Nice big room, location not the best, streetside, but as we booked just a few days in advance. Quite crowded at poolside, but not too noisy. The hotel iis huge, and it took some time to find our way around. Breakfast spendid. Cleaning could be better
There was only 1 computer to check new guests in, which made the process quite slow. We stayed in room 213 which was very run down and above a generator that fired up every 5 seconds 24 hours a day!!! Windows and shutters were warped. rooms in need of a major makeover! Thomas cook rep was extremely unhelpful and very condescending! We paid for all inclusive but I think we also paid for self catering guests to help themselves! several occasions throughout our 7 day stay many self catering families helped themselves to food and at no point were they challenged! Wrist bands were never checked when entering the buffet area so once again self catering guests got a good breakfast for free!! This has happened at all resorts we have stayed at in the canaries, We find it impossible to mix self catering, half board and all inclusive! the only guests who get a raw deal are the all inclusive ones! Which it wasn't a true all inclusive hotel. Pool towels were not provided water had to be bought. the food was OK. The pool snack bar was disappointing. food wasn't hot and many guests were greedy didn't tidy up their tables when they had eaten and lots of food on the floor!!! there appeared to be a shortage of staff. only 1 member of staff serving at the pool bar so there was always a queue!! I would suggest stickers on the tables informing guests to clear the tables and place food plates etc in the bins provided. I would also suggest bigger bins as they were always overflowing!! The pool was advertised as heated which it certainly wasn't. The rooms were very clean and tidy. the lifts were very outdated and in need of repair!! it was survival of the fittest to get a sunbed! the roof terrace was a great place to sunbathe and was less noisy. The weather was amazing. The area around the Hotel is very hilly so not ideal if you struggle with steps and hills. Not many shops nearby. All in all it was very basic and i would rate as 2 star.
This is our second time at hotel ,rooms are very large very clean ,Staff always well dressed very polite and can’t do enough for you,Food is very good plenty of choice so always something for everybody, complex is very large with to areas to sit and relax we use the one at back of hotel which has a large oil but quite than the main one
Arrived here on Boxing Day evening. Check in was quick and easy. Room seemed ok on first impression, nice size room, small but basic kitchen and small modernish bathroom. Unfortunately it went down hill from there. Went to use the toilet and the flush was broken so I fixed this temporarily until I could report, I then went to put our valuables into the safe which cost 32 euros for a week and the door wouldn't lock so I then fixed this, now calling this a safe is a stretch as it reminded me if the small lockers we were given in school 30 years ago, one swift pull and I think it would open easily. I then went to have a shower before going out for food and the pressure was pathetic barely a trickle. So we managed to get ready and on the way out for food we told reception that the shower was faulty and the toilet needed fixing. Following day a guy came fiddled with the toilet and left (it still wasn't fixed). We went to the pool for the day which is nice but cold water. Came back to the room at approx. 3pm and we had no water at all, open the taps and nothing came out. Basically to cut this story down we had no water or a small trickle of water for the first 3 days we were there. Repeatedly reported to reception and was told they are not engineers with a shrug of their shoulders. Told Ceri the Tui rep and he is a complete waste of time as he is no help and then accuses me of being aggressive and unreasonable, the fact that we had no water for 3 days was of no concern of his. I eventually had the manager of the hotel to give us another room. Food was bland and basic, no kids section in main restaurant. This hotel has the potential to be good if some money was spent on it and some staff who actually care worked here. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
booked week over xmas with family 9 in total 6 adults 3 kids hotel is great for kids but thats it its very noisy the bar for enterainment is small cheap tables and chairs like being in school come 9 in morning no sunbeds towels on all food is not to bad but woudnt like stay longer than a week all in all if you have kids go otherwise stay away or go to a 4 star
Very basic hotel it's like faulty towers , wouldn't go in summer as just fan which is very noisy ,some people complaining not working at all , toilet work sometime same as showers , pool area clean but water very cold , life guard miserable no balls or Floats just rings , the hotel was full of rude French people . The food very basic not much choice no kids section and not hot , outside snack bar limited selection flies everywhere . The only good thing is it's in nice place and weather was amazing for time of year.
