Very enjoyable holiday, friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food though a bit repetitive. Our only complaint is that we don’t think it is suitable for elderly and infirm. The hotel is near the top of a hill and the hotels restaurant is near the bottom so every meal you have to go up an down the hill. There are also a great many stairs throughout the hotel. Depending where your room is you have the same problem with the reception as it is at the top of the hill.We would definitely stay there again if there was no hill and not so many stairs. It is also in the process of being updated and refurbished due to changing hands due to bankruptcy
Just landed back in England about 10 minutes ago. On arrival looks nice but a bit run down, staff polite, and that’s all the good points. First day no water pressure couldn’t shower; was fixed until the second day, Room then the room flooded on the second day, water running out of the bottom of the toilet and bidet, my partner got ill from the dirty water, water from the toilet spread all the way into the living room and bedroom, brown liquid coming from bath, all the drains blocked. Bedroom damp, had to make a makeshift bed on the living room floor as the damp worsened my asthma. Flood not fixed for 2 days room stunk of sewage. The food was absolutely awful and inedible, ate the first day there lunch and dinner and it was so awful we went and checked everyday what there was and couldn’t bear to eat it so self catered the whole time. If you like watered down bolognaise with big lumps of mince in then it might be for you as that’s always on the menu. To top it all off, we left tickets for Siam park, Loro parque and a deposit receipt for a motorcycle and other various tickets/receipts on the table, we went out for the day and came back to discover it had been binned by the cleaners, the excursion was the day after luckily we sprinted up to the excursion shop on site as it was 1 minute from closing and the nice lady photocopied our original ticket for the excursion leaving the following morning but if we had discovered any later we would have missed the excursion as we had no proof we were booked on it. I am not a fussy person at all, but this hotel is a catalogue of failures and the food was horrendous and I eat everything, worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
My husband and I have just returned home after a weeks' holiday here. At reading some poor reviews we were slightly worried before we arrived- but there really was no need to be. The staff were all brilliant- very hard working, especially in the restaurant. The food was excellent, lots of variety- I was particularly impressed with the fresh fruit and salads. My husband was very impressed with the cooked breakfasts : ) we had ample food and friendly service (fully inclusive) Our apartment was super, really large and cool, very cleaned and serviced to a good standard. it was lovely and quiet and peaceful, just the sound of birds and wood pigeons. The colourful flowers in the gardens were just coming into bloom which was a treat. we wanted a quiet resort where we could also access daytrips. we got a local bus from outside the hotel, up the coast to Los Gigantes, Also plenty of excusrsions to choose from (booked via the hotel) we had a full days exploring the Teide national park. We had a really lovely time, the pool area was clean and would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. Mr and Mrs Donnelly (Room 3165)
This hotel is very tired. It’s 3 nice pools and tennis court are pretty much it’s only redeeming features. The rooms are in serious need of a makeover, or maybe even knocking down and rebuilding. We asked to be moved after, on day 3, we noticed we were sharing the kitchen with at least 4 GIANT cockroaches! The smoke alarms had been ripped out of the ceilings and the furniture was falling to pieces...and the mattresses were as hard as tables. The sun loungers were all very old and broken or just too stretched to lie in comfortably. Shame as it’s a sweet little area with some nice restaurants and a convenient bus ride into Los Christianos.
Check in was fine. Rooms fine. Very spacious. Complex not suitable for those with mobility issues. Lots of unavoidable stairs. At every stair was a ramp but the gradient was very steep. Food.. awful. Breakfast usual sausage egg beans fruits and pastry's. Lunch goat curry runny bolognaise or plain spaghetti. The worst meal of the day Dinner. Hit or miss. More so a miss The service was bad. I asked at the bar for a tray to carry 8 drinks . 4 water which were self served and 4 with. Self served I was told no against policy .. there were loads of things wrong but I would just drone on telling them Prob fine self catering .
The hotel aint too bad 3 pools.1 bar. room spacious and clean.no liloes or balls allowed in the pool.wtf my mukka spent 15 euro on a lilo to be told he can't use it in the pool by lifeguard.. Bring plastic pint pots for your beer.site on hill with plenty of steps.. food crap with only a few choices.. go to majorca to sol calla antena.in calla majorca.2 hours shorter more food choice.free bottles of water.and entertainment..
Before I give my review I must point out this is a three star hotel .What are people expecting ? the Ritz ? I booked this hotel after reading mixed reviews and was pleasantly surprised when we checked in. Our apartment was clean and spacious, granted it was a bit dated but was sufficient for our needs. All the white goods were spotless in the kitchen .General maintenance was being carried out at the pool next to the restaurant with painting being done around the pool area. Food in the restaurant was a bit of a hit and miss sometimes good, sometimes not so good but all staff were pleasant and friendly. Overall I cannot fault this hotel, ok maybe we had a better apartment than others, I do not know . This is however a great hotel for value for money if you go all inclusive. I would say to management : You cannot please all of the people all of the time, but you can please most of the people most of the time. Keep up the maintenance work. Would we go back ? YES !
Worst hotel ever. The outside was looking ok at first sight, but when you start looking you can see the houses are not in a good condition. The area around the pool was nice and clean and all the staff were very friendly. BUT.. the room! OMG, at first I thought I was at candid camera. The smell when I came in was heavy, the closet in the hall was disgusting and I couldn´t even keep my empty bag there. There were insects all over, mostly in the kitchen and bathroom. The walls and ceiling was very dirty, the bathtub had a painted bottom and was rusty, the hot water came through the cold and cold from hot... I can go on but please take a look at the pics. I would never stay there again, not for free and not even if someone would pay me for stay there.
The space around the hotel nice, beautiful swiming pools and green areas. Very friendly people working in reception nice warm welcome. The apartament in poor condition, furniture wery old. Bad smell from the bathroom and very old towels. Small insects in all apartament.
We checked in to this resort on a Friday and immediately asked for an upgrade, the rooms have not been touched for probably 30 years, poorly equipped kitchen, cracked tiles, dirty grout/mastic, window shutters falling to bits, curtains with rips in, awful sofa, the list can go on, TV was even chargeable at 1 euro/hour for 2 news channels!! Feel sorry for the staff, this hotel needs major attention. Approached management on the Monday as advised as they promised an opportunity to upgrade, Monday came but no room available surprise surprise, couldnt wait to get out and booked into the Pearly Grey which was heaven..
