Beautiful room, fantastic views, friendly staff, good food. Location is very convenient to Roma Plaza and casino. The room was extremely comfortable and the view from our patio balcony was beautiful. The front desk staff was very welcoming and had very helpful suggestions for lunch locations nearby.
After a long working day it was brilliant to enter at Hotel Campione and enjoy the friendly stuff and the clean and well equipped room. Furthermore the hotel is close to ITA border and close located to the lake. The area is very beautiful and invited for hiking. Keep on Campione Team!
The hotel campione has a fantastic view over the lake, it is worth it to take an upper floor with balcony. Also the upper rooms seem more modern and bright. From the hotel it is a 10-15 mins walk to the casino, which is also convenient, and half of the walk is alongside the lake.
They gave us upgraded room for free with beautiful view on Lugano lake. Very friendly staff. Nice and quiet place for relaxing. Very good price for adorable room. Parking is bit limited. Very nice place!
Arrived exhausted after a long journey that included a puncture on the motorway. Received an upgraded room and welcome drink. Comfortable bed and pristine bathroom so ideal for an unexpected overnight stop before continuing journey.
Nice small hotel. Very comfortable, and staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Amazing views from the terrace and pool area, delightful small swimming pool. The food in the restaurant was not great, but with that view is worth it. They have a Special Family Offer, with tickets for several local attractions, including a pleasant motor boat tour on the Lugano Lake - "Dad as captain". My family would love to stay there again.
The receptionist was very friendly and upgraded our room for free. Room was big with one double bed and a third bed with view on the lake. Equipment was simple but good. Negative point is the smell coming from the water/shower evacuation which needs to be solved. For those who like to go to the casino it is a few steps away ;-) Our target was the Musical on Lugano lake 'Titanic' which was amating, perhaps the best we have seen yet in Switzerland.
Firstly, I love the Lake Lugano region having spent a lot of time here as a child in an apartment very close to the Hotel Campione. This trip was to bring my 85yo father back to the places he loved having not been there for 10 years or so. The Hotel Campione was ideal for our two night stay, we rented to the two bedroom suite rather than two single rooms and benefited from a lovely balcony with the amazing view across the lake to Lugano. The welcome at the hotel was very warm and the staff spoke English well. Parking is a bit limited unless you are willing to pay extra for undercover parking, my father has limited mobility so this may have been an issue if the hotel had been busier. The suite is on the second floor, but with lift access. The room itself was lovely, a little bit old fashioned rather than dated, but then I think my father appreciated that. The suite had a double room and a twin, plus two bathrooms, one with shower and one with a bath. Whilst not set up as an accessible room, the my father was able to cope fine with the shower etc. However, it may be less suited for a wheel chair user (my father uses crutches). There is a balcony with a table and chairs, too chilly to eat out side in early May, but with fantastic views and the evening sunshine before it disappears behind Monte San Salvatore We did not eat in the hotel (there are excellent restaurants to choose from in either Bissone or Campione d'Italia). As we had a dining table in the lounge, breakfast was brought to us in the room (extra charge) and was a lovely selection of bread, cheese ham etc, the lady bringing the breakfast offered to bring anything else we may need and it seemed no request would have been to much trouble. We did have an issue with the television throughout our stay, the staff finally got it working at the end of our stay, which was a shame because my father does wake early and likes to watch the news first thing. In summary, a lovely place to stay and generally good value for the area.
An acceptable option for who is looking for an affordable room price, hote is 3 stars, price is acceptable but high value of money in high seasons. Make sure you inform them to turn he AC on to cool the rooms half an hour before you check in as was quit hot and make sure to park outside as they will charge you 15 euro inside the garage
Just off the A2 motorway and easily found. The hotel is tastefully decorated and furnished (very nice wooden floors in the room.) Reception, corridors, dining areas and our room were immaculate. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also very obliging. Fantastic views of the lake. Despite being not far from the A2 motorway it's a very quiet area; we could hear the birds singing while we sat in our room with the window open. Great shower and bathroom - all worked well. Very nice terraced area and swimming pool. Enjoyed the breakfast of cereals, yogurts, hams and cheeses, salmon and charcuterie, bread and croissant, and a delicious apricot flan. Highly recommended. Would we stay again ...? Definitely!
