Stayed in holiday inn for 1 night, average stay. Breakfast was supposed to be ready by 6am, but at 6am most of the items were it ready yet. Fortunately there is a 7-11 nearby and we got our breakfast there. Hotel interior rooms looked quite run- down, but were still functioning. Price wise it is quite reasonable for a budget stay.
Please allow me to commend, Finn. He assures to go out of his way to give hos guests memorable experience. Ilfinn is sich an asset to the company. He should be on higher position as he gives only the best!
This is my second time staying in this hotel, compared to 4 years ago they have lots of improvement on customer service and staffs are more professional I can say, well done! Even with typhoon when we arrive they are willing to arrange shuttle to the city for us and arrange an adhoc trip to pick us up due to bad weather. Really appreciate. The hotel is old but very well maintain, deluxe room come with an additional single bed at the work desk area. Hotel complimentary shuttle is very punctual and it really save us a lot of cost for travelling to/from city to hotel.
I booked the hotel through their official web site and the process was smooth. The lobby was huge but no seats or sofas were there. Well, there was no waiting at the check-in, and the staff members were friendly. The hotel is supposed to be a non-smoking facility, but there was a notable smell of smoking in our room. The previous guest must have used the soap dish as an ash tray (we found the trace). I reported to the lobby and they managed to "clean" the smell while we were out to Shenkeng Old Street for dinner. Overall, the stay was pleasant. They provided two different kinds of pillows (firm and soft). I liked the bed and pillows and had a good night sleep. The parking was free and spacious.
I had a awesome stay in Taipei for a Ice hockey world championships. We were treated very well by all staff from the front desk to the dining staff. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and cleaned daily by friendly and helpful housekeeping staff. All in all it was a pleasant stay and hope to return soon to enjoy this beautiful city again.
I booked this hotel for 4 nights, 2 night each time of the same month on the basis of reviews. I inadvertently booked 2 night in May 2017 instead of April, 2017. I requested if the could change the month. The Duty Manager declined my request. Then asked if I can talk to General Manger, and they were so rude they refused even give the name if the General Manager and hung up on me.After that I rang again had the opportunity to discuss Front Desk Manger and told me if I pay nearly double they will amend the month. I was very frustrated and at the end I did not have choice to cancel my reservation. I spent hours and hours calling this hotel from overseas and spent lot of money on telephone. I raised the matter with IHG and they replied me that Holiday Inn East Taipei is a franchise and nothing they can do anything about it. So, I booked with another chain hotel for 4 nights and I am very happy with my new Reservation. This is a reminder to the foreign tourist to be careful about this Holiday Inn. Once you book and pay you get stuck with this hotel and you can not expect any consideration from the management.
I stayed at Holiday inn east taipei 2 night EXEC JUNIOR SUITE NONSMOKING.This is location 20 min from downtown but can booking shuttle to downtown and back to hotel is Quite convenient.local restaurants near hotels.all Staff are efficient and helpful.Suit room is good nice bed and good gift.wonderful Bath salts in bathroom.
We received excellent service right from check in .Rooms were neat, lounge was fine, shuttle was always on time. They help you to plan tours well Thanks Sabrina, Alice, Joseph Frank, Shuttle captains, concierge... Wish we had more International choices in the break fast... I would visit again
Stayed in the hotel for four nights. Hotel exceeded expectations. We already knew that the location is 20 min drive from downtown but then the choice was between an international chain hotel for decent price vs a local hotel (if you can't afford a chain hotel in downtown). There is no other chain hotel for this price in Taipei - I checked. Here are the benefits in addition to lower price: 1) you get membership points. 2) service of a chain hotel - they helped arrange a cake and candles for my daughter's birthday. Each time I boarded the taxi, they helped check in the stroller. 3) free room upgrade, free welcome drinks and fruits and welcome gift for Platinum members. 4) free newspaper delivered in room daily. 5) free shuttle service to downtown. 6) good local restaurants around hotel for breakfast and coffee. 7) 711 and family Mart near hotel. 8) baby crib for no extra cost. 9) good quality free WiFi 10) they allow you to use fifteenth floor executive lounge to heat your food - useful for baby food. 11) cab to airport has fixed price of 1,300 - we paid more while reaching hotel. 12) English speaking hotel staff. 13) cab trust the room safe. Essentially, you will spend an extra USD 10 on cab when you visit Longshong Temple and the Memorial or a night market. Small price to pay as you are saving on daily room rent. We will definitely return.
The hotel was everything I expected. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was perfect for my needs. The suite was clean and made me feel comfortable. and Breakfast each day was more than sufficient as both Western and Asian foods were available. The only down side is that it is outside of the downtown area; but only a 10 to 20-minute bus ride away. The bus stop is across the street from the hotel. The staff was real helpful with suggestions and tips, and most spoke English.
