Motel 6 Terre Haute

Not the best Motel 6. Everything was kind of run down. You have to drive through a mall parking lot to get to the motel. It has a fine location as far as nearby restaurants and things to do. Where our room was, the WIFI was really bad. They keep the grounds well maintained - lots of what looked to be peach trees. That is really all I can say - kind of run down, OK for a night.

When I arrived, as I was checking in another guest walked in and told the young man at the front desk that he opened his door to the room and another person was in there sleeping. This was the beginning. I asked for a room on the bottom floor because it just did not look safe enough to go upstairs. The room was dirty, the bathtub was so dirty that I am not sure it had ever been cleaned. I needed to shower so I went to the desk and asked for some towels because there where none in the room. I was given "clean" towels which looked worse than ones I would use to clean my car. I had to lay a towel in the tub to take a shower. The door was broken so I put a chair up to it to make sure no one could come in. I slept in my close for fear of bugs. I should have just left but was so tired from driving and needed to close my eyes for a few. Stay away, dirty, bugs and who knows what else.

When I arrived Amy greated me and was amazing. She explained everything in a way i understood. My room was clean and free of any unwanted pets. Nacy my housekeeper was amazing she brought me some extra linen. The parking lot was free of litter and unwanted trash. They are working really hard to get everything cleaned up. I will be coming back to this hotel very soon.

We walked into our assigned non smoking room and it wreaked of smoke. We immediately asked and were assigned a different room. The pillows were pathetic everything seemed dirty, the toilet didn’t work and the freezer/ fridge which we needed to use was filthy. We told our concerns to the staff and they came immediately and started replacing bedding- with sheets still in packaging- however they didn’t replace the blankets so we had a sheet and flimsy bedspread. They swept the floors and cleaned the fridge and allegedly fixed the toilet. We decided we could tolerate for two nights as nothing else was available. The next morning we let them know the toilet still didn’t work and it was fixed when we returned that evening. When I read these reviews I realize they are from a prospective that might not match mine so I took photos. It is less expensive ( I think $134 for two nights) but not certain it’s worth it. It was also very loud outside the room the first night.

Spent the night of October 1st at this location. The rooms where dirty .sinks leaked. During our stay a cock roach was seen in the room Left our dogs in the truck as it was to dirty for animals seems to have lots of regulars partying in the rear until the wee hours of the morning Avoid

I usually avoid motel 6’s but we were traveling home and this was a halfway point and we wanted cheap. For the price the rooms were ok. Room was clean enough. Hotel advertised “remodeled rooms”. Sorry but a fresh coat of paint isn’t really remodeled. Ceiling had water stains and whoever did the paint job needs a new job. That being said the staff was pleasant and the price was right. We had dogs with us and the only grassy areas to walk them had a lot of litter. Just glad we only had to go out there a couple times. Room was quiet and comfortable enough

This hotel looks dirty and unsafe on the outside. It is hard to get into from the road and the hallway lights don't turn on until after it is very dark outside. When i first got into the room it was an average motel 6 room. However, the beds were really gross. Now for the good... the staff are excellent! When i told the man at the desk (Beble, i think?) about the bad beds he was extremely apologetic and insisted on immediately calling the maid in to fix the problem. The maid (Malissa?) was at my room in less than 2 minutes with brand new, UNOPENED bedding and pillows. She also was very apologetic and friendly. All in all, the hotel is a bit grungy, but the staff are great.

Long story short, water stains on the interior walls from leaky roof, gross looking floors, smelled of mildew, and worst of all, roaches and ants. Bypass this place. It was like this 8 years ago when I had to stay there. It has gotten worse. The owner should be ashamed. The truth hurts. Only good thing about the place was Amy at the front desk!

I don't like to be negative, but this Motel 6 location looked/felt like it handn't been touched or upgraded since it was built 30 or 40 years ago. Motel 6 has redone/upgraded so many locations recently, but they skipped this one. Very uninviting "lobby", door that didn't fit well and let in tons of cold air, TV remote that barely worked and had everything backwards, back to two thin, skimpy towels with no extras, tub in shower was wearing through, unplugged/not working (?) refrigerator in the rooom, and indoor pool(really?) that was chained shut and smelled extremely bad as you walked by it from the lobby. Geez! the Motel 6 chain should either totally remodel and upgrade this location or shut it down. It was an embarrassment, to say the least.

I had ask for a room for my daughter and myself in a well lite safe area. Our room was near the owners suite and near the office. The room was quiet, neat and clean. The cleaning person had even left some mints by the ice bucket. All the staff was very nice. This is a great place for a quick over night stay for a great price !
