My husband and I have just returned from a 5 night stay. Arrival: warm welcome - the ladies on reception are friendly helpful super efficient. Rooms: are all suites . We had a junior suite with side sea view and it was huge. Four poster bed, walk in changing room, huge bathroom. An elegant room in keeping with the colonial style decor of the hotel. Pool: super large free form pool at perfect temperature. The hotel was fairly busy I think but the pool was never busy even if the loungers around the pool were all occupied. That is the difference when you stay in an adult only ( over 16 years) hotel. Peaceful and relaxing. Restaurants : Main buffet restaurant El Mirador was fantastic. Best buffet service - you self select your starter and dessert and you order your main course from the waiter who will serve to you at your table. Good selections of main courses (5/6) every night. They have a plate of each dinner on display at the buffet so you can look before you order. Fillet steak, swordfish, various fish, prawns , squid, lobster - Iberian pork and many more. In addition there are two other restaurants La Pergola and El Cenador. If you stay on half board your meals will be mostly taken in the buffet restaurant but you can opt to dine in one of the A la carte restaurants once during your stay ( 5 nights) or more if staying longer. We ate in La Pergola overlooking the pool with a fresh mediterranean menu - it was superb. Spa looked fabulous but we only took a quick look and did not use it because the weather was hot but it looked calming and relaxing. Service: excellent I genuinely could not fault it. From the warm welcome at check in, complimentary welcome drink, smiley ladies ( sorry did not note your names) , Davide the smiley friendly head waiter and Maria and Judith in El Mirador, Mario in La Pergola and so sorry did not get the names of the lady in the pool side cafe or at the bar. All the staff were friendly helpful and met eye contact whenever passing. It seemed most were local Spanish staff and it was nice to chat about their island and lifestyle. Evening entertainment was relaxing and middle of the road style - more back ground music than showcase and was in the main bar each night from 8pm to 11pm. Location : Excellent overlooking Playa del Duque. Lovely sandy beach. The whole area is chic and elegant with a selection of tavernas overlooking the beach (just below the hotel). There is also a village style selection of boutiques accessed through a gate from the hotel although it is not part of the hotel. If you want to really shop Del Duque shopping mall is within a 20 minute walk. You can walk into Costa Adeje and the lively Playa Fanabe bars and restaurants in 20/30 minutes or in the other direction you reach the small harbour village of La Caleta . Personally we preferred just staying around the hotel and the restaurants / bars along the Playa del Duque beach. This is the most elegant area. If you don't want to travel 7 hours to Dubai but just want warm weather , an elegant luxury hotel with fabulous food and excellent service I see no reason in travelling any further than this hotel .- summer or winter. Thank you for the most relaxing 5 nights - wish it could have been longer.

The view and balcony from our room was incredible, however the bed was very hard...and i tend to like hard beds. The service was very poor though. Almost all the bartends, with the exception of 1-2, were very poor. Slow to make drinks, not attentive, out of ice, etc. The guy helping with the lounge chairs was also not very helpful. I actually saw a server having to step in and help a guest move a chair and umbrella. The music near the bar was nice but ended pretty early each night, would have be nice to stay open longer.

We have returned several times to this hotel and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent, staff friendly and approachable and are willing always to go the extra mile to make sure you have a good time and achieve the holiday you want. The rooms are wonderful with a variety of layouts and balcony / terrace areas. Rooms are quiet with wonderful views. The hotel has the best pool we've found and as the hotel is adults only the pool area is usually quiet. Plenty of sun beds and parasols for those who seek shade. We'd really like to keep this hotel secret so we can go back when we want. Breakfast buffet is comprehensive and delicious. Delightful seating area. Excellent restaurants in a short distance and hotel buffet is also excellent as are a la carte. There's a spa, excellent toiletries, everything that we want. Evening entertainment is classy and perhaps understated, but we enjoy it. Many many thanks to staff for delivering year after year. We love this hotel.

A really good week in consistently sunny weather - bar one dramatic thunderstorm. Food choice was good and sitting outside to eat was lovely. The pool was massive and you never crashed into anyone! Good sunbathing areas - watch out for friendly lizards if you eat on your sun lounger - and staff very friendly indeed. Beautiful aspect with the ocean just over the hedge.

The hotel and all personnel were as perfect as one could ask for. I can't say enought about the initial receptioin and the way the took care of me from the start. From the introduction session on all hotel amenities, the restaurant servers the bartenders, each one was extraordinarily professional. The hotel grounds, landscape, pools, fountains, parking garage, beach access, restaurants, lobby, etc. were perfectly groomed and maintained. The property was safe and absolutely secure. Access to adjacent shopping centers, the beach, activities are all within a short walk away. Taxis are available at a moment's notice for longer excursions if necessary.

