Situated on the edge of the Shinjuko Central area, convenient for the interesting night life, with the subway system a reasonable 10 min walk Excellent helpful reception staff 2-31-17, Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, 160-0021, Japan Typical tiny Tokyo rooms.

The first hotel i stayed in Japan, and i liked it so much that I always looked for APA hotels during my trip. Very small room (like most in Japan) but did not feel at all cramped, more like cosy thanks to the good design, and you still had plenty of room to leave your things as it was very well thought out. Amenities were great and felt luxurious, spotless clean, and super comfortable beds.

Stayed here for 8 days with friends. Rooms are very small but completely clean and has everything you need. Very comfy bed! Location was perfect for our group, walking distance to many restaurants, including Robot Restaurant, Golden Gai area and Memory Alley, as well as all the Shinjuku shops, small mini mart across the road was also handy. Easy 10 minute walk to Shinjuku Station. Staff were very friendly, only negative was that we were there when there was a large Typhoon and there was no information provided by the hotel, or staff when asked, as to any procedures to follow, not a huge deal as we made do but I would have thought with a big chain like APA that some information to international guests who aren’t accustomed to these type of weather events would have been helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends or family.

The staff was very helpful. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast in the same building but it has a breakfast service in a hotel near by, which I haven't use so I can't comment. The room although it was very small, it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. What I liked the most it was the location, there are plenty of restaurants and the train station is about 10 min walk.

The hotel location is great. A walking distance to Shinjuku station. There are also few train stations nearby. Thing to take note - there are many APA Hotels within same location. Look for the hotel number (eg. 299, 300, etc) or telephone number (eg. 03-5291-6311). There is a big sign at hotel with these number. You should be able to identity the right hotel that you book. Room is clean and staffs are very friendly.

This hotel was our first stay on a 2 week trip through Asia. While we stayed at some other really nice properties on our trip, this APA hotel stood out as having everything you'd need in such a small space. The nightly rate was amazing at around $50-$70 depending on the day of the week, and we were stoked to be close to all of what Shinjuku has to offer. It was a few minutes walk from each subway station, but for the price I'm not complaining. I emailed the hotel in advance to request two rooms near each other, and they gave us rooms next to each other. Unfortunately, we were at the east end of the building and were woken up by loud construction early the next morning. After a bit of difficulty we were able to move rooms to the west side of the building where we slept much better. I'm not sure how long construction will be going on next door, but I highly recommend asking for a room on the west side of the building. The hotel is pretty new, so everything in the room was fresh and in great working order. Even for a budget hotel they provide you things like a toothbrush & toothpaste in the bathroom as well as tea and coffee. I love Japan!

I am currently staying here. Been here since July and really am impressed. The rooms are compact but it’s probably not much bigger than my regular hotel suite in NYC (Arlo soho) but the price is MUCH better. So as far as complaints on this room being too small - I have none. I have 2 large suitcases and a carry on and a backpack and have enough room for everything. Cleanliness: 100% absolutely clean!! Spotless to be exact. In-Room Amenities: kettle is provided! (The cleanest I have ever experienced even compared to some four seasons/ritz), hair blow dryer, mini fridge, daily water bottles, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, disposable body towels/flannel (which i appreciate), regular hand & body towel (soft & clean), daily new robe (so cute, gives me samurai vibes because of the color and belt), green tea powder & coffee although limited (i’m sure if I ask they will give me more), daily toothbrush & paste (without even having to ask), bath tub is AMAZING for bubble baths (if you are too shy, like myself, to have an onsen experience... you won’t feel left out), slippers for the room and slippers for the bathroom, air purifier (such a bonus!!), one international outlet that is built into the wall (note it is NOT a voltage converter). Area: the area is very safe! has a more local vibe until you walk about two blocks the other way and it’s then Shinjuku that you know and love from the Anthony Bourdain episode of parts unknown. As a female who is solo I feel completely safe and comfortable here. Close to many subway lines (about a 10 minute walk but I am on NY time so it’s like 5 minutes). There is noise on the street bc of sirens at times (which are more muted than the US/Canadian siren noise) but nothing that has affected my sleep. At 9pm u may hear people talking after a fun night out but it’s dead quiet by 11pm. Staff: courteous, polite, and very helpful! Also many people complained about the size of the bed. I am 5’9 and a half and the bed is comfortable to me and I’m sure I would be fine with someone else as well. Also the bathtub/shower is also super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!
