I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The receptionist was excellent. Spoke good English. My room was large and had coffee making equipment. Bed comfortable. I ate at their restaurant and the staff again very nice and I had one of the best meals I have had at a hotel. Breakfast too was very good and cooked fresh. I would have no hesitation in s hotel. Also Tequis is very pretty.
Hotel is clean and we'll maintained. Rooms are simple, yet clean and Bedding comfortable. Good place to stay on a short visit. The location is slightly removed from central area, but east 5 min drive. Surrounding the Hotel, not much to see. You can expect clean and dependable service and close to main central area.
We spent one night here during the wine festival in March 2016. While the staff was nice and the room clean, there were a few problems including extremely thin walls (we literally heard everything in the two rooms next door so had very little sleep), no extra pillows (I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel that informs you that they simply don't have extra pillows -- not that there weren't any available because they were fully booked but that they just don't have any), and the parking lot is very small requiring you to entrust your keys to the staff and hope that they end up appropriately marked. In one case, they had our keys marked with an incorrect room number. While we had booked a room with two double beds for four people, they had 1 small bottle of shampoo and no conditioner in the room. They also only supplied two towels. Wifi failed most of the time we were there.
Well-located, only 5-7 minute walk from the main plaza in town. Modern facility. Good food in the affiliated restaurant, especially for breakfast! The wifi signal is very weak in the hotel and almost unusable. At night the place looks like a tomb because there are either no lights on or the lowest wattage bulbs ever made. The management should not be so cheap. On the plus side, the staff are helpful.
at 100 USD per night is some expensive, but if you get lucky and get a promo code, coupon, or corporate discount it drops to around 70 usd that is not a bargain but is fair price. Restaurant is great for breakfast, but if possible try local delicacies you'll get a better Tequisquiapan experience doing so.
got charged after reservation got canceled. we reserved via web page... got a call from hotel telling us that our reservation got cancelled because our credit card did not accept charge. made other plans. credit card got charged nevertheless. they won't return charged amount.
Very accommodating and friendly hotel. Very late check-in was easy and fast. Nice sized room with good wi-fi access. Very good restaurant on site, with a wide assortment of menu items from salad to pizza to steaks.
Always a good option to stay when you visit Tequisquiapan. All services are good and the location allows you to walk around downtown without having to take a cab. The hotel has great amenities and the service is very good.
This is the type of hotel for the day traveler. The staff is very happy and the greet you with a big smile. The hotel even has a mascot which is a wonderfully calm chocolate lab which lays around and just enjoys life. The hotel is very small but it is located in a very good spot. Within walking distance you can see the church which lights up the center of the city and through the winding walkways you can find excellent restaurants to choose a great meal and laugh with friends. I really enjoyed the two days at the hotel and I look forward to my return trip. The rooms are small but every thing is in order and the hotel is very clean. The price is a little high but the service is very good and the breakfast is typical Mexican but that is what you can expect while traveling the back roads. I enjoyed my stay and I look forward to the return trip.
To call this hotel a "Best Western" is misleading if, like me, you associate the chain with cheap motels with bad coffee and dingy rooms. This is an (relatively) upscale hotel with amenities and service that surprised me and my wife. The rooms are somewhat small but the furnishings are clean and well-maintained. Nice little pool, lobby, bi-lingual staff, and the 'free continental breakfast' at the restaurant in front of the hotel is fantastic...but a little sparse...so I added chiliquiles ($8) which were the best I've ever had. Be aware that the restaurant doesn't open early so you may have to wait 'til later in the morning for your breakfast. · I don't think there are any rooms with street noise 'cuz the hotel is well "in" from the street. · Across the (side) street from a great coffee shop/art book store/art studio called, "Tifereth Libreria". · It's a 12 minute walk down Colegio Militar (Street) to Tequisquiapan Plaza with its wonderful cobblestone shopping, vendors, church, history, restaurants, and traditional hotels. · You might select this hotel if you prefer a U.S.-style hotel rather than a Mexican...
