We enjoyed a three night stay at the end of a quite hectic shedule in the North. We had a superior charm garden view room wth balcony. The room was lovely, well equipped and tastefully dressed. The bathroom was good with a seperate shower enclosure. We ate in the hotel each night as we really did not want to go dashing off anywhere, we wanted to relax. The hotel food was excellent, three different restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was amazing, everything was available and some foods cooked to order. All of the staff were freindly and charming, we had a chat with Vankatesh in the restaurant on our last night, he was lovely too. Service was very good and everywhere spotlessly clean. Did not use the spa but it looked very nice indeed. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel,.. lovely Infinity pool. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was able to arrange a packed takeaway breakfast for our early morning (4a.m!) trip to the southern tip of India. Room was spacious and clean with a nice walk in shower. Good Air Conditioning and good lighting.

Mr. Abbas from the sales team was very co-operative and always available to assist us at a moments notice. We highly recommend their seaside restaurant Bait. The plunge pool suite has a brilliant view of the sea and very well maintained.

Excellent property Nice rooms and lobby. Very welcoming staff Resort in 15 acres Having personal beach front Complimentary tea and snacks And boat ride Excellent breakfast Value for money definitely visit again and stay with them Also recommend to my family and friends

The hotel is peaceful and very well kept. The room we got had a nice small terrasse that made the time we spent in the room pleasant. Breakfast was fine with a variety of choices and excellent service. The only reason that we don't attribute the 5th star is the fact that the piano states "orpheline" during our 4 nights stay... Would expect from such a resort hotel to better "treat the piano"

Stayed here with my wife 26/2 to 4/3 in a garden view room, after touring the northern sights. Staff very helpful and friendly, Nothing too much trouble - from sorting out a lounger for you at the pool in the morning through to fixing a hairdryer. Location is up the hill slightly so a great view, no worries about climbing in the heat because there are electric buggies always available, also to get you to or from the lagoon and the Bait restaurant on the beach. Or rather on the rocks as there is actually no beach that you can use as such within the resort. On drinks, there is a bar with A/C which offers 25% off all day until 7.00pm. Effectively this pays the tax! On food there is the buffet which looked good but we did A La Carte, and even though I think we have a healthy appetite we struggled to eat all of the dishes they brought. There is also a separate curry restaurant with A/C, very cosy and intimate, which was brilliant for food and service. If you fancy a change of scenery and food then take a taxi or tuck tuck to 'Lighthouse Beach' which is 10 minutes and costs IR200 each way. There is a beach with sun beds and shades to rent, or if you just want to go in the evening there are restaurants all along the front, and a few shops for those who need them. Not as tidy and pristine as being in the resort, but good enough for lots of residents at the Taj, as we discovered, A lot of the residents at the Taj had been before, so I think that says it all - and no question we will also go there again. Highly recommended.

We found ourselves near the airport sooner than we had planned and needed a nice hotel. We booked into the Green Cove for two nights and it was just excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food just stunning and choice of different restaurants could not have been better. Just wish we could have stayed longer. From the moment we checked-in to the time we had to say goodbye it was just fantastic and we will be going back.

Beautifully situated on the hillside overlooking a lagoon/backwater and beyond it, the sea. Lovely infinity pool with the same view as above. We had a “garden room” which was mostly private with a nice patio area. Well appointed and very comfortable. Very nice en suite with bath and separate shower and cupboard/dressing area. The breakfasts in Jasmine were excellent with a large variety of Indian and Western and the service was very attentive and friendly. We especially mention Chinky who looked after us very well, as did all of her colleagues. We had dinner one night in Curries which was superb. Reception staff were great and especially courteous. Hotel is an easy and fun 10 minute tuk tuk ride to the lovely beaches. Cost around £1.50 each way! So why not a five star rating? A few things. Firstly we had a very average meal at Bait, the seafood speciality restaurant. Food was definitely missing the wow of most of our other Kerala meals. We ordered mains only and water. We got our water promptly and then no one came near our table for around 30-40 minutes, neither to top up our glasses nor to offer is a second bottle (we finished the first in1 0 minutes). Presentation on the plate was poor - the food looked like it had just been dropped on. Staff were generally invisible most of the time. Also no friendly goodbye at the end. Secondly on our last morning our room keycard didn’t work twice despite having been checked. Turned out the battery in the door mechanism was faulty. Cost me a lost half hour in hanging around and in 2 trips to reception which was a bit of an uphill/downhill walk. Thirdly our flight out was brought forward by 3 hours. Our agent apparently told the hotel the night before but they claimed they could not reach us. This despite us having been in the hotel for pre-dinner drinks, dinner and breakfast. We found out less than 3 hours before the new flight time while in the pool. The hotel could have popped a message under our door and also had our email addresses and my mobile number so not sure what happened there. Still to be resolved as I write. Would we come back to the Taj Green Cove? Despite the above relatively low level issues, most definitely yes!

Just amazing place to stay.. wonderful staff... be it welcoming you, checkin process or room service... they are just amazing people.... always their to assist you.. special thanks to Mr. Mathew, the GM of Taj Kovalam a great person, and I think the good manager like him are the reason behind such a wonderful staff. On property side, being I am a Taj epicure member so we were upgraded to Deluxe suite which had everything which you can expect to be available to made your stay comfortable. Be it hand written greeting card by house keeping or greeting at reception / restaurants, it was just great to meet such a smiling people everywhere. I wish this behavior become contagious and spread all across India. Kudos to Fajella, Anand, Bharat, Fadiya and many others who made our stay so pleasant. A must stay on my next stay and surely recommended to my friends

We weren't at all happy initially with our rooms they were very small and not what we were expecting. We were spending our last 5 nights here after a busy 3 weeks travelling around southern India. There were 4 people in our group. We believe in trying to sort any issues we have with the hotel which was what we did. Initially we didn't really get satisfaction from the sales manager who was dismissive and unhelpful and didn't listen to what we were saying at all. However Krishna at the reception was very helpful and one of our party was able to speak with the General manager the next morning. We were moved to another room the first afternoon and our friends the next day which we were all happy with. It was Valentines and also our 37th anniversary the staff did an incredible job of decorating our room for us and we had an absolutely fabulous meal at Bait restaurant totally stunning. Taj really did all they could to rectify our poor start and we did appreciate it. They very kindly moved us for the last two nights to the presidential suite which was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed our stay very much and had great dinners at the Indian restaurant and Bait also a couple of lunches at Bait and very many thanks to Krishna for looking after us so well at Bait! The resort is in a stunning location where you can watch the boats out at sea, Breakfast was fine near the pool. Thanks to chinky for looking after us. Gardens are stunning here and we all had treatments which we enjoyed at the spa. So after a bumpy start thank you to all the staff particularly the two Krishnas! And also to Mr Thomas the GM for resolving our Issues.
