My husband and I stayed at this fantastic resort for 9 days, celebrating our 40th. Every detail was perfection from start to finish. I am very particular...can not complain at all. We want to thank the staff; so friendly and courteous, always willing to help, always assisting. Always friendly. If you want a 5 star experience; quiet, beautiful,SAFE, with plenty to do (or do nothing at all) excellent service, excellent breakfast, nearby restaurants and shopping with a terrific public beach...look no further. We have been looking for the..."we will return" experience. This was it for us. IF I had to say anything...bed a tad firm and pillows a tad tired. Book and enjoy.

..........you want elegance, tranquility and restfulness? If you want music all day around the pool ,games organised and an active evening do not come here. The hotel therefore tends to attract the older generation ( my wife and I are north of 60). This is our second visit and there will be a third. Things do not get going here until about 8am when the ground staff begin to dress the sunbeds at ground level. (They start on La Balconada on the exclusive 1st and 2nd floors from 7am onwards.) Plenty of space to select your location. Huge swimming pool, wonderful restaurants (breakfast is a joy), luxurious rooms. Easy to run out of superlatives. Pricey but worth it. Two recommendations if you decide to leave the hotel. Dine at Torre el Mirador which is at the back of the hotel through the small shopping precinct (you will need to book). Go to Mare Nostrum in Playa de las Americas and see the staggering flamenco show; it is staggering. If you force me to find one thing wrong, then I would have to say that one of the two lifts is not working. This causes obvious delays and new residents will find the pieces of laminated paper stuck to each lift a 5 star letdown. Not management’s fault but it creates the wrong impression.

Just returned from 8 days in this fabulous hotel in a sea view junior suite. The room was lovely with a lounge area but small balcony, very spacious terraces, plenty of sun loungers and plenty of shade if you needed it. What really made the hotel for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, we could not fault any of them. Would recommend the hotel to anyone. The only faults were the music from the village bars next door went on until 12.30 so next time we would ask for a room the other end of the hotel as that end is near some private apartments. The WiFi and internet kept dropping off or just did not work, saying that we would still give the hotel 5 stars.

We have been travelling to Tenerife for many years and stopped at alternative 5 star hotels, including the Bahia del Duque next door several times, we returned to El Mirador for our 3rd visit and i can definitely say we won't be going anywhere else in the future, it was absolutely fantastic, it ticked all the boxes and more. We were upgraded without notice to a superb suite and the food in all 3 restaurants was exceptional. The staff in every department were incredible, nothing was too much trouble and every one without exception was happy and polite. The whole place appeared to have gone up a gear since we last stopped there. Just hope it does'nt get too busy when we want to go back in the very near future.

We traveled to Tenerife with Jet 2, this is my first time with them and it certainly won't be the last. This company has got everything right compared to other travel operators. We were booked bed and breakfast for 7 nights. On arrival at the reception we were offered a drink of your choice while they attended to your booking. The hotel also gave us a complimentary voucher for the spa and the a la carte restraunt .We were taken to our room which was a suite with a sea view. The perfect view from the balcony to sit at night and watch the sunset. The room was large and well equipped, large bathroom with separate shower cubicle which had two shower heads, one a drench shower. All top quality toiletries, towels changed twice a day and a turn down service at night. The towels for the pool area were left in your room in your poll bag supplied by the hotel. The breakfast in the was an array of every kind of food you can think off. The chefs were there every morning cooking your eggs the way you liked. We had one meal at night in the La Pergola which was very nice. On the day of my wife birthday the hotel unknown to us placed a bottle of Cava and a cake in the room.Everything about this hotel is about luxury and making your stay an experience never to forget. This for me is a hotel where guests return again and again. The report would be too long to list all the qualities of this hotel.Just read the reviews they don't lie.The hotel gave out a very save environment because people could not just walk in and stroll about.I think we will now be return guests when we go to tenerife. One problem the hotel had was only two lifts with one not working the whole week. If you had a mobility problem you could have struggled.

My wife and I booked a Junior Suite with a sea view on a B&B basis. We were delighted with the room, which was on the third floor of the hotel. Similar rooms on the second floor have massive outdoor space, but we felt that the higher elevation made up for the standard sized outdoor space (4m x 2m). Towels were changed twice daily and bed linen every other day; beach towels were provided every day, sometimes twice in one day. Breakfast buffet was very diverse and plenty staff around serving and clearing. Although the hotel was full there was no sense of being crowded, for example there was never a problem finding loungers by the pool and in the garden area.

This is our fifth visit to this hotel, and it just gets better, the staff are all so friendly and attentive, The rooms are excellent just as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurants are also fantastic offering a diverse selection of dishes. Already booked for next year and can't wait.

This was our third trip to Tenerife but our first to El Mirador. It certainly will not be our last. Everything met or exceeded our expectations and it is not really possible to criticise anything about the experience. The layout of the whole site has been very well thought out and the quality of fixtures and fillings are exceptional. Special praise must go to the buffet restaurant. The extensive range and quality of food was a delight. The management should be very proud and all the restaurant staff looked after us brilliantly. Thank you to Judith, Maria and Gabi especially but just to single them out for praise does not lessen further praise on all the other staff and chefs.

We arrived into a beautiful reception, calm, cool and tranquil. Our room looked lovely and we settled in and went to the buffet, we had taken a B and B booking, what a mistake, the buffet here is excellent and unique in that you order your main course as well as using the buffet, the quality, cooking and waiting service was superb. The next morning we went to reception to explain there was an issue with our room, an hour later we had viewed another, they had moved us in and arranged the room to suit 3 people, this was exceptional handling. After that our holiday was amazing, the room was perfect as was the pool area, bar, restaurants and Spa. We loved the Pergola restaurant, the food was exquisite and thank you to Enrique for suggesting the show stopper dessert and his exceptional service, also my daughter said they had the best risotto she had ever eaten. Sadly one night we ate instead at Nona Rosa (overpriced, self important waiters, terrible quality of food) we stuck instead with our hotel after that. The breakfast is AMAZING, nothing was to much trouble for the lovely chefs and it was a heavenly way to start the day. I loved the service by the pool, especially Toledo, quiet and thoughtful and always helpful, the little cocktail each day was lovely and the violinist and pianist in bar in the evening were excellent. Thankfully no hideous cabaret. This was our best holiday every (of all the 5* hotels we stay at) until the last day, we asked (this was advertised all over the lifts) to pay to keep our room or any other room, we kept being told to come back by the only unhelpful member of staff we met, finally at 12noon she said there was nothing available, we had to leave our rooms at 1pm, the only showers are by the pool toilet, they are dank and damp and there was no hot water, so we had to sit in reception for 4 HOURS! This is a five* star hotel with no acceptable shower facilities available for late departures, quite shocking. We were ready to book here again for our annual October getaway but will have to look at flights that leave earlier or go elsewhere.

First time going to Hotel El Mirador and it was superb. We cannot fault anything about the Hotel, the staff was very friendly and could not do enough for you. Our Bedroom was amazing cool and elegant. Food and room service was spot on, pool area was great. So what else can we say cant wait to go back for second visit. Thank you to everyone back at the El Mirador
