Though we had a great stay in Crowne Plaza during our February trip and gave a good review of the hotel, we decided to try a different hotel. Considering the location of JW Marriott (beachfront and away from the crowded Patong), we chose this hotel. Unlike in other hotels where hotel staff immediately assists you with your luggage upon arrival, we did not get that here. It wasn't a good first impression. side from that, the rest were okay. The check in staff, was nice and accommodating enough to change our impression of the hotel's service. We booked a terrace room with a garden view. The room was quite huge though you can see that it's a bit dated. The room had a separate shower and bath, with a good heater system. There was also an area in the room where you could have your massage or afternoon nap. If you have kids, you can even have the sleep there. Pillows were so comfortable. The room also have universal electric outlets, although it would have been better if the outlet located by the bedside was also universal. We didn't really stay in the terrace as there were a lot of mosquitoes. Though they provided mosquito coils, there wasn't any lighter provided. One thing that needs improvement is the housekeeping. The room cleaning is usually done a bit late, maybe due to lack of staff. But the housekeeping personnel are nice, I only requested extra bottled water once and from that time on 4 bottles were provided in the morning and during the turndown service. Thanks to Wyham (not so sure of her name). Overall, the room was okay, but paying an extra for the terrace isn't really worth it. Though this is a beachfront hotel, the beach is not really swimmable due to huge waves and jelly fishes. However, the pools make up for it. The pools weren't that crowded, we saw two adult pools (one in each wing) and a children's pool. The pool in the south wing had daily specials, you could order coconut (80B instead of the regular 120B) and their local beer (100B instead of 180B). The pool attendants also provide ice water from time to time, which was a great relief while staying under the sun. When it comes to food, the choice was impressive. During our 5 day stay, we didn't feel the need to step out of the resort to look for food. Though we didn't get the chance to try all their restaurants. Since our booking included breakfast, we always had our breakfast at the Marriott Cafe. The staff were so nice, and engage you into short talks. You can feel their genuineness when talking to you, it was not just talking to you as part of their job. Too bad we didn't take their names for us to be able to recognise them here. Food was okay, with a variety of choices - local, western & Chinese. They also had gluten-free offerings. Although after the 3rd day, you'll already start to get bored since the menu seems to be the same everyday. We usually had our lunch at Siam Deli. It offers international as well as local cuisine. They also have healthy choices. Personally, nothing really stood out in Siam Deli. We also tried Kabuki, their Japanese restaurant. Food was okay but a bit pricey. Nothing really impressive. We also had a chance to try the Out of the Blue bar. During the happy hour drinks are 1 for 1. Aside from the drinks I enjoyed the Moo Yang. I was my first time to try it, and i was craving for it almost everyday. It's a must try, if you are a pork-loving person. You can also play the billiards while having your afternoon drinks. The bar is a nice place to watch the sunset although it would have been better if they provide some shades for the seats outside as afternoon sun could be too hot. The perfect way to end the day was to have a few drinks at the lobby bar while listening to live music. Michael and Grace were so friendly and accommodating, not to mention their versatile and cool voices. They were the reason why we always had some drinks at night, just to listen to their performance. The staff were also great and attentive. Thanks to Hwan, Bua, Aof, Aok, Nueng and Anne. Overall, JW Marriott was a good choice and is one of the best options to stay in Phuket.

This is the ultimate , high quality, destination. All day activities, lots of high class restaurants, swimmingpools, Beach and massage. Perfect rooms and room service. All facilities are perfect and ABOVE ALL the most friendly people!!!!

Job is a very nice man and kind and is always happy I really enjoyed my stay here and job always rings the bell once and waits and that is something good Because some people ring it non stop until you come and he is very professional and has very good English.

