This hotel is overpriced, as are most on the island. But, I would recommend spending a little more money and getting a really nice hotel. I felt like I was being "nickeled and dimed" which wouldn't be so bad if the "resort" was nice. Check in isn't till 4 PM and checkout is at 11am. They don't allow for late check out and start charging you $25 for each additional hour of stay, even if they are not fully occupied. They also charge you an "activities fee" of over $50 but there is nothing to do on their beach. The water is not like the water on the rest of the island--it is murky with seaweed and unappealing. The "complimentary" breakfast is awful. The food looks and tastes like it has been sitting out for days. The villas look cute but are not very functional--can't take a hot shower, worn towels, bathroom faucet not working, tried to cool room with air conditioning but it was set at 78 degrees. Also, Hideaways is not in a great location. The closest place to walk is a half-mile away. They have a free shuttle service that takes you into Georgetown but that stops running about 5 PM and then you have to pay a cab to get anywhere. I do highly recommend going to Shirley's at the fish fry which is a half mile down the road. I do highly recommend going to Shirley's at the Fish Fry to eat which is a half mile down the road. The food is excellent and the service terrific. I don't recommend eating at Splash which is Hideaways restaurant

Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa on the beach. Steps from the beach. Very clean.

A great little place in a great location! Staff was helpful, wifi is nonexistent so if you have Verizon, get the travel pass for 10 bucks a day and you're set. Stay in a villa on the water- you are literally steps from the ocean! Walkable to a couple of good restaurants-try latitudes! Will likely come back, but with more family! Would definitely recommend!

Very nice hotel with friendly stuff. We were lucky to visit Hideways for the third time, year after year. And we will always come back with pleasure . This is our favorite spot on Bahamas. Special thanks to Anita, the sweet girl from Splash Bar.

Exuma itself is worlds away from the noise of Nassau, and the Hideaways (formerly Palm Bay) is a wonderful compliment to the quiet, peaceful and calm surroundings. It's a series of small bungalows with a couple of pools, a friendly little bar/restaurant and a spectacular view. The staff was friendly and helpful (even when we lost our rental car keys and were in a bit of a jam), and the proximity to the Fish Fry restaurants was key.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hideaways Palm Bay Resort. It was my first trip to Exuma and I was celebrating my birthday. I stayed in Villa #14 which was a one bedroom Oceanside cottage. It was great! The water was right there when I opened my door in the morning and the waves lulled me to a perfect sleep every night. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Every need was taken care of. I can not comment on the food as the restaurant was closed during my stay. It was not an issue as there were several places to eat very close by. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the property and very pleased with the overall value. I would definitely recommend Hideaways to others that are looking for a budget friendly and very nice place to stay!

The staff was so great and helpful. Exumas is an amazing place to be and definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Hideaways Exuma is a wonderful place to leave the world behind, to relax and enjoy the beauty of the sand and sea. The bungalow accommodations are perfectly located - on the beach and close to town. The staff is outstanding, helpful and overly polite. What a welcome change from your typical hotel. The owners were very informative and extremely friendly. We had the place practically to ourselves, which was wonderful, but heard that it is hopping during the busy season. We prefer the peace and quiet. We will definitely return to our "almost" private island.

Was moved to a room with queen, not king bed. Size of room was good. location bad. Outside patio needed repaired, all other cabins looked renovated from outside. Shrubs and trees brushed on cabin all night, sounds like someone breaking in. Beach dirty, scary location on street and people walking the street. Afraid to walk down the road. All "complimentary features" COST. Breakfast cost not posted. $5 breakfast cost me $23. No one smiles.

Atlantis was definitely a tourist mecca. The waterslides and pools were a lot of fun. There are a lot of restaurants and things to do there. Just be careful about hidden charges. We got charged $2 just for making a local call and $5 for dialing a 1800 number. They will charge you for every little thing. Staff weren't very friendly either.

We visit the Bahmas often This hotel looked modest. The rooms were very ABOVE average. All anemities that you could need. We even upgraded to be on the beach for a small price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They had a boat trip through Robert's Adventues and it was FANTASTIC! Highly recommended. The price we thought was high but in the end well worth every penney. The only thing were dissapointed in was the lack of " native island" food. Otherwise...go there!
