It was very nice and simple. No problems at all. Nice neighborhood.
The hotel is quaint, had ample parking and the rooms were very clean. The bathroom was recently renovated with all new fixtures including a large shower which features a rain shower head. The room had a kitchen with all appliances provided and though a little small was a great place to stay for its price point The hotels location is also within walking distance to restaurants and shopping which we took advantage regularly If you want a comfortable stay for the night without all the big box hotels $$ $ expenses stay here. I will again and use those savings for a few cocktails and a nice meal
It’s not a bad hotel but I thought it is more like a B & B.
The location is great with stores, restaurants and lovely neighborhoods. The room is hard to maneuver with the beds taking up all the space. Bathroom needs repair with grout and caulking and the entire room could use some cleaning in spots as well as fresh paint. It is in a quiet location and the beds are comfortable. There is no sitting area in the foyer and the office hours are limited and the person in charge nice but very slow checking people in, etc.
Hot; inconvenient; outdated; grim. Sketchy neighborhood.
When we arrived there was no staff there to help us. The halls were dirty. As soon as we walked into our room it smelt horrible, I said it was a musty/moldy smell but my husband thought it smelt like pee. When I inspected the bed I found hair on the pillow and in the sheets. There were also questionable smudges of some sorta brown stuff on the walls. and the shower curtin was pink and molded on the bottom. Needless to say we left and went else where. Now I am just working to get my $150 back that I paid for the reservation.
When in Tampa, I'll be staying at the Hyde Park Hotel. An older, classic hotel built from somewhere between 1920 and 1940 (I think). The building has been fully restored with the most recent amenities. In a superior location for world famous Bern's Steakhouse and various hangouts and restaurants on Howard, which intersects with Bristol, the Hyde Park Hotel street. A classic florescent hotel sign. Even with a "vacancy / no vacancy" as part of the the florescent sign.
A step back in time. Comfortable, inexpensive and within walking distance to SoHo nightlife.
The room was small and crowded with furniture. The conditions of the room were poor. Everything was old or broken. Bed was u comfortable. It was a mattress on a piece of plywood.
I really wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and other folks at the convention. Uber made it a short trip to the Convention Center. It was lovely feeling like I could enjoy the stay without being around crowds.
reasonably priced hotel. Clean, friendly staff, walk to good restaurants, five minutes to the convention center.
I had a great time here. The rooms are mini apartments and very comfortable. There are great restaurants and bars close by and the bay is also a short walk. The beaches are further, but by no means hard to get to. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff isn't always personally available, but they do have a way to contact a staff member if no one is physically there.
The hotel is in a very safe part of town and is walking distance to the shops in Hyde Park and is also right off of Howard avenue which has very good restaurants and bars. Overall the hotel was very unique and comfortable and my boyfriend and I had a great experience.
They overbooked this hotel and as a result I was turned away
Why is the front desk upstairs and called the office? No elevator. Had to drag my suite case up stairs to check in then back down to my room. The room door used a regular dead bolt key. Going in the room I had to turn my small carry on sideways between the corner of the bed and the door frame to get into the room. The room was something from the 1950s. The two queen size beds took up about 90 percent of the room and were about 18" apart.
Located in Hyde Park within a short walk of Tampa Bay, Hyde Park Hotel is within 2 miles (3 km) of other popular sights such as Tampa Riverwalk. The 24 rooms at this hotel include kitchens, refrigerators, and microwaves.
The 24 individually decorated rooms feature kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves, and stovetops. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and 55-inch Smart TVs with cable channels and DVD players. Memory foam beds sport premium bedding and down comforters, and bathrooms offer free toiletries. Coffee makers and desks are other standard amenities.
A local mainstay since 1925, Hyde Park Hotel offers free WiFi in public areas, a computer station, and express check-in. Free parking is included with your stay. Front-desk staff can help with luggage storage, and provide local restaurant recommendations. Other amenities at this adults-only hotel include express check-out and laundry facilities.
It was very nice and simple. No problems at all. Nice neighborhood.

I'm not sure what you are looking for, in terms of convince? We are remodeling the rooms, which takes awhile, but the rooms are maintained and clean. As for the neighborhood, we are in Hyde Park, which is one of the best neighborhoods in Tampa, within walking distance to several restaurants, shops and others things of interest.
