The Hotel is as central as can be, within east walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants, museums, and historical buildings - the parliament and Royal palace inter alia. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped with basic necessities plus tea and coffee making facilities.. The bedrooms and ensuite are a decent size, not cramped at all - at least not the two we tried. The radiators, thankfully, respond to being turned off. Not in the shower/bathroom however which seem to be permanently tropical. They are corporate, as is the hotel. Don't go to the Park if you want quirky individual accommodation with personal touches. The bedrooms which overlook the street are best avoided, especially on Friday/Saturday night as noise reverberates up the narrow street. The breakfasts are really very nice with a wide choice of breads, fruit, ham, cheese, bacon, eggs etc. All is self service, including hot drinks. The breakfast room is airy and comfortable. The public rooms are spacious with nice leather sofas to relax in. There is also a bar and meals are served in the evening from a limited menu. The staff are pleasant and efficient.
ParkHotel was my base in the Hague for two nights, it was easy for daily walks to the central locations and for evening meals and some shopping. It's clean and neat with very helpful front-desk staff. I stayed in rainy period - umbrellas were available and plentiful. My room although not very big, had a balcony with two cheers which maybe a good additional space for a-fresco wine, beer or coffee... The bathroom - very nice, marble-clad, substantial size - all clean and user-friendly. Very nice lounge area with soft seats and work table if you want to spend some time on work and away from your room. The connectivity was fine for the room and the lobby/lounge. Breakfast room - nice and spacious with great atmosphere for Christmas (obviously relevant for my dates of stay) and more importantly nice selection of food including cold and hot meals. Front-door comes to pedestrian street (open for taxis and cycling). my room on the third floor was very quiet with nice view on the roofs of the Hague; well, unless you call clock tower chimes or church bells disturbing, to me it was an extra bonus creating the right atmosphere. There are wonderful walks to the Dutch Parliament, to Mauritishuis - great gallery with Dutch paintings including Rembrandt and Vermeer with his Girl with a Pearl Earring.... They are within 10- 20 min walk depending on the pace and frequency of stops to take pictures. The hotel is within 10-15 min walk to the Passage - the upmarket shopping and foody arcade, about 15 min from the more mainstream popular shopping area with Bijenhof and other mid and lower end brands. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within 10-15 min walks. I feel like i did not stay enough to give a more detailed review, but I'd aim to be back and will add. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Den Haag - ParkHotel!
Beautiful rooms with huge beds and lovely bathrooms, very friendly staff who all speak excellent English and are always very informative and helpful. A really good choice of food at breakfast in the lovely dining-room overlooking the palace gardens. The hotel is in the centre of this wonderful city, close to shops and restaurants. We have been coming here for many years now and always enjoy our stay, we highly recommend it.
This was our first visit to The Hague and we were delighted with our choice of hotel. The staff at the Parkhotel were friendly and efficient and the décor warm and welcoming. The hotel is in an excellent location in an interesting street in the old part of town overlooking the Palace Gardens. Our room was spacious, well furnished and quiet. We'll certainly return to Parkhotel den Haag on our next trip to The Hague.
We were in The Hague for a conference and found this hotel locate near our conference venue. It proved to be a great location, near many restaurants and shops in the older part of the city The hotel itself, while unassuming on the exterior, is elegant and welcoming on the inside. the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They offer a buffet-style breakfast that is one of the best we have had in Europe--a very nice selection of tasty foods and an ultra-modern coffee machine dispensing a wide array of coffees that are surprisingly good. We warmly recommend Parkhotel Den Haag and would consider staying here again.
Den Haag was great! Park Hotel is nice enough, but I wouldn't be rushing back. Staff very friendly, but a good bed goes a long way for me. It felt like I was lying on a very soft sponge that wasn't very supportive.
We stayed here for 5 nights from 21st - 27th October. The staff were all so helpful & pleasant & the reception staff were extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the city. Their English was also perfect. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety catering for all diets & tastes. Our room was at the back & was very quiet, well maintained & equipped. The location was very good - so central. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
This hotel was chosen by my friends and I did not really even looked it beforehand, so when we arrived, tired and with two very noisy and annoyed cats I was very amazed by the hotel. Service was superb during our whole stay, all staff were very helpful and smiling and they assisted us in every way. They even managed to get a space from the garage just two days before our stay. Yes, the garage is not free, but parking around Den Haag is very expensive so I'd say it was very reasonably priced and super convenient! The location of the hotel is very very good, so if you are not travelling outside Den Haag, then you will definitely not need even a car! One tiny minus was the cleaning, because we had cats we requested our rooms to be cleaned only during weekend (when we and the cats were away in a catshow) and our rooms were cleaned only on Sunday and even then the cleaning was poorly executed. But since we were leaving on next day that didn't bother me, and I must say when we arrived the room was absolutely spotless. Breakfast was tasty and you can spot parrots in the royal garden behind the windows!
This is my second stay at the Parkhotel Den Haag. It is a wonderful gem in the heart of the old town, close to everything you want as a tourist, yet also very much part of the local life and neighbourhood. Shops, museums, royalty, tram transport, wonderful restaurants, sights, history, and a whole lot of charm are everywhere around you. Just walking around the cobblestone streets was a joy. The Parkhotel has simple, but stylish rooms and the breakfast is great. Best of all are the staff -- they are uniformly pleasant and extremely helpful. We had a number of unique requests due to some travel logistics and and the staff pulled through for us every time. We will keep returning! Thank you Parkhotel. kwg
First time in Amsterdam and I was unlucky enough to get sick and ended up in hospital. As a result I missed some flights and the staff there went above and beyond to help me get new flights and were friendly and helpful making my stay there more memorable. Hamda and Rohaing could see how distressed I was and they should be commended on their service and hospitality. The hotel itself was clean and could not be faulted our room was as described and good size, clean and well serviced. Facilities were modern. I would recommend this hotel again and will definitely stay there again. Thank you for making a bad experience regarding my health a more pleasant experience.
