Howard Johnson - Tampa Airport

Bed clean: clean sheets, clean towels all readily available. Room temperature comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Walking up to a "night window" felt awkward as opposed to walking in the lobby. Bathroom was cleaned, yet unsturdy toilet and tiles in floor. Water temperature and pressure excellent. Breakfast was underwhelming. It was more of a Continental breakfast: hard boiled eggs, and a lot of bread goods. Fruit, juices and coffee.

One night stay in late out early no comment not here that long

Had a window smashed out in the room next to me and a party all night . Called and complained nothing was done said it was spring break and they cant handle the parties , if you can handle the parties that is not my fault I paid to get a good night's sleep and was unable to . Was unable to sleep most of the night and all I was offered was more time to sleep or 25% refund ? WHAT KIND OF AN ESTABLISHMENT WOULD DO THIS AND NOT GIVE BACK A FULL REFUND AND SAY "YOUR SORRY" FOR WHAT HAPPEND , NOT GIVE EXCUSES. I DIDN'T PAY FOR EXCUSES I PAIDED TO SLEEP !!!

Hotel was very substandard. Disgusting, outdated, damaged, dirty, unchanged linens. And so much more.

It is a cheap old motel and looks it. Carpet in room was old and stained. . Door had been damaged and was hard to shut. Bath/shower was cracked. The staff was pleasant. Airport shuttle was free. The breakfast area was the best looking part of the place and it was fair but clean. The only hot food was toast and a hard boiled egg.

Furniture looked like it was reclaimed from the trash. Bed had no center it was like sleeping on the edge of a hole

Excellent place to vacation, convention and work trip

I chose this hotel for its price. No frills, no bonus this or that. It was perfect for what I wanted. We had good, clean, comfortable beds. That was all I wanted. I don't like paying for things I don't need or want, and this perfectly fit the bill.

Room was very small and basic but served our purpose for one night. Was clean.

Do not, under any circumstance, stay here. Worst hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune of staying in, and I’ve stayed in thousands.

Close to food and shopping. Raymond James Stadium is within a 10 minute walk also.

The service was the most terrible I have ever had at any hotel . I have stayed in hotels for many many many years. There was a bucket full of mold and mildew right outside the air conditioner they never cleaned. The carpet look like someone puked on it the room had a disgusting smell and I took three showers since leaving that place within a 4-Hour period to get clean. The breakfast was so disgusting it was cold bagels and three smelly eggs. I would rather sleep in my car then spend another minute at that hotel the smell of pot was everywhere.

Towels were so stiff. Washing my face felt terrible.

This is a simple, cheap room to attend an event at Raymond James Stadium or Steinbrenner Field. SoHo and downtown Tampa are about fives miles away. Plenty of choices, a Starbucks and Chipotle are right next door. Cigar City Brewing is across the street. The stadiums are about a mile away. Outside of walking, the only place I usually drive to is Gourmet Pizza Company which has great vegan and carnivore food.

chair was dirty, carpet was dirty, non smoking room had cigarette burn hole in bedspread. Just totally needed re-done.. Our friends had room next door and when they checked in late afternoon they asked for extra pillow. They were told they didn't have any and laundry was closed.

Breakfast was disappointing - not many options. Appreciate the early hours (5:30) but would have liked it to run til 10am like most hotels I appreciated the handicapped accessible room (for the commode) - but why was it SO FAR AWAY from the office? In most facilities, the handicapped accessible room is close to services (office, pool, gym, etc) Location was convenient for the airport. Rooms were dark and uninviting. No sheer curtains to let light in yet keep your privacy. Appreciated the refrigerator. Air conditioner was not very effective - I had to keep lowering the temperature to keep the room comfortable

Place smells. Everything in the room smells. Bed is not at all comfy. AC is super loud. Lights are dim. You can hear the other residents, even from other floors. Just an awful experice and at 89/night an outrageous price.

I was in a smoking room and I know that those room aren't kept to the same standards as the non-smoking rooms, because of the possibility of room damage due to smoking and the people that request those rooms. I myself is a very clean and careful guess but it's not the same with a lot of the other guest.

The place is a dump. I sank into the bed like it was a dinosaur tar pit. I imagine the mattress is as old as the hotel itself. It probably qualifies as an antique. I should have known better based on the comments but I had made the reservation for only one night and I figured I would survive. There will be no next time.
