Do not, under any circumstance, stay here. Worst hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune of staying in, and I’ve stayed in thousands.

Close to food and shopping. Raymond James Stadium is within a 10 minute walk also.

The service was the most terrible I have ever had at any hotel . I have stayed in hotels for many many many years. There was a bucket full of mold and mildew right outside the air conditioner they never cleaned. The carpet look like someone puked on it the room had a disgusting smell and I took three showers since leaving that place within a 4-Hour period to get clean. The breakfast was so disgusting it was cold bagels and three smelly eggs. I would rather sleep in my car then spend another minute at that hotel the smell of pot was everywhere.

Towels were so stiff. Washing my face felt terrible.

This is a simple, cheap room to attend an event at Raymond James Stadium or Steinbrenner Field. SoHo and downtown Tampa are about fives miles away. Plenty of choices, a Starbucks and Chipotle are right next door. Cigar City Brewing is across the street. The stadiums are about a mile away. Outside of walking, the only place I usually drive to is Gourmet Pizza Company which has great vegan and carnivore food.

chair was dirty, carpet was dirty, non smoking room had cigarette burn hole in bedspread. Just totally needed re-done.. Our friends had room next door and when they checked in late afternoon they asked for extra pillow. They were told they didn't have any and laundry was closed.

Breakfast was disappointing - not many options. Appreciate the early hours (5:30) but would have liked it to run til 10am like most hotels I appreciated the handicapped accessible room (for the commode) - but why was it SO FAR AWAY from the office? In most facilities, the handicapped accessible room is close to services (office, pool, gym, etc) Location was convenient for the airport. Rooms were dark and uninviting. No sheer curtains to let light in yet keep your privacy. Appreciated the refrigerator. Air conditioner was not very effective - I had to keep lowering the temperature to keep the room comfortable

Place smells. Everything in the room smells. Bed is not at all comfy. AC is super loud. Lights are dim. You can hear the other residents, even from other floors. Just an awful experice and at 89/night an outrageous price.

I was in a smoking room and I know that those room aren't kept to the same standards as the non-smoking rooms, because of the possibility of room damage due to smoking and the people that request those rooms. I myself is a very clean and careful guess but it's not the same with a lot of the other guest.

The place is a dump. I sank into the bed like it was a dinosaur tar pit. I imagine the mattress is as old as the hotel itself. It probably qualifies as an antique. I should have known better based on the comments but I had made the reservation for only one night and I figured I would survive. There will be no next time.

Was given smoking room and told I could not change to no smoking on check in as I got room on Orbitz. Despite the parking lot being half empty could not get a non smoking room during my 3 day stay. Dead bolt screws were coming out of wall, toilet leaked, tub faucet dripped, lamp in room broke, carpet never vacuumed during stay, spider in bathtub, door did not open and close without struggle!

The hot water did not work well resulting in an Un wanted cold shower

I like to stay at Howard Johnson motels, very dependable. This one, however, has seen better days. Old and tired, it needs a facelift. Our room door was so sticky, we thought it was still locked. The desk clerk told me where to find an ice machine--it was out of ice. The clerk was not surprised or concerned. She then directed me to another one three doors beyond, which I could not find. When I told her that, she insisted it was there. I looked again and could only find the one without ice. I did find the next one she directed me to, which was about 100 yards away. The next door room guests having a great time until after midnight did not enhance our experience.

Upon our early arrival, the staff went above and beyond to get our rooms ready, this made the trip stress free

There are better options for the same price. Very noisy a/c. Room need restoration

Room was smelly and the door was proped wide open on arrival.

We had a smoking room and it smelled of smoke very bad. The comforters had cigarette burns. Our friends in another room was non-smoking and it was clean. Also, it's next to about 3 strip clubs. There's pros and cons to that. Don't bother getting ice at the hotel, buy it and bring it. Staff was nice.

Shower head covered in calcium deposits and clogged up. Tub was old and unclean with water still on the spout, as if it was just used. Filthy vent hanging from ceiling. Broken TV, dirty full length mirror, broken drawers in bureau, stains on blankets, walls with scuff marks, room in bad shape. Bed uncomfortable but good pillows. Asked front desk Manager for a $20 discount for terrible bedroom, but was told I paid in full online, that no discount is available. Will not return.