this hotel is probably the worst hotel I stayed in they say its 3 star, not my accomadation .went for a 11 days self catering absolutely shocking got to my room front door wouldn't open properly kitchen door hanging of sofa bed broke no plate in microwave work tops had been painted so paint was peeling off all cutlery was dirty no tee towels or dish clothes no dust pan and brush so basically couldn't self cater no probs so upgraded to all inclusive for 430 euros told everything in except Christmas dinner by receptionist Israel sounded ok. went to bar later and asked for baileys told had to pay then went to restaurant twice in 11 day stay food shocking stone cold,so used pool bar in day also cold unless you watched when he cooked chips and got in quick you could at least have something hot.it gets worse for six days of are stay had no water or no hot water reported it to receptionist Israel everytime. six times which meant going down 4 flights of stairs across complex up two flights of stairs all because phone also didn't work in room just to dismiss us Israel turn out to be as much use as a chocolate tea pot completely uninterested the worst I have encountered. cleaners were the worst I have ever had I think her name was stevie wonder because her cleaning was abysmal there where foot prints and mess left by technicians after putting a new water heater in which were still there when I left.sorry to go on a bit the complex was advertised as a quiet family resort in fact it was noisy inside and outside complex bottle banks and rubbish lorry empty bins all hours of day and night, nightclub and lap dancing club / brothel 200 yards away so some nights noise on and off throughout the night building work going on tile cutters and drilling from 8 am even Christmas day so generally no sleep young animation team mainly French I think they thought they were in Ibiza with club music pumping out by pool all day. entertainment was poor very French themed as a lot of French on complex only two bars on site pool bar only one person serving so long queues closed about 5.45 then there was another bar which was the entertainment area very noisy with lots of kids and very smokey entertainment very poor overall holiday was saved by the weather which was excellent I still managed to have a good time mainly outside of complex but I thought id let people know what my experience was some people may have been luckier than me I hope so.before anyone asks why didn't ask to be moved room I did and again Israel just dismissed it. thanks for reading hope you have a better experience than me.
This place is horrendous...!! Arrived on 27th December for one week as a package with Thomas Cook. The reception area is lovely, then it goes downhill from there on. Our room was number 121 and unfortunately for us underneath a staircase and where the entertainments speaker is located. The bathroom in the apartment was ok, shower nice and powerful and although we had a boiler in there the temperature of the water was hit and miss and showered in cold water more often than hot. Now the kitchenette...WoW, that was something else, damaged, dirty cupboard doors, plinths and work tops, chunks on wood missing, personally I wouldn't prepare my dogs dinner on there never mind food for myself or my family. The seal joining the work top and splash back had lifted and I can only imagine what germs were lurking in between. The living area where the sofa bed was located was ok, although the sofa bed was dirty (my 9 yo described the stains on the arm as looking like poo) it also had cigarette burns on it too and she refused to sleep on it, but I wouldn't have let her anyway. Now the bedroom, it wasn't great, beds were comfy, the light from the fan/light in the room was almost non existent very dark and dismal. The wardrobe has seen much better days and could do with some more coat hangers, there was also a cigarette burn in the top sheet and as the room gets NO sun, you may wake up shivering as it is very cold during the night, luckily we had the quilt which should have been for the sofa bed so we were ok. Towels were changed regularly but some were in really bad condition with rips and stains on, not acceptable regarding what star a hotel is. The whole of the apartment was painted in a mucky pale yellow colour and was really in need of a full refurbishment. Now, being located next to the entertainments speaker, we copped for very loud music and vocals from the entertainments team from 10am, this is after being woken up by the cleaning staff sweeping the staircase next to our apartment at 7.45-8 am every morning. Talking about noise, there were some very noisy drunks, shouting, swearing when walking back around the pool to their apartments at night. I cannot comment on the food and drink as I was S/C. Just one last thing, one day we had no water, on my way to ask why at reception work men were outside our room lifting the drain over which was full to the brim with sewage, there cockroaches running in every direction from the open drain. The man told me the water was off.....so we made a quick escape from our room while the blocked drain was sorted. When we returned hours later a truck pumping the sewage was situated outside our room, the stench in our room was absolutely disgusting, we had no apologies from the management for the disruption. Would I return, to the resort yes, but never again to this horrible hotel.
