A spacious, clean, modern holiday inn 2km away from the Central Station. Has a free shuttle running to the center in the mornings and evenings. Pool and sauna are a plus. Beeakfast very satusfying and nice ocean bar. Rooms are kept clean, big bathrooms, comfy beds. Personalized digital service in the rooms!
strange building , rooms at inside and outside all around a "garden, central place, ", looks more like a motel. Good breakfast, very simple rooms. friendly staff at reception, expensive outside parking
This hotel should never be rated a 4* . It’s more like a prison or an American motel . By far one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in . No particularly great views and it’s just miserable and of low standard .
Pretty hotel wil nice, cozy room. Plenty of choice for breakfast, free parking. Convenience to go the train station - by bus or u can walk. If u dont need to clean ur room, they will give u voucher to use for drinks/foods in their Ocean bar.
We visited keukenhoff in April to see the tulips and this was a nicely located hotel. We found it to be extremely comfortable with all modern amenities - the breakfast was really stunning. I would highly recommend as an inexpensive but value for money hotel.
The hotel has a huge indoor atrium along which inner ring and outer ring rooms are configured. We were given inner ring rooms close to the children's play area and swimming pool. Noise levels were not as bad as feared, also due to the fact that the play area ("The jungle") only opens at 9AM. We actually enjoyed a sound night sleep also thanks to comfortable beds. Some of the outer ring rooms face directly to the parking lot, some other like room 101 and 102 are still separated by an indoor corridor from the outside. These are likely the best rooms from a safety and sound levels perspective. The hotel is very family friendly, especially on weekends. They have a nice and fairly large indoor pool, a big billiard, a playground, a fitness room, and even a big "Springkussen" configured in one of the bigger meeting rooms. Many families stay there during weekends and enjoy the late check-out time of 12AM allowing a nice morning swim even for one night stay. On-site parking is available for 5 Euros per day. Rooms are a litle bit dated but fully equipped according to four star hotel norms including desk, minibar, safe, etc. And fairly spacious. Cleanliness is acceptable but could still be better (some dust below the beds etc.). We had a little bit of confusion since "behind our back" 15 euros per room had been added to our online reservations in the IHG app for the second person in the room. When we clarified that we really only had one person per room this was subtracted again. Having said that, the room rate was very favourable for the facilities provided.
After a long drive from the French coast this was just what Mrs, R, & I needed. A really great hotel with a bit of a twist. Reception was straight forward and all the staff have far better English than my Dutch will ever be. From the very modern reception area you walk along a wide corridor to where the hotel opens up into a large eating and communal area with a hint of an Asian theme. The centre of this area is dominated by a running stream & pool with turtles basking and Koi swimming, A variety of real foliage is also growing throughout the room. There is a real feeling of being in your own little eco-system! You pass through this area and the rooms form a U shape on three levels around the communal area. Some rooms overlook the pool and others face out from the hotel. Our room, which had been classed as "executive" was just that; and had everything we needed and you would expect. It was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom area, absolutely no complaints there! Our room was not one which overlooked the pool area, and we both agreed that the walkway we had to use to get to our room was a bit of a let down. It was similar to a conservatory and extremely cold with the window view constantly obscured by condensation.I'm not sure what can be done about this but in the long run I would think the damp will play havoc with this walkway. I also imagine in the summer this passage way must be super heated, although the windows do open! The hotel is a bit isolated, however we had a car and the staff directed us to a good car park in the City from which we accessed both the City itself and caught very reliable trains to Amsterdam & The Hague. Very simple to do. As it happened we ate three times in the Hotel. It is just a tad pricey, as is the bar, which itself is very pleasant. The a la carte menu was fine, and the Mediterranean buffet offered up loads of food with good variety, I though the veal dishes really good. The third night we ate was a slightly mixed experience as it was a "Sinterklass" buffet at which the locals, and particularly their children, were celebrating aspects of Dutch Christmas. We thought the food to be a bit less fulfilling in both flavour and variety. It was also noisy as by the time we ate most of the kids seemed to have absorbed enough treats, sweets and sugar to ensure Tate & Lyle have a great year! We are fairly child tolerant but someone looking for a quiet break would have struggled. At the end of the day thought you have to buy in to the local traditions and cultures of places you visit. The hotel overall is very child friendly with its swimming pool, play area, and the fish & turtles; without hesitation we'd stay here with the granddaughter if the opportunity arose, and likewise the staff seem very capable in their dealings with both adults/grown ups, and kids. All in all a good stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel is a good base to visit some great parts of Holland, it is easily accessible from the motorway network and has free parking,
Stayed here for the International weekend. It was a lovely hotel room and good maid service. Downside we had a inner room which was extremely warm and it became really noisy at meal times. A further negative was the extortion bar prices, the average price of a pint €8, n a Malibu and lemonade €8.30.
Organising a meeting for 200 people is never easy but the Holiday Inn was the perfect spot for it. It is nicely laid out with a covered atrium used as restaurant between the various parts of the hotel, a nice breakfast buffet, good meeting facilities and a short bus ride from central Leiden. I'm not sure I would have liked to have a room facing the atrium, but luckily we were in another wing. We shared a twin room between three people and it never felt cramped.
You have here everything for the family - swimming (up to 11pm), play rooms for the kids and a free internet connection. That's beside the clean and large rooms inside! Oh, I forgot the excellent location to the rest of Netherlands, and free parking!
