The place was very convenient, and seemed safe, but it was a bit sparse. Pretty much just the basics. Very small room, and incredibly small bathroom. Shower had no curtain and soaked most of the bathroom with water that went to a central drain. We had an odd sewer-gas type smell in our bathroom that didn't ever go away. However, the hotel is just a few block outside the very central section of the city, and only two blocks to Anne Frank House, Dam Square, and plenty of nice places to eat. There is a good bakery just a few doors down for coffee in the morning, and a decent Italian restaurant on the corner. This is a "I just want the basics" hotel, and good way to save money to go spend in your time in the city. You'll need it, since you won't really want to spend free time in your room.
No ac no elevator no help to take bags up 3 levels did no honor orbits statement to me that we would be credited for one room because one of our travelers had brain cancer .
Everything was nice and as expected. Room was clean and sufficient and we loved the view onto the street! The rooms are walk-up so if you need an elevator, keep that in mind. Check-in smooth and friendly!
It wasn't exactly a room. It was the attic (not joking). When we arrived the room was dirty. The bathroom not only has hairs from the previous guest but has no curtain. It was extremely small and really uncomfortable. To get to the room we had to clim 5 floors by stairs. Not only that, the hotel excuse for all that was "you are in central Amsterdam in return". Please, don't go there.
Small rooms however a great deal for the price. Right in the heart of the city with a wonderful balcony. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable.