Arrived as self catering for 10days 12-21 December and upgraded to all inclusive for 1 week to see how things were. Food was ok but in the end it just tasted bland if I'm honest so we didn't extend AI. All the positives and negatives that everyone else has posted I agree with. It's a very weird set up but we made ourselves enjoy for the first week then the last few days went outside the hotel. Saw a fight with one couple which reception didn't have a clue how to deal with. Then I saw a woman verbally abuse one of the staff at reception so was shocked at that. Someone actually fell down the steps and was taking to hospital and we heard this had happened before. It did start out as a cheapy holiday that we were willing to overlook the drabness and basic state of the room, but with the safe cost & wifi per day it was shaping up to be quite expensive and I was wishing I'd paid for something better. Staff were accommodating but not overly welcoming. The barmen & the pool chef were lovely although I found the security men quite strange. I think they had to bring extra staff in so perhaps that was the reason. It can get quite crazy in the evenings with only 1 bar in the hotel which was strange. Our room was right above the night bar but everything stopped at midnight and if we went to bed early we couldn't really hear much as the bedroom faced the street. You can also hear the live music up the hill at Route 66 which we visited and enjoyed. If you want quiet this is not the place. It needs upgraded which they are working on so we didn't really complain when the door fell of one of the kitchen cupboards (they had it fixed while we went to dinner) or the breakfast bar in the room was so wobbly we didn't want to use, or the toilet cistern flush was broken but useable. The area is stunning looking at Los Gigantes but it got boring very quick so we took trips out. Animation team worked great with the kids and some good shows, the best being the acrobats (2 girls 2 guys) the worst was The Beatles tribute, the supposed John Lennon was bluffing on guitar and created a bit of laughing and shock from people. The team also tried their best by the pool but it did seem like one big party for themselves. Would I go back, sorry no. For the amount I ended up paying I could get something far better.
We arrived at noon so we had to wait for our room for two hours. Nevertheless, it wasn't cleaned that well. We had a room with 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette. The room was quite clean, and we saw only few cockroaches in our two-week visit. Cleaning staff were friendly and quick at their work. Our apartment had a ceiling fan in every room that we didn't dare to use as they were quite wobbly. Our room was near the bigger pool. First we thought that it was horrible because the music was so loud at the pool. But usually we were away during the day and at night the area were quite peaceful. We felt lucky because the small pool had all of the nighttime entertainment and noise. Well, in front of our room were the garbage containers which were emptied during the night which was a bit annoying. The rooms had doorbells. Kids were ringing the doorbells at day and night. We tried to remove the doorbell but didn't succeed. It is very expensive to rent the safety box and wifi, safety box 32€/week plus deposit and wifi 25€/week. Yes, the pool chairs are reserved first thing in the morning, really don't know why. We felt that there were enough for everybody. We didn't spend much time at the pool, because the music was so loud and the area was quite dirty because people didn't use the garbage bins. We had all inclusive. The food was quite average and bland. There were lot of choices but everything was overcooked. Sometimes food had to be thrown into microwave to heat it. There were usually chicken, beef, pork and fish with sides as fries, potatoes or beans. Small salad bar and daily soup. The pool bar had hod dogs, burgers, nachos, fruits, bread and paella etc. Overall the food was okay, but after two weeks it's understandable that it's not so appealing anymore. We are quite athletic so it was fun that there are lot of hills and stairs nearby. We enjoyed our visit, but the hotel and the location were not for us.
