Spend the day in Todos Santos. A nice town to enjoy the unique local crafts. The food at the hotel was good. We sat out on the patio. The service was slow. So sit back and relax and give yourself some time.
Totally loved this place. So full of color, the hacienda style from the hotel lobby is beautiful. The bar is a show piece. Next door they have a mini mercado you can buy house tequila and crafts as well as t-shirts. Plenty of parking space but not for Rvs or towing trailers. Definitely recommend this place and I will be back when I can plan another trip to Baja.
Arguably the birth of the Eagles song, though sounds more legend than reality. A nice place with an extensive gift shop. Hotel has been fixed up but more of an attraction than a destination to lodge in
We loved our quick stop for lunch and refreshments at Hotel California. We were in Todos Santos aspart of a tour from Cabo. The owner was at the front desk and was friendly and welcoming. We stayed for lunch and refreshments at the open air portion of the restaurant. The service was excellent and all waiters were friendly & relaxed- made us feel very welcome. There was live music playing- 2 gentlemen playing guitar and they were fantastic. I loved the gourmet pizza with pears and gorgonzola cheese- in fact it was my favorite meal the entire holiday! The bar staff was great and made a delicious "paloma" cocktail for me! Had opportunity to chat with the owner and she is a gem! We will would love the opportunity to go back and stay a few days at this quaint town!
A very nice little boutique to shop in and a restaurant to dine in. The shops in this neighborhood have unbelievable great products, hand crafted and great prices.... i bought a gorgeous fire opal and silver necklace here. there are lots of handcrafted leather items. wall decorations made of metal and pottery. A great place to go for unique souvenirs
The concert was amazing, Though the security where being rude and pulling people off the stairs that lead to VIP! As a regualer, i had no clue that was VIP. no sign no nothing just a rude “where you going”
The short trip from Los Cabos to Todo Santos is scenic and easy. Once in Todo Santos, park and walk around. The majority of the sites are within a few square blocks and it is safe to walk alone. The Hotel California is the main attraction. Next door is the church..."the mission bells." Hotel California has it's own restaurant or you can go across the street and sit outside of the Tequila Sunrise Restaurant and Bar. If you have the time, meander down to the ocean. Worth the day trip and you can always spend the night...or week! Enjoy!
My husband and I wanted to check out the original hotel California. We made a day trip and had some fun. Food was average and the drinks were great. I probably won't go back but I think everyone should go once.
We were there late as part of a half-day tour from Cabo San Lucas and, aside from us, the place was virtually empty. I always thought late was lively in Mexico but not here. They were closing down the gift shop as we ate. It is a beautiful spot and the parts that I saw were well restored and colourful. Gorgeous artwork. I wanted to spend more time exploring. The service was pleasant and the food was fine. Nothing remarkable or terrible. Mostly I feel like we didn't really see it. If you are going, I think lunch may be better and give yourself time to look around.
Worth the drive from Cabo San Lucas, about 30 miles north. Great little town with charm, had lunch here, good menu and a must see. They have a clay artist who will make statues or about anything you request. But I will warn you, once you get here you cannot get that song out of your mind. Great break from the beach in Cabo for one day, we hired a driver from our hotel and he was great.