We have stayed at El Mirador on several occasions and it has always been excellent. I would put it in the top 5 of hotels we have stayed at around the World. The staff in every area are first class; attentive, courteous and always smiling. We have stayed in a variety of room types and all are comfortable, well appointed and spacious. The sea view rooms offer a lovely setting looking out over the Duque Beach. Facilities are very good. The pool is first class and there is plenty of open space in the gardens around the pool to enjoy the sun and a cooling drink served by the helpful bar staff. The bar is a lovely setting to enjoy drinks at anytime of the day and the food in all of the restaurants is of a high standard. Breakfasts are full of choice and offer a great start to the day, particularly if seated outside on the terrace. Although the buffet style dinners are very good, the a la carte restaurants are a must try. Location is excellent with the hotel having direct access to the lovely Costa Adele promenade.

We said we were going back in April and we did. I thought I had sent in an update review only to discover that I hadn't...so here it is...better late than never. Last time I waxed lyrical about the views from the thrid floor and therefore asked for a room on this floor again. Dis-appointed on arrival to learn all rooms on third floor were full and somewhat reluctantly accepted a room on the fourth floor. WOW if the views from the third floor were good then those from the fourth floor surpassed everything. As last time we had a room with a four poster bed - large lounge area - great balcony with even better sea views - large TV set with the main UK channels - superb marble bathroom with shower and all the other essentials. Not only is the specification of the room of an exceptionally very high standard but the staff who keep it that way on a daily basis are quite exceptional in their attention to detail. Well done to all of you - your efforts are appreciated. Breakfast is an experience in itself. Whatever you want - they have it!!. And though it is buffet style many items are cooked in front of you just the way YOU want them, with a huge choice of fresh fruits and/or cereals to start the day. Now busy planning for our next visit around November time and will hopefully be bringing two of our friends with us so that they can see we are not exaggerating the high standard of this hotel, its staff and the service they provide, for their guests. Roll on November!

When I booked this hotel and saw the photos I thought it looked when we arrived I was not disappointed. On arrival from the airport which is about 20 minutes away we were greeted by reception with a complimentary glass of Sangria which was a great start we were booked into a junior suite but I upgraded to a terrace for and extra €40 a night it was well worth it The room was very nice clean and had a big bed a small dressing room area two dressing tables a suite and a built in TV outside we had a terrace with 2 sun beds you were given clean pool towels each day We were breakfast included but paid for the evening buffet for one night which was €40 each the food was nice but if you want to save a bit of money there are many restaurants near by underneath the hotel which worked better for us and it got you out the facilities around the pool were lovely you had waiter service by the pool and drinks are charged to your room by the pool which was huge it was quiet and peaceful as this was an adult only hotel I could not fault the staff who were friendly and always smiling especially the breakfast staff who were funny especially the chef did not get a chance to use the spa but went there and it was nice All in all I would go back and I would recommend this hotel is you want a real chill out for a week away 😁

I recently returned from a break at the Grand Hotel Mirador. This was our third visit accompanied by my two older children. The fact that we have returned three times speaks volumes. We have experienced a very high standard of service and venue at The Mirador. It is an adults only hotel with a variety of ages. There is always a very calm feel about the hotel and the poolside is very relaxing. There are plenty of sunbeds with very comfy mattresses. The pool person is only too happy to assist you. The pool is a good size and you are able to swim or simply paddle depending on your requirements. The food is exceptionally good and the breakfasts are a delight! So much choice - the smoothies are definitely worth a try. The only negative is the tea - the water is not boiling and the tea is awful. The evening meal main course is served at the table and there is always a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian If you don't like the menu the buffet offers plenty of scope. The rooms are a very good size however I would add that not all rooms have a very large balcony, these can differ from small to very large. On our arrival we did not like the room that we had been allocated, it looked out over a roof and had small balcony. Reception kindly relocated us to a better room with a better view and larger balcony, so always worth asking. The hotel is extremely clean in all areas and the staff (for the most part) extremely friendly and very happy to help. The odd grumpy member of staff stands out! A couple of minor niggles - the wi fi is poor in the rooms okay in reception( although it is free) and the tea & coffee provided by the hotel in the rooms isn't topped up. I'm quite puzzled by this as they top up the toiletries without delay! Overall we have had some lovely holidays here and would highly recommend it.

Wow! What can we say? We have just come back from a weeks stay at the iberostar grand el mirador hotel and we have NEVER had such an amazing, relaxing and all round fabulous holiday. We have stayed at some lovely resorts before but this one was really special. The staff couldn't do enough for us. It was very clean everywhere from the pool, public toilets, dining areas, bars and our room and balcony area. The food available was first class with plenty of fresh choices that would appeal to all. A gate which takes you from the hotel out to a lovely walk way full of bars, restaurants and boutique shops which felt very safe and secure and also relaxing. We can't wait to go again and we would recommend this hotel 100%
