Green Cove by Vivanta is a great place to spend some quality time with the family. The restaurants are good and the service of the staff is exemplary. They make all the effort to make your stay memorable. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the beachside walk near the Bait restaurant - will visit again soon!

Amazing place. Nicely designed rooms have different theme. Kind of a jungle resort. Check in and check out experience was good. Very nice pool to enjoy. View of Arabian Sea from pool is breathtaking. Food served during lunch and dinner was excellent. Price is little on higher side. Spa was also good. You can enjoy a nice and relaxing massage after a day full of adventure at nearby places.

We (my family of 4) visited this place in April with a 5yr old and a 3 month old. It was the most relaxing stay possible. we enjoyed their delicious appams and stew. There was a kathakali (Kerala folk dance form) performance one night which my daughter and i thoroughly enjoyed. We liked their spa services too and me and my husband both took their full body massage (i forget which one now). They also have backwaters (a miniature version) in their property which one can go for a boat ride in. It was a pleasant boat ride but with some mosquitoes while in the backwaters.

The hotel rooms are like vintage individual homes/villas . Very nice greenery. Excellent staff to receive. The hotel staff welcomed us with drink of fresh coconut water. The rooms have all kinds of amenities. I had pure Kerala Food ( Local Traditional Food ) which was excellent again (I am a Pure Vegetarian, I don;t know about Non Veg Food). They have Private beach ( unfortunately I could not visit as during my stay it was high tide with restricted entry. The hotel staff will take you around the hotel in battery operated cars ( Baggi they call it there) Mr Yugender helped me a lot during my stay. The hotel is bit costly, but worth staying there if you are planning .

After a hectic fortnight in central Kerala (mainly on work), my wife and I decided to unwind at this exotic Taj retreat at Kovalam for three nights before returning to the UK. It was an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we felt relaxed and extremely comfortable. Each tropical chalet hut is beautifully and tastefully furnished, and the huts are scattered over a fairly large parcel of land on a small hill. There are motorised buggies to take you around the property, if you do not feel energetic enough to walk! The views of the palm-fringed tropical gardens are exquisite, looking out on to the Indian Ocean in the distance. A private beach is available for those who want a beach experience. The restaurants serve the most amazing choices of food, especially for breakfast. At lunchtime, you must ask for a table at The Bait, which is a beautiful sea-food restaurant away from the main hotel, by the seaside - a buggy will transport you there and back. The Spa at this resort is another delight. Whether you wish to work out at the gym, join a yoga session, or be pampered with a whole menu of massages, manicures, pedicures, hair dressing, etc., there is something for everyone to experience here. Special mention must be made of the staff. Every member of staff was courteous, attentive and helpful at all times. This is a hotel we shall remember with great pleasure and nostalgia for a long time to come.

Taken as a 3 day extension to a Kerala tour my wife and I stayed here at the end of Oct 2017. A warm welcome and tour by the duty manager of this smallish and immaculate hotel with excellent facilities. The hotel is set back from the beach and separated by a small lagoon. A 10 minute walk to the beachfront and the hotels seafood restaurant. Rooms were of a very high standard and well appointed and looked after. A wide variety of food choices for all meals in the main restaurant with two specialist restaurants in addition which given the quality of the food were not overly expensive. A lovely horizon pool and very attentive yet discreet staff who looked after us well and proved to be a mine of useful local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble for them - thank you especially to Naresh, Chinky and Sareath. transport around the hotel and its grounds was easily arranged using their electric golf carts.

Had a good relaxing stay, enjoyed the pool here, although it din't have a beach access, good food, love the coffee shop and curries too. I personally liked the Leela property far more and would recommend that any day.

we stayed with family for three nights , every thing was fantastic ranging from smooth check in to perfect accommodation of sea view rooms , and great services the front desk manager especially Mr Yughander who was very courteous and helpful., if you are a food lover, than taj offers a variety of cousins to give your taste buds a nice treat , there is jasmine Bay restaurant , if you are into multi cuisine delicacies, there is also the curies for north indian food lovers, however if you want the best of the best than look no further than the bait which offers arguably the best pizzas in the area probably the bestMr. Krishna in the bait will enhance your experience further up. All in all this property of Taj is one place I highly recommend if you are looking to spend a memorable vacation in Kerela

I was staying nearby in another Taj property. Unfortunately, i wasn't happy in my original hotel. The windows were sealed and i find air conditioning ( especially after 12 hour flights), unpleasant. By chance i decided i would take a car and visit Taj - Green Cove to eat. On arrival i felt that i had found a serene and clean location. Dinner was perfect on an open air veranda over looking an infinity pool and lush vegetation. The staff were charming. I had the pleasure of being served by Upendra who looked after me perfectly. I was so enchanted by the experience that i went to check out the rooms. They were perfect no carpets and windows that opened. I decided to move hotels immediately and was so glad i did. Upendra continued to make me feel very welcome during my stay as did the rest of the staff. Top Notch. One minor criticism - while marketing itself as a spa whenever i asked for any treatment - the person in question seemed to be on holiday and no alternatives were provided. However none of this detracted from this excellent property and visit.

Frankly I wasn't very impressed and awestruck with this property the moment I landed here, perhaps it was an inherent bias I had after staying at a nearby property. But all that quickly faded away when I understood that one can't judge a hotel purely on the "seaviews". The Balinese style thatched roof cottages, the chirping of the birds and the verdant tranquil surroundings puts you so much at ease, you tend to drift away and maybe lose touch with reality. This resort is a two part property with the seafood restobar aptly named "Bait" bang on the seafront. The rest of the hotel is tucked away on a hillside. They have three restaurants - Jasmine Bay, Curries and Bait. Mind you this resort only serves ala carte for lunch at all the restaurants with only the Jasmine Bay offering b'fast and dinner buffets. The food is top class! Our favourite however was Bait - brilliant stuff!! Every dish we tried was delicious. The views were breathtaking and they had an excellent drinks menu! I would like to mention and commend a few staff members who made our trip extra special - Aniang(hope I haven't spelt it wrong) at the reception, Chinky, Naresh and Mani at the Jasmine Bay(thanks so much for the going away cake!) who took care of all our needs and Anil at Bait who offered his suggestions with the menu for what was a great lunch. But all in all everybody was kind and helpful especially the guys who drove us around in the buggies. The pool was very clean and adequately clorinated. So to sum up we had a wonderful time and look forward to holidaying here again!!