We stayed 5 nights in total. Meanwhile this is our 10th trip to Thailand and Phuket and we stayed in more than 30 different hotels and apartments. So the overall rating for the Marriott is "up to now the best". I like the usage of ranking like other users do, it gives a fast and good overview: General: +++ The hotel design typ is colonial style like you know it from ancient Asian movie with a remarkable view and love for details. And very untypical with a never seen high level of maintenance, so there is nothing really damage or not working, dirty or heavy used. Even the infinity lake (not for swimming, only decoration) opposite the check in was cleaned twice during our stay. The lobby is impressing, and could be used as movie cene without any change. Private 600 mtr beach with direct access, no other tourist from other very private and relaxing. Room: +++ 43 sqm, also with a high sense for details, well integrated bathroom, shady, look to the garden and ocean, very quiet, nice balcony, good room service. Breakfast: ++ Buffet with Enormous variety of food from all over the world. Only the healthy factor was a bit missing, but who really cares on vacation. Kids: +++ No problem to leave your kid at the kids club. Very careful staff, our son loves it and stayed for hours. No extra charge for 5 y old kid if it needs no extra bed. Restaurants: ++ 11 restaurants belong to the hotel area. The Thai food "ginger" was our favorite. Outstanding friendly and helpful staff, romantic location (ocean and beachfront), must see bathrooms, very nice design of the building, good food quality but compared to the very high price not totally worth the money. Good alternative: Siam daily (often crowded due to western style food and affordable prices) Location: +++ (for us) Far away from any party located north in the island. If you want to explore the island or go for shopping you should rent a car or scooter. Pool: +++ 4 pools in total. Main pool is very big and als in ancient design (look and felt a bit like in the toomb raider games of the 90th) GREAT!!!!! Price: - - - or +++ (what we had this time) Price need to be checked very carefully to get best value offer. During high season way far to expensive. We will return for sure!

In my humble opinion this resort is one of the best designed and laid out. The site includes a huge JW Marriott luxury hotel, surrounded by several Marriott Asia-Pacific Vacation club buildings. These suites are not the typical master-main-2nd bedroom configuration you see in most other MVC rooms, and I personally like this room layout much better. The master bedroom suite is HUGE and the adjoining bathroom is too. The resort itself has something like 10 restaurants and 7 bars, like 5 or 6 pools, lovely grounds and lots of things to do. It does NOT have the best beach, and the water (waves) can be difficult to see from most places on the grounds. But the staff, the grounds, the food, the drink and the atmosphere is so, so relaxing. I think the resort has some of the cheapest prices around, but this after all Thailand. My wife and kids absolutely love it here with a huge Gold's sized gym and tennis courts right there with the Blue Canyon Golf Club five minutes down the road. Its just a great, GREAT place. Run don't walk.. you will love it here.

This was our first holiday to Thailand, and special to mark a big Birthday. Prior to the arrival I contacted the relationship team for ideas and assistance in making the trip special to remember for my partner and keep his birthday secret. They offered great advice and put on cakes at breakfast and we dined at the steak restaurant where we had extra special treatment from the chefs. The hotel is in itself exceptionally beautiful in its layout and presentation is top class. A number of quality eateries are available. If you like plants you will be amazed by the gardens and maintenance. The staff at all levels, reception, concierge, housekeeping, bar and restaurants are friendly welcoming and take care of your every whim. Our room was divine and we felt at home. Its perfect if you are seeking sanctuary but if you need hustle bustle note this is a 30-50 minute drive. A special thanks to Isaac, Jacob, Aiu the night staff and live band singers in fact everyone for taking care of us. We hope to return again.

the staff are amazing, high service, helpful, friendly & smily. we love them and we will make sure to visit the lobby bar again:) thank you so much for wan, bua, aof, aek, anny, nueng you were so amazing.

Some part of the hotel is like a jungle. Nice to strolling. Pond with orchids is really good view. They celebrated my wife's birthday with cakes and towel art. Especially thank you, Kate and Kook Kai!

friendly staff (Thank you Job for your room service and the staff who helped us found our sunglasses at the main pool!), comprehensive facilities, a great experience overall! we liked the north pool in particular!

Our seventh family holiday at the JW Phuket and was a fantastic trip as always! Staff, service and restaurant quality remain top class. The Deli was ever reliable with a wide variety of food types for all ages and moods. Nash, the tennis coach, was great as always and always manages to find realistic ways for me to improve my game. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you!
