms were a little small but clean and in a great location
Value for money, great room comfort.great staff candid, colorful and honest,
Great boutique style hotel for the money. Good location right next to a subway station. Close to shopping and attractions
It's a pretty standard business hotel in Tokyo, with great access to the subway. Staff are friendly enough, and the hotel is kept clean. Looks newer also, which makes it seem a little nicer than other business hotels in Japan.
It started off not so good, but ended up great. We had booked "double bed, upper floor". When we stepped into our room, it was so small my wife and I could not turn around or carry our luggage into the room. It was so small. I asked the front desk for another room. Luckily one was available , not that night but the following night for the remainder of our stay at the Hotel Grank Fresa Akasaka. We had to pay a little more per night, but we ended up with a room on the top floor, much more room to move around and a terrace. It worked out very well. The location in Akasaka was very good. It was close to the subway and many very good restaurants. Around the corner and down the street were many very good soba shops and other choices too. We were pleased, though we did venture out on the excellent subway system to other parts of Tokyo for many excellent meals.
This hotel is located in a very convenient location and rooms have all the necessary amenities but the size is small especially for 2 people.
Boutique feel with modern amenities. We were on the top floor with a double and felt that space was more than adequate. Bathroom height could be an issue if you are >6 feet tall. WiFi. Location within walking distance of several subway lines - the closest being <5 min. 24 hour ATM across the street at 7-11; House-made udon open at 1 am a couple doors down. Perfect start in Tokyo and an excellent value at ~$100 USD. 4-star hotel at 3-star price.
Fantastic, central location - great value. Friendly staff, free wifi. Coin laundry in annex building.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location and cheap too! The only draw back is the hotel room is a bit small; good for 1-2 people but if you're trying to fit an entire family in here, look elsewhere.
Clean and cosy nice hotel next to subway station. Good value for the money.
Hotel is in a very nice, secure area. Accessible to the metro station Akasaka. Convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. Staff very helpful and courteous. Rooms are a bit small but, if you plan to venture out, that won't be an issue. It serves its purpose, rest and clean up. Overall a nice experience!
