Great local

Wonderful services; friendly staff; cleanliness; good location close to station; great breakfast; last but not the least, the sauna and hot bath

The facility is less than 5 minutes walk from Takayama Station. Very convenient when leaving and picking up our luggage after a day trip elsewhere. It’s a popular hotel with lots of guest from everywhere, so we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes in the lobby for breakfast seating. During dinner time, the entire dining room was full of smoke because almost every table was grilling their Hida beef. The private hot springs are nice and nice view.

A very nice choice for a one night stay in Takayama. One long block from JR Takayama Station but it’s an easy stroll especially in Winter. Front desk staff friendly and informative. Hotel staff present to help navigate how to store shoes before heading to room. Nice older man helped us to secure luggage before room is ready so we can head out to explore town. Room is large for Japan hotel standards. Love the futon bed. Too tired to take advantage of free ramen at 10:00 pm. Lobby a bit crowded due to marketing of Made in Takayama products throughout lobby. Still manageable though and not a put off as it helped us get an idea of what’s available to bring back as little gifts for family and friends. Haven’t had breakfast yet. A definite winner if you’re heading to Takayama.

I had initially thought that I was booking into a modern hotel that had some kind of hot spring; it didn't sound all that exciting since it was just a place to sleep. Little did I know that what I got was a huge pleasant surprise in terms of accommodations. Almost the entire flooring was tatami style, and the bed was extremely comfortable. (I was also very fortunate to have a room near the top facing the snow covered mountains.) The hot spring is fabulous. Located on the top floor, the views are extraordinary (plus, there's an outdoor bath). The food is excellent. Their breakfast selection is abundant, and tasty. Dinner is interesting: they have a buffet of various foods (tempura, rice, soup, etc.), and they serve you different main courses each night (such as grilled hide beef, and the shabu-shabu). Hotel staff is very pleasant.

Traditional Japanese hotel with private bathroom. Beautiful and very comfortable.
