Room: Small. The bathroom was quite small overall. Cosy and alittle dim. Furniture was also abit old. but overall decent for its price and cosy. Location: Booked this place primarily for the location as it was Super close to Fengjia market while being wallet friendly. Enjoyed my 1 night stay as it was for Fengjia area Facilities: Didnt really have much wow factor in terms of their facilities. Food: Food was in fact alittle disappointing as the food was...not very good. Quantity: not much of a choice Quality: Wasnt very good as most were cold and bland. Overall: Decent for being wallet friendly and good location. Otherwise, nothing much to shout for.
Stayed in the Family room with our family of 5, paid 500TWD for the extra pax - the room has a queen bed, one futon bed and a sofa in the living room. Room is clean and has all the basics you need. Also it is very quiet at night, we managed to get a very good rest. Hotel breakfast is simple and value for money. Hotel location is strategic, it's 5 mins walk from supermarket, mcd and 10 mins walk to the famous FengJia night market. Lastly, would like to thank the lovely polite staffs that has made our stay more comfortable. They have provided excellent service for our needs and friendly recommendations to the nearby destinations.
Boutique hotel, so expect a small room. They gave us a free upgrade but for a couple with a young kid, one small queen bed will not do. Nevertheless, we were staying only for 2 nights so we decided to make do. What I'm appalled at was by the stinginess of the hotel. We asked for an extra pillow and and an extra towel, (cos there's three of us and only 2 were given), and they couldn't give us the pillow saying we were upgraded. Er ok. Next when the guy came to give us the third towel, he wanted to take back another?? Still leaving us two . So when we explained we have a child, and that makes three of us, he hemmed and hawed quite awhile before "letting us have" the towel. And still he explained, because the hotel room was for two pple hence only needed two towels. So why so stingy Galerie hotel? Have some flexibility! It's not like we asked for it every day. By the way, the bed is hard, and squeezing us all in on the bed was horrible. I shudder to think what our original room entailed.
It's been a long time since my first visit. Got my assistant boom the room for me; however; I found more than 10 year operation decay and erode the original interior without careful maintenance.
2 months ago, I was there for a mini vacation. This hotel is easy to find, and unlike Taipei, the room is spacious (that's what i like) Average time taken of 10mins to get to Fengjia night market. Service wise, the staff know the area well, so going from place to place is a breeze.
Average hotel. Hotel location is not bad though. About 10 mins walk to fengjia night market (have to walk through their back door). And be reminded that the alley through back door is quite dark and quiet at night so try not to return through back door area too late. The staffs are friendly and helpful. However I think they should improve on their breakfast :)
Good and clean hotel rooms. Centrally located and walking distance to the feng jia night market. The only downside was there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room but the hotel staff was quick to react by giving me an electronic mosquito repellent.
Hotel is located about 8 mins walk to Fengjia Night market and opposire Macdonalds (for those hungry at night) Breakfast range is decent too. Personally thankful to the staff there who made my stay feel comfortable, as they are very familiar with the surroundings and are able to arrange transport to places of interest. Also, the hotel sits in a located that's 5min walk to supermarket (Carrefour). I would stay there again if I'm ever heading back to Taichung. Beautiful city ◡̈
Second night stay at Taichung (Day 2 of 8 Tour Days). Superb and clean boutique hotel. Stayed at the family room where there are a queen size bed and tatami-style bed for two. The only downfall of this room is that you can hear the traffic noise from the street, but nearer to midnight, it's more quieter, ensuring a good night sleep. Hotel is located near to Fengchia night market, approximately around 3-5 min walk. The night market is famous for it's bustling nightlife of cheap shopping of clothes and shoes, street food and street performers. Night market start as early as 5pm and ends around 10:30pm. There's also McDonald and Starbucks around the corner from the hotel, should night market food is less appealing to your tastebuds. Overall, will consider this hotel again if I am in the city for a visit.
Stay in triplets room for 8 nights. There's lot of restaurants around hotel, Carrefour, and you can choose to walk or take bus 33 to 大远百and星光. The room is slightly dim but clean. There are dryers and washing machine at the spa and gym area. Ntd 20 for washing machine and ntd 30 for dryers. It's cost about NTD 500 from Taichung airport. Front desk ppl is helpful. Would stay there again if have chances.
