I stayed in this hotel for three nights and it was absolutely amazing. Kabuki restaurant was one of the best Japanese restaurants that I have been to. The staff was amazing, the food was great and the staff even gave my friend and I personalized chopsticks! I have referred the hotel to all of my close friends! The scenery overall is beautiful. Very peaceful feel. The gym was very clean and spacious. Definitely worth it! It is also very close to the airport around 25 minutes! You will not be disappointed.

Visited for 10 days on LUXURY ESCAPES package. Could not have asked for more, daily yoga and aqua aerobics with FIN excellent. Daily massage or scrub with DA and KOY a highlight. Every need catered for eg, towel and water on returning from a bike ride, towels and iced water before sitting by the pool. All staff were very attentive, friendly and eager to please. Rooms very clean and well maintained Food was plentiful and well planned with a variety of venues Available. If you need a resort AWAY FROM THE MADDING CROWD this is the place to be. Well done SANDER. THELMA AND LOUISE HAD A BALL

The resort is great for those seeking a quiet time-out. The gym is well-equipped, the three pools offer a daily change of view, the breakfast buffet is yums (yay for free flow of coconut water!), the long stretch of beach is beautiful, and there is a store that sells daily necessities should you choose to cook--because really, there's so much to do here, you don't need to leave the place at all! Also, there's a turtle conservation area within the resort grounds, which we found very thoughtful. Good job, Marriott Phuket. A special mention goes out to "X-Man", a staff who took the time to wow us with his magic tricks during our visit to the Out Of The Blue bar (buy-1-free-1 offer from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and from 9.30pm to 10.30pm!). The friendly chap is a great entertainer, and was very helpful with the questions that we had.

This is a fantastic property with lots of open locations and restaurants to explore. There is plethora of recreation amenities with volleyball to water sports to kids room to yoga and zumba classes. For foodies there are multiple restaurants inside and within walking distance

As a Marriott Vacation Club member, we are most pleased with the quality accomodation, good restaurants and wonderful staff at JW Marriott phuket beach resort. There is a turtle sanctuary that opens daily 10am-12pm for the kids to learn about wildlife protection. Free 1.5hrs daily bike rental for hotel guests. Excellent gym and free spa. I enjoyed the body workout and morning yoga classes very much. Cheap happy hour drinks at the pool side and good quality pool snacks. Special mention to the new team of kids club staff. Our 3 girls were spoilt with so much love and care. One of the lady staff made a birthday card and gift for my youngest one. She was so thrilled she kept going back to hug and thank the staff on the day of our departure. My girls want me to give special mention to the team at Kids' club: Sunny, Love, Mew, Nan and June. Thank you for the wonderful memories once again!

JW Marriott is a more up market version of the Marriott brand. The hotel is located in the top left hand corner of the island of Phuket, north of the island's airport. It's location is both it's virtue and why it doesn't get a fifth star in this's a long way in terms of time to virtually anything else on the island (except the airport). The hotel sits immediately behind a gorgeous beach with the additional benefit of swimming pools and dining outlets a plenty. There have a turtle rescue project which very interesting, and the typical water sports you would expect of a luxury resort hotel. Life revolves to some extent around a large central water feature, with the bar on one side and the main restaurant on the other. The choice at breakfast was amazing, the fresh fruit and juice options awesome. The bedrooms are located in blocks that fan out from the main block. Very well equipped, modern but with more than a nod to its location. Service levels was excellent and very one chasing the dollar for a tip here. This is a resort hotel, you come here to drop and flop. That said within a 5-8 min walk from the main entrance is a small collection of shops and casual restaurants, a supermarket and a 'English' styled pub. Within the shops is a Jim Thompson selling good quality silks plus a couple of souvenir outlets. There is an ATM here - I assume there is also one at the hotel. I personally liked this hotel, if you could shift it down the coast a little, retain the wide front onto the lush, quiet beach it would be spot on. Happy to return.

Have stayed here with family only for a day. But out of all the places I stayed I prefer JW to everywhere else just because of the service, amenities and food. - Located near to airport(Half an hour) and on a quite secluded area with a clean beach (though you cannot swim here). - There are 3 resorts nearby like Renaissance, etc and a small shopping centre/restaurant called Turtle where the hotel gives a free shuttle. - This place is good only if you need to spend the entire day enjoying the beach resort and its activities. The resort have enough facilities to keep u engaged for 2 days. - Generally I found some in Thailand to be a little rude, but here all the staff were exceptional in greeting and putting up a smile and always ready to help. - Breakfast was the best I have ever had, though vegetarians might have a little less options - Resort is a little old, but maintained exceptionally neatly and classy. - 3 pools which are again stunning and clean. - 1 hour to reach Patong which is the most happening area in Phuket. - Thankfully it wasn't raining and being a low season itself the resort was full Overall I feel this has the best property in Phuket with an impeccable service quality. Recommend everyone to spend atlas 1-2 days here just to relax and then move to Patong or other busy areas for outdoor activities.

Stayed in here for 2 weeks and I really satisfied. The best service from Marriott as I expected. Many activities you can do in here such as make animal towel, cooking school, turtle feeding, etc. But be careful at night because it is really dark. And Jessica, from japanese restaurant, she was everywhere! I met her few times in another restaurant and she always greets me cheerfully and remember I don't like lemon on my water. Lovely girl!

What went well Nice bracelet from staff the moment I step off the airport transfer vehicle. Quick check-in. Huge spacious room. Ballroom and meeting rooms with sufficient food and beverages for meeting conference. Good choices for food with ample restaurants to choose from. Thoughtful staff with good service from front desk to housekeeping to gym. Lots of activities for guests including bicycle for use. Farewell from staff. What could be better No welcome drink. Could do with new facelift as hotel room quite old. Hotel management staff not as friendly as other staff.

We flew up to Phuket for 4 days of R & R. The decision to stay the JW Marriott was based on previous experiences - we've stayed there three previous times. The hotel experience was excellent - the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast at the Marriott Cafe was excellent as always and never lacked for variety. We had a great time. highly recommended. Only point of note is that we weary if you don't like creepy crawlies -the garden lizards were out in full force, basking in the sun and that left some of us a little anxious.
