Well, this one is hard.. On one hand, the staff is super. Everyone is so nice and helpful. We got everything we needed at the most professional and polite way. So, the hotel manager should be satisfied...(not necessarily from our experience of course, but generally speaking...) However, on the other hand. The hotel looks old and not updated. Like the hotels in the 80's.... also, I think the hotel structure is problematic...we got a room in the outside ring, but I can only imagine how troubling it is, if you het a room at the first floor in the inner ring, and hear every little noise in the dining area and/or the kids play room. Try it, and let us know...
The hotel is close to kukenhof (not sure how to spell it) to see all the tulips and flowers and maybe 20 min from downtown Amsterdam. The hotel itself is great with pool and kids play area. The restaurant was good and it was a buffet style which is great for us so my 2 year old can get food in front of him quick so he doesn't get antsy. I definitely recommend this hotel for families traveling to check out Amsterdam and the flowers at kukenhof
The hotel is centrally located for most of the tourist attractions in Holland and that's the best point about it. Ask for an outside room. The ones inside the hotel are very noisy because the atrium amplifies screaming kids and noisy guests in the restaurant. Internet is also intermittent and not reliable so no good for business people. Breakfast had a good selection but the cooked foods were luke warm so I ended up having cold cuts which were meant to be eaten cold.
The hotel is located around 30 minute walk from the train station and you really need to have google maps to guide you through. You can follow the cycling path which leads to the train station but might not be a kind thing to do considering it is only meant for bicycles. The rooms are comfortable with good WiFi connectivity and comfy beds. The rooms at the back of the hotel are like the ones they show in the movies where you can park the car right in front of your room door. There is a bus stop next to the hotel but the sidewalks end abruptly. Dinner buffet is nothing exciting and focuses on quantity rather than quality. On the other hand breakfast buffet is vast and tasty. It is served until 11.00 AM and nobody will push you to vacate the table. Really good for families with kids as there is guaranteed entertainment for them. If you have your own car this is an ideal location and good value for money but there is absolutely nothing next to the hotel if you don;t take their breakfast buffet offer.
We were on a tour and this hotel was part of the tour. We enjoyed this hotel on all levels. Very modern and clean, great helpful staff. The restaurant was awesome, located in a beautiful courtyard settings. The rooms were clean and modern and they offered free wi-fi. We would highly recommend this hotel without hesitation!
This is a big and rather expensive place, given that its situated in the middle of nowhere. Frankly, I hated it. Surprised that my distinguished travel agent - Carlson Wagonlit would recommend it. I would recommend staying in the city.
Hotel is dated and a little strange with its layout having large internal and external windows in all rooms. The leisure facilities are good as is the food. Staff in the bar are very good and friendly.
This hotel was a great stop off for us, it has great facilities for young families. The pool is great, the play area too and the dining is also suited to kids. The room was small but had everything we needed and was clean. Recommended
We stayed here as part of bus tour group .Its a jungle once we passed the reception ,dining area decorated like a forest . Rooms are spacious cant find fault .Just wonder why theres a hole at side of door. Breakfast buffet were great many selections and staff were friendly amd tried to speak english to us. Since we just stayed here to sleep cant really comment on other areas. Location seems far from everything..
In a surprise decision we took two of our many grandchilderen to the Holiday Inn which lives up to its eternal reputatation when it comes to comfort, kids and other amenities. In our case we we decided to return to this great hotel for the third time. We were overwhelmed because not only did Holiday in stay consistent moreover the hotel has improved its standard and when we arrived for dinner our grandchilderen were greated by Wilfrieda whom I cannot describe in other terms than awesome, sophisticated and last but not least so friendly towards our grandchilderen that it made our stay so wonderfully pleasant. I watched Wilfrieda while coaching her staff and she is just a wonderful hostess and manager, the hotel would be a completely different experience without her. I hope she stays on because now all of our 7 grandchilderen want to come with us! We will make this hotel a a yearly pilgrimage ! I recommend this hotel to all families I talk to. If Wilfrieda is not there at my next visist I will cancel it. Make sure you ask for her when booking you will be mesmirized by her presence
