Hyde Park Hotel

I really wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and other folks at the convention. Uber made it a short trip to the Convention Center. It was lovely feeling like I could enjoy the stay without being around crowds.

reasonably priced hotel. Clean, friendly staff, walk to good restaurants, five minutes to the convention center.

I had a great time here. The rooms are mini apartments and very comfortable. There are great restaurants and bars close by and the bay is also a short walk. The beaches are further, but by no means hard to get to. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff isn't always personally available, but they do have a way to contact a staff member if no one is physically there.

The hotel is in a very safe part of town and is walking distance to the shops in Hyde Park and is also right off of Howard avenue which has very good restaurants and bars. Overall the hotel was very unique and comfortable and my boyfriend and I had a great experience.

They overbooked this hotel and as a result I was turned away

Why is the front desk upstairs and called the office? No elevator. Had to drag my suite case up stairs to check in then back down to my room. The room door used a regular dead bolt key. Going in the room I had to turn my small carry on sideways between the corner of the bed and the door frame to get into the room. The room was something from the 1950s. The two queen size beds took up about 90 percent of the room and were about 18" apart.

If you want to stay in Hyde Park, this location is ideal. You can walk to Hyde Park Village as well as many bars and restaurants. The hotel is very old but they have made some updates to make it quaint and comfortable. The bed was very comfy however the shower had barely enough pressure to rinse my hair. Staff was friendly.

Room was a bit small, but didn't spend much time in there anyway. It did however have a stove and microwave w/ pots, pans, plates, and silverware which was convenient. The location was within walking distance to almost everything (restaurants, bars, starbucks, CVS, and much more) We also got to walk to a nearby farmers market on Sunday.

If you're looking for a cheap room in a great part of town, this isn't a bad option. However, it's a very bizarre property. It's certainly not a traditional hotel with a front desk or other amenities. It's basically a boarding house with efficiency rooms. There was a kitchen with stove and refrigerator (but no microwave). There are window air conditioner units, though they are blocked by the beds. There wasn't much space to move around in after they'd crammed 2 full beds into the room. Overall it was very cramped and dated. It was, at least, clean. I'm not sure if I'd stay there again, considering other hotels in the area.

Was the first time I actually was chased out of a hotel and slept in the car do to the noise from the next room. Apparently a Bachelor Party going on. Probably would have been ok but with no Hotel staff on duty to take action we left. We did call the emergency number posted on the door, but all we got was an answering machine. They did say they would refund our first night, but not sure that has happened yet since it was booked here and paid up front with my daughter's credit card.

Work brings me to the Tampa area, and I am so thriled to have found The Hyde Park Hotel. The location is perfect, and quite honestly, the bed was more comfortable than my own at home. The room I was in, was more like an apartment, with a fully equiped little kitchen. I fell in love with the Hyde Park area. Everything you could want is within walking distance. I hated to go to work the next morning.

The only place in South Tampa you can stay and still walk to the bars and restaurants. Clean and convenient at a very good price.

We checked in and the room was the honeymoon suite we just wanted a king bed. We were by the 2 entrances and I asked for a room that was farther back and was told they didn't have anything else. As expected everyone comming in and out we heard until 11pm. The other issue was there was no remote for the TV and it when I asked was given a wierd look by the female staff. No decent chairs in the "suite" The room had very bright overhead lighting. Would never stay there again. Oh the business center had a computer that shut itself off and the vesion was windows 2000 not up to date software. so

The bed was comfy. This is an old apartment complex turned into a hotel. Perfect getaway with lots of walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Reminded me of a mini local hang out spot. Off the beaten path.

Very nice hotel, clean. Good location. Very comfortable beds.

It feels like a B&B sort of. It's a renovated apartment building. You get private rooms each with their own bathroom. Ryan (front desk) was nice and helpful. The kitchen in each room is small, as expected at this price, but comes with the essentials. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The linens were new and high thread count. Definitely recommend.

we travel alot and this tops it beautiful with everything needed in it!

I travel alot and have stayed in alot of hotels and this one is by one of the BEST one YET <3 thank you so much for everything.Clean and it has everything you need !!! <3

Great value. Awesome location. No office staff at times was not an issue. Its easy. I'll be back.

Perfect place to spend the night, nothing special but exactly what we needed
