This hotel is definitely dated, but don't let that keep you away. The rooms are a little small by current standards, but nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. And clean without heavy use of aerosol air fresheners!

The parking lot was falling apart. Lobby and rooms outdated and extremely shabby.

The hotel is a bit old in its decor and furnishings but all is maintained properly. Would be a good location if there were restaurants within walking distance.

Nice hotel, very clean, nice pool. Staff very helpful and courteous.

We stayed at this hotel when attending a memorial service. The room was dark and you could hear noise from the pool and hotel staff. It also seemed very out of date. We went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast prior to leaving and the food was less than to be expected and staff was rude when asked simple questions.

1. Great location for walking to main street, shopping and many fine eateries. 2. Hotel food was excellent and reasonable pricing. 3. Hotel staff were delightful, helpful and nice! 4. Excellent room service. 5. Good vehicle parking/access to hotel entries. 6. A repeat stay is in a future return.

Overall, very good. Elements of the hotel need updated (some floors need new wall paper and carpeting--just needs some refreshing. On the plus side, we actually never needed our car--both of the big theater festivals (Berkshire Theater Festival and Barrington Stages) were easy walks, as were alot of good restaurants. Staff was nice and it was the fastest hotel internet I've ever had.

The hotel is well located in central Pittsfield, with some decent restaurants and pubs nearby. We were moving around the region on a casually-planned trip and selected the town as a stopping off point. We found that Pittsfield is a bit down on its luck compared to some of the other nearby towns with their astronomical real estate prices, wealthy seasonal residents and heavier concentrations of tourist traffic. We gathered that the departure of a major local industrial employer [GE] in recent years has hit the town harder than some others in the area. There are some new start-up restaurants, bakeries and gift shops setting up nearby [walking distance] to address the new economic realities, so visitors might seek them out. Access to Stockbridge, Lennox, Tanglewood and the other Berkshires circuit destinations is easy & takes only a few minutes of pleasant driving. The hotel staff was cordial in our limited encounters. The attached parking garage ($6/night) is convenient, but seems to be suffering from some structural issues with degraded concrete and added bracing shoring it up. There's an indoor pool and jacuzzi, but we didn't come prepared to use them. I would stay there again on a return trip if seeking a suitable, basic, centrally-located travel hotel as opposed to the B&Bs that are numerous in the area. I have had rather mixed B&B experiences in the past and prefer a regular hotel as a central excursion departure point.

I once stayed in a hotel within Lenox to attend a concert at Tanglewood and it was a dump for a very high price. This hotel beats the unreasonably expensive in Lenox in terms of reasonable price, ambience, amenities, cleanliness, etc. I will stay there again definitely. Just drive a short distance out of Lenox and this was a gem!

My wife and I were driving through New England for the Fall colors, so we stopped and stayed the night in Pittsfield MA on our way to New Haven CT. The room very large, but very out dated. It was clean but not a comfortable feeling staying there at all. We just wanted to leave as soon as we could the next morning. We paid almost $200, not worth it at all, not what we were expecting.

I had this room booked for a project that I cancelled. So I went to just use the room & relax. What a nice thing to do! Every staff member I encountered was sincerely friendly. The location is perfect to relax & enjoy down Pittsfield. I live in Boston and now have a secret escape, when I need to get out of the city, affordably.

I gave this hotel stay as a gift to my parents who just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They said the hotel was very nice. The room was much more spacious than expected with a queen size bed as well as a sofa. The complementary buffet breakfast had plenty of choices. They would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 1 night while skiing at Jiminy Peak nearby. The hotel has an excellent location in downtown, is near good restaurants, and had a great pool. Staff was very friendly. Hotel itself a little dated, but very clean. Only real downsize was that they charged extra for parking. Who does that in a small town?

Every thing was great. The pool was a special treat on a cold winter day.

Everything was good except I requested a room with a queen size bed, was given 2 single beds. Wasn't happy about that & was told there wasn't anything else available. I feel they should of told me when I called to confirm, also was not happy that I had to pay an add'l $6.00 just to park in their parking garage.

The stay was comfortable. The location and parking were good. The service was good. It's too bad the only breakfast option was a buffet as I preferred a lighter breakfast, and so I ate elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel for a single night on a business trip. The hotel is a bid dated but very nice. The bar area looks to have been refurbished recently and the indoor pool was a nice touch. The staff was excellent and suggested local places to eat etc that were within walking distance. Only bad thing is there is a $6 fee that is NOT included in room rates for the parking garage.

We were in town for a concert at Tanglewood and the front desk was very helpful and personable when we arrived. We were placed in a smoking room and they quickly accommodated us to a non-smoking room when we asked. Location is ideal, our only regret was that this was a quick trip and we didn't get to stay longer. We will definitely be back.

The hotel was clean and the staff courteous. Our room was quite loud due to the position of the room. We were next to a roof exhaust chimney that kept us up at nights. The temperature of the pool was very cold, and the tiny hot tub was always full, probably because the pool was so cold. The exercise room needs another treadmill.

The lobby and pool area are nice, but the room was not great. The A/C unit didn't work very well and was noisy. The bed was hard and some of the towels were dirty. I found out they have good ski packages after I bought the tickets and everything. Would have liked to know that beforehand.
