We paid NTD9000 for a room they called junior suite but it is worse than most basic room of any 4 star properties. The room is small and beddings so basic that there is not even an extra pillow around. Breakfast was poor as well. Despite the location and cheerful front desk staff and helpful housekeeping staff, I would not recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay Taoyuan.
Our room was small and dirty. They claim they’re renovating, but at least they could vacuum the carpet and replace the mat and chair covered with black mold. The location is not conducive to easy sightseeing. It was about 30 minutes from the airport and 60 minutes from major sites in Taipei and the main train station. The breakfast was adequate, but not well done—Tang instead of juice, skin on the warm milk, cold potatoes. At least no fleas or cockroaches.
Pretty old hotel, all the equipements here are quite out dated. Breakfast is just terrible, not only the food quality but also the service. The staff looks not happy working here. The room is poorly equiped. I dont think I will stay in this hotel again. I rather choose a smaller hotel but newer, trendy design for more comfortable stay. Plus point is that they provide a self laundry machine on top floor so if you stay for long period, you can save the laundry expense. Only 50 cents for washing machine and another 50cents for dryer.
The room was clean and nice, very spacious and clean! Everything was tidy and the room didn’t smell bad or mouldy. The staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend this hotel and come back here for a new stay.
It was said to be a nice hotel and i got a reservation there as it was close to my business meeting next day and I wanted to avoid an "airport hotel". People at the front desk were very friendly and room was clean. Anyway I felt isolation from room to room was poor, and gym was too small; we were only two people at the gym and the atmosphere was too heavy.
Location of the hotel is practical however the hotel itself is stuck in the 70's, with old carpets (that smell musty when you first enter the room) and old fittings. The windows don't fully close so it was loud in the room and mosquitoes came in. WifI was OK but there were very few electrical sockets in the room to charge devices. Staff were friendly, although their English wasn't so good. Breakfast was OK
I have been to this hotel plenty of times. The bed was ok but the lighting is always dim. And one time there was some visitors coming from Mainland I believe they walked and talked loud with doors banging. If you want to sleep in in the morning maybe not very good at noise resistant function. But now the nearby already has plenty local foodies/market/supermarket/hotpot once you turn right out of hotel entrance. Ask concierge for a map highlighted the necessity nearby. If you walk 15 mins, you may take local bus to Taipei city center about 40-45 mins.
On a recent visit to Taiwan for business, I was directed to the Fullon Hotel in Taoyuan City, southwest of Taipei. I had business with a company nearby. I arrived late in the evening and was met with a cheerful welcome from the two women in reception. I was in my room within 8 minutes of walking in the door, along with my baggage which was transported by a bell man. The room was roomy and comfortable and impeccably clean and fresh. Two bottles of water were there for my enjoyment plus a plate with Orange, Kiwi and apple. There were plenty of outlets for my collection of electronics. Internet was fast and included in the room rate. But most importantly was the bed. I fell into bed after more than 24 hours of no sleep. Whether it was the lack of sleep or the comfortable bed, I fell into a deep slumber that lasted a good 7 hours. Breakfast was included in the room and was -well funky. There were all the western favorites from the US and Europe including eggs, waffles, cold cuts and cheese, croissants, toast and jam. There was also yogurt and cereal. But there was a hot buffet full of Chinese traditional hot food that I would have trouble describing. But I'll try. Soups, Dumplings, steamed vegetables, pot stickers, pasta, rice. There was a noodle bar where the y prepare fresh noodles with a variety of toppings. Coffee, juice and cakes were also available. One could eat here and not eat for the rest of the day. Checkout was simple and as efficient and friendly as check in. The hotel is located in the central business district (which seems to surround the entire coast!). Lots of shops around including a 7-11 for that nighttime snack. This was a very positive experience and I will come back on my next visit to Taoyuan
Had a recent stay there for 3 nights. The hotel has great accessibly to major transportation hubs like the airport and the Taoyuan train station. Rooms are a bit old but spacious, all necessary amenities are well equipped. Staffs there are extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay again if I'm going back next time!
We checked in after a long flight but the woman behind the desk said we have to go for lunch as rooms are ready only in 30 min. After discussion she said there are rooms available if we pay half the room rate. Half the room rate for 30 min?? Wow, not the first time here, but certainly the last
