We had a really nice stay. It is a decent hotel, a little bit old and most importantly it is super clean. I strongly recommend this hotel especially if you are going to the Sheba Medical center. The hotel’s entrance is exactly opposite of the entrance to the first aid department. As soon as you are coming out of the hotel you can find a small mall with a supermarket, pharmacy and different choices of food. There are also some small shops with shoes, clothes, toys, e.t.c. The receptionists were more than helpful, always smilling and willing to offer their help. Thank you every one for making these difficult days something to remember and something to warm our hearts.
stay there only if you are visiting sheba hospital. it is conviniently located right next to the main entrance of the hospital. rooms are very basic. bathroom has no soap no shampoo. clean place but just basic
I stayed at Hotel Apropo while attending a conference in Tel Aviv. I was a last-minute guest and no hotel rooms in the city could be secured for me on short notice. The organizers found me a room at the visitors hotel for Tel Hashomer Hospital. The hotel building is on hospital property, just steps away from the main lobby. Apropo is a 15-minute cab ride from Ben Gurion Airport. It’s also just a 5-minute ride from Bar-Ilan University. This 2-level building is clean and simple. There was only one person at the check-in desk during my arrival (and throughout my stay). I was assigned a room on the second floor. The wing I stayed in was seemingly empty The room was clean and basic. Two double-beds, a decent sized closet, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a small shower. The refrigerator came in handy. A grocery store downstairs in the shopping mall sold bottled water, juice and deli meats. The mall between the hospital and the hotel features a Kosher McDonalds restaurant and a shawarma sandwich shop, mostly frequented by the hospital visitors. It offers convenient meal options until 9pm. Hotel Apropo offers guests free breakfast on the 2nd floor lobby each morning. Primarily they provide juice, cheese, fruit, bread, butter and jam. It’s basic, but I was thankful to have a quick bite each morning before leaving for my conference. A bus station is a short walk from the hotel entrance. There is also a large circle of taxis that wait in front of the hospital. Transportation options are plentiful. All-in-all this is a clean, convenient, no-frills hotel that worked out as a decent last-minute option in the Tel-Aviv area.
This hotel is tired, shabby and was very difficult to find for a taxi driver being in the middle of a hospital complex. It is OK for visiting sick relatives cheaply but is not an impressive place for a tourist.
Room rate was cheap except in respect to value received. Rooms were almost clean. Service was mediocre at best. Management was un-understanding and ineffectual. Old facility poorly maintained. Gum sticking to elevator hand rails. Grimy film on tile surrounding bathroom door. Paint peeling off of door jam in bathroom. Breakfast was nothing special, lacking in imagination both in execution and planning.
This is not a vacation option Hotel. Only considered it because it's located in the Hospital. Place is a little old an falling into disrepair. Our room was adequate but was overdue for refreshing and a paint job. Furniture is old. At 500 NIS per night for a double, I would have expected more. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. WiFi didn't work in the room. Breakfast was minimal, but just downstairs there's an Aroma Cafe, a restaurant and food court. The only plus this place has is that it's connected to the hospital. Would stay there again if the need arose.
do you want to be next to the hospital? near the hospital? this is in the hospital and next to a supermarket and fast food restaurant. it is the best location you could find and a decent not so expensive hotel.
Booked there because needed to be near hospital. The place was filthy, shabby, smelly and very expensive. Saw rooms and decided the hotel was too seedy to stay in. Black gunk and rust on shower floor with broken tiles. Filthy curtains with holes and stains hanging off from the rails. Thick black grime all around the air vents.Filthy carpets and bed covering that stunk. Peeling walls. chipped stained Formica furniture. Too too awful. Told desk we would not stay after seeing room but they would not give us our money back. Explained we did not cancel nor did we not show up. We came to the hotel but it was sub standard and they still would not refund our money. Receptionist would not let us speak to manager and got very rude, After two days fighting with them they still refuse to put us in contact with manger. Don't touch the place! We went to another hotel nearby which was the same price and it was a lovely 5 star hotel (Kfar Habacabia.) Apropos is a rip off.
The hotel is located in the centre of the complex of hospitals, and, as I suppose, is used mainly by those, who have a kind of business there (i.e. families of patients or something like that). Together with my colleague, we booked this hotel for 1 night, as this was the most convenient for us. Unfortunately, this was not the best experience of all my journeys so far. Taxi driver at the airport did not know the location of the hotel (I had to show him on the map), the price was rather high, while the standard was low. The room was extremely simple, with rather not the most outstanding design. So was the breakfast.
Staff was absent when we arrived on time, and didn't answer phone calls or desk bell. We had to wander up the elevator to find someone on another floor after 10 minutes. Parking and wifi were both PAY ONLY. Parking was far from hotel entrance. Hotel price was VERY HIGH for value received! Breakfast was a sorry sight. Restaurants in the complex were fine but nothing special and closed early. We chose this place because it appeared to be the closest to Ben Gurion Airport, but it was so boring, overpriced, and uninspiring that we would have been better off in Tel Aviv. Worst place we stayed on a 10 day trip to Israel! Only stay here if you are visiting someone who is staying in the hospital as it is not a hotel and is more of a dormitory.
