Upon booking 100 km east of the hotel, front desk book us and then upgraded us when we arrived in the early evening. We never had that before; it was certainly impressive including the room we got. The pool was shut down due to an emergency; the hot tub sure worked good; nice & hot. Food served at the restaurant was very good; front desk really listened to our comments on how we felt & were treated; there is a parking lot where allot of diesel trucks are overnight; startup in the morning is a disaster.
Gross, small pool, super old. Smells like wet cigarettes. I don’t write reviews but this was necessary. 10 minutes after being in the room I wanted to leave. Would rather pay an extra 30$ for a clean new room. I can see the mattress and box spring.
Worst service ever for a hotel. not even worth a star in my view! Internet didn't even work 98% of the time. place is very much in need of a huge makeover including in it's services! Don't bother coming here!
We booked the hotel without seeing it only to arrive to find the parking lot full of holes and the building looking old and discoloured. With taxes the king room was almost $200 so we expected something nice and this place did not look that good. My husband went in to see about the room and expressed his concern.. We got an upgrade to the Royal Residence Suite. It was amazing! Beautifully furnished and comfortable.
The room was a good size and the location was also fine but there were a few issues that took away from my stay. The view from my window was the rooftop with a close up of a satellite dish. There was hair in the soap dish in the shower and a coffee pad left in the coffee maker. For the price I would have expected a far cleaner room than that.
This hotel is a little dated but is well priced and conveniently located. The airport is minutes away along with food and Tim Hortons only minutes away. You can order in from any where that delivers the rooms are clean the staff is friendly and will do there best to help you. Great price and great location.
The whole object needs a thorough restoring. Electric installations are loose, the halls are dirty there a lot of minor damages like window locks. The breakfast was tasty and a waitress ultimately kind. Wifi range was unstable. But surprisingly the airplanes from the nearby airport were not so disturbing.
I booked a room thru CCI Hotel Recounter for July 4 at a cost of $95.15 US, coming to $130.10 Can. When checking out on the 5th I booked for my return July 26th at 1.07am I got to the hotel around 1.40am and was gone by 10.am. For that night I was charged $180.00. I could not believe the cost difference. I spent 30 years in the hotel field and I don't believe any place in thunder Bay is worth that kind of money. While in Prince George, BC on vacation we had 2 rooms ( 1-2 queen beds, 1- a king bed & full kitchen ) which I was charged $170.00 total.
We stayed here for 4 nights while our motorcycle was getting repaired at Thunder Bay Harley Davidson. They have a Biker Special with hotel and we were very happy with the choice. Nice, clean, large rooms and FREE hot, made to order breakfast! The cost per night using the BIKER special was $99.00/night but the regular rate started at $175! They even have special covered motorcycle parking and everything needed to clean your bike before you head out. We would recommend this hotel especially to the traveling biker.
On July 22nd the Airlane catered our daughters wedding here at our home. With the help of our outdoor kitchen they produced the most amazing appetizers before the dinner which I can only say were so good that everyone was going back for seconds and thirds...If you have not tried their Onion tartlets you are missing out on one of the greatest creations that I have ever eaten. After that they started on dinner which was quite an extensive menu but they pulled that off with out a hitch. Dinner was truly unbelievable and everyonet was blown away with the amount of food cooked and cooked to perfection by the way, the professionalism and attention to detail left our guests in awe. I would like to give HUGE thanks to Ex. Chef Don, Sous Chefs Chris and Randy, servers Diane, Patsy, Taylor and Alex, Bartender Tamara and a special thanks to Food Beverage Manager Kyle for making this day a truly memorable one. The job that you did was above and beyond and made our daughters wedding dinner a feast to remember by all. Secondly, thank you so much for the day after brunch which was again truly amazing, the food was perfect, hot and delicious as my grandson Jace said, all the things that he loved and dove into breakfast with a smile, great job thank you so much. I would also like to thank Kathy Vanesky, Catering Manager, for all of your help and ideas you were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make this day perfect. I recommend the Airlane to anyone awesome service, thank you thank you
