The Days Inn Hotel in Tell City is not a high class hotel but it is definitely well worth the expense as opposed to other hotels in the area. The staff was extremely nice. I am a local here and I had my girlfriend stay in the hotel. The room I was booked for was upgraded to a 2 bed because the air conditioner was out in the old room. Graciously and quickly I was upgraded. I was very very pleased to that. The room is a little old. It could use a little updating like the TV. Also another thing is the wifi was a bit hectic, but if they ever see this it should be an easy fix. Tell city has many things to offer that are scenic, such as the Ohio river, eagles bluff, plenty of restaurants. I will say that some of the locals here kind of hang around in this area so the hotel kind of gets a bad reputation. I know that from personal experience and being a person who actually stayed in the hotel it isn't as bad as what they say. The hotel might not have everything you need, but the customer service is extremely nice and well mannered. It is something you would expect from a small town.

For the price I had to pay for this room you would think it would be better. I've stayed in more inexpensive hotels that looked better. Also wasn't aware that our room would be right next to a bar entrance where they were making noise most of the night. It would have also been nice to be notified that the main road to Holiday World was closed. Took us over an hour to find the hotel.

the rooms are old not very sound proof a lot of people staying for long periods of time making lots of noise. Hotel guest shocking fireworks in the parking lot. I had to leave a day early and they couldn't refund the last day.

We book 3 rooms for 2 nights. My room smelled of pipe tobacco smoke ( supposed to be non smoking) switch rooms that had no towels, the floor was dirty. My nephew found a knife with a red substance on the edge. Staff didn't seem too concerned when we took it to the front desk. It was found while searching for my nephew's stolen nintendo 3 ds. It was stolen while we were at holiday world. The staff member that clean the room quit that day. Another room toilet overflowed. The pool was overly chlorinated. I lost my vision for two days. Days inn should not be affiliated with this hotel.

Well, it wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed in, but it was far from the best. Aside from the drunks in the pool and a drunk outside the Mexican Restaurant and Cantina which is onsite but not shown in the picture, no microwave in the room as listed in the room description and a big spider in the creepy door-less closet, it wasn't that bad. The night desk lady was very friendly and helpful although kind of silly and strange (which we like actually) however, the two morning ladies (if you don't mind my using the term ladies rather loosely) were not friendly. We didn't mind the gnat in the apple juice really, but the blonde non smiling woman at the desk said that she has seen those "black things" in the juice before and said it wasn't bugs. If it's not bugs then what is it and why was it doing the backstroke? The cleaning staff is doing a fantastic job considering they have an old building to work with and apparently no bottom sheets for the beds which were fairly comfortable. Days Inn needs to revamp the entire place; new carpeting, new bathtubs, doors on the closets, complete sheet sets, vacuum the dirt from the bottom of the pool and train the day staff to be friendly and helpful like the night staff and then they'll have a nice place.

Went to holiday world. would not recommend this motel to anyone. The people were friendly, but it took them 2days to fix the toilet seat that was broke. also,we told that the one room was going to have a quenn or king size bed in it;it was two double beds. I paid for a queen or king size bed. You need to send me the extra money i paid. I am a traveling agent, and will not recommend people going to your site.

They have a friendly staff and were very helpful. Great location. Stores and restaraunts were close. They had a pool but we didn't get a chance to get in it. The rooms were clean but flies kept getting in. Overall, it was a good place.

We actually could not end up staying due to the way we found the overall hotel. Our room smelled of smoke and musty. IT was so dirty we could not stay. IT is obviously not run by the days inn chain as we have stayed in some that were nice.

We rented 7 rooms. One or the rooms was very close to the bar, that features live entertainment until 2 am. Nothing like have drunk right outside you door. 2 of the rooms, the doors had been kicked in, one of the doors, had NO Lock on the door. The other had a chain lock, but the door was very loose. It had been replaced, and was to small. They didn't even paint were the old hinges were. The bathroom grout had mold on it and was not cleaned very well at all. It looked like the ceiling had a leak at one time and was sagging very badly. The other 5 rooms were ok. 1 of the rooms had dog hair in the coner, were they didn't vaccum. Upon checking out the were 4 other customers in their demanding their money back. Which didn't happen.

The room was adequate. The night clerk was exceptional ([...]). Room was clean except in corners and tub with hair left from last guest. It was a okay stay.

We stayed one night prior to our Holiday World experience. For what we needed the Hotel was fine. We didn't need anything more than a bed and a bath. So keep that in mind when considering.

The hotel smelled,it was dirty, nothing worked and the entire room flooded. I would never stay here again.

The rooms were kept clean. The staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend this if you want to be on a budget. The pool was clean.

we ate at the restraunt next door very nice place. yes it needs fixed up. we did not stay our two days. we left early from our stay. flys in room and the toilet would not flush and the shower needed work on it too. this was not a good stay.

This was the worst Days Inn we have ever stayed at. Carpet in the room filthy dirty. Bed spreads had dark brown stains on them could not use them. Bathroom dirty just pacthed holes in walls did not paint. Towel bars missing could tell where they went but not there. Beds did not have fitted sheets they used top sheet and they would not stay tucked in. there was tons of flies, spiders, and ants. front dest just replied nothing we can do. If my family could have left without lossing our money you can bet we would have. I will be sending corporate a letter about this also. would never stay here again.

We had a great nights stay. You couldn't beat the hotel for the price we paid. The room was clean, the air condition worked, the bathroom was big and very clean. There were restaurants close by and a Super Walmart less than a mile away. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. If we ever visit Holiday World again, we would stay at the Days Inn in Tell City, IN again for sure.

We were very concern about the prior reviews. With economics a very big concern we figured we would empty out the room each morning and since we were only going to be there to sleep we would make it work. We arrived early the first day and found it to be very clean and the pool was in great shape. The staff was great and very quick we we needed something. I didn't look at the dates of the prior reviews maybe they were old. There were many about 11 restaurants in the immediate vicinity, some fast food some traditional sit-down. We had a great time. It wasn't the Marriot but for a Days Inn it was great!! We plan on returning next year for our next trip to Holiday World.

It did have a map on how to get to Holiday World which was only 15 minutes away.

Well the rooms were dirty but tolerable, the internet was super fast and water pressure was good, just needs to be clean. Oh and the pool wasn't open... So if your looking for a one night shot and don't plan on staying, this is ok, though if your a clean freak or want to stay for a while I would probably pick another spot!
