Clarion Inn & Suites Fairgrounds

Good budget option due to every hotel being sold out in the area. Hotel is a bit out of the way and outdated but staff was nice.

We stayed at the Clarion so we could attend the NY State Fair. Loved the complimentary shuttle to the fairgrounds. Great breakfast as well !

08/24/16 Nice hotel updated just a couple of minutes from fair with a free shuttle to the fair. I was able to check out and leave my car at the hotel which was very convenient. I actually was in Alfred state dropping of my oldest son and booked the same day. I had no trouble checking in. I was accompanied by my husband and youngest boys 9 & 4 yrs old. They enjoyed the pool as well as Marcella's the Italian restaurant on site. Their breakfast was decent. The overnight concierge was helpful and prompt when my kids spilled some water and I need new sheets for the bed. I will totally stay the again.

Felt like a truck stop. No refrigerator, no microwave, coffee pot broken. Really in need of a better cleaning crew.

I booked this hotel for a recent trip to Syracuse on business. The room was clean but plain, however I has problems (no hot water to shower) with the plumbing in my first room and had to be moved. The second room was better but also had a plumbing issues (toilet water fill ran constantly, no stop on hot water handle in sink) but I was able to manage and only pointed these out at check out. Staff was awesome! Seems that they are upgrading.

I stayed at the Clarion hoping for a wonderful stay for Valenines Day weekend. When I arrived at the hotel the smell was old and like they just scrubbed the whole entire building with pinesol. We stayed in a king size room I was expecting what I saw on the pictures. The bed was wonderfully made up but the comfortability was terrible. The lights hardly worked and heater was old and made the room difficult to sleep in especially at night. The bathroom light was dim but if you kept on it would eventually brighten up to take a shower. At night all I heard was kids running up and down the hallway. Everybody I saw was either drunk or with a bottle of liquor in their hand. I guess if I had to rate it would be a 1 star hotel. It was a place to lay my head but I will never stay here again. Very disappointed!

Great location, good price, clean room, good food--what more could you ask for! Great value.

It served it purpose - a comfortable place to sleep that was convenient to both the airport and the locations that we needed to be. My husband said that the exercise facilities were lacking in quality, but the continental breakfast was a generous one.

Loved the pool and the room was very comfortable! BreakfAst wasn't that great, but for free was decent.

the only complaint i have is that both mornings b'fast hot items were cold both mornings. eggs, bacon and sausage items while in warming pans were cold! other than that the stay was as it should be - my wife had nothing to blame me for making the reservations with you folks. i still object to your policy of freezing card credit lines $ for a while. still do it? i was not told if you do. staff was very good and room was clean. thanks.

Really liked the option of a hot tub in our room. Great way to relax. Thanks.

Nice comfortable king bed good location and good food. Need early check in for people traveling hours away

We stopped just for a couple of hours of sleep on a long drive, place is clean, just older. Doesn't look like any money has been spent in years to update the rooms, but it worked for a few hours of sleep.

first two rooms were unacceptable, but then very nice manager upgraded my grandson and I to a suite for my original rate

It was all good !!! Thanks !! Not much for words and travel very little at that..Frist time I have stayed in a Inn in many years !!

I found the motel difficult to find at night. The room was clean and well equipped. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Amenities were minimal but acceptable. I wasn't renting a room at a convention center or a resort. Staff was courteous and helpful.

stayed for sporting event one night. check in quick. room clean. didn't spend much time at hotel.

Everythings were great but the need to put a refrigerator in the room, the hotel is clean and safe the restaurant menu is afforable

Second time with hotel because it is convenient to my daughter's apartment. When taking shower the tub drain always clogges. Needs to be cleaned out.
