The Kirketon Hotel

The hotel is small and the room is very small (boutique hotel size). Only 1 full bedroom option is available!! The price was ok, but the rooms could have been cleaner. The bathroom has a multi-class window that does not closes completely, so humidity gets into the room through the gaps. It has a great location, next door to 3 cafes, Dominoes, train station and supermarket. Easy access to main attractions. Most of the staff was friendly. No elevator.

Loved it. This was my second hotel in Sydney and the location and the staff were the best!

Very stylish and fun hotel. Staff was great. There are two major problems. The wifi was extremely unreliable. Pretty much between 5pm and midnight it didn't work. At all. I stayed for 7 nights and 6 of the 7 it was not functional. Not slow load times, zero internet. I told the front desk and they mentioned that 5 other guests had reported the same thing. The manager promised to work on it but nothing changed. It was super frustrating. The other thing is the rooms are extremely small. I got a executive room which is very comfortable and a normal size hotel room. But I'd notice the normal rooms as I walked down the hallway while they were being cleaned and they were unbelievably small. Barely- enough-room-to-walk-around-the-bed small. But this is fixed by reserving a bigger room. But the wifi was the real killer. I don't care about this but the minibar was completely empty except for a price list.

Hotel completely met expectations, except for lack of lift, which would have helped w my heavy luggage! Otherwise good location and close by essentials..

After a week in a walled in room (view on a brick wall - constant noise of huge ventilation fan in alley), we were given a more expensive room (at no charge) with view on trees and windows. This hotel needs better cleaning crew supervision, in room 203 minibar/fridge take too much space from cloth hanging and a second regular chair could be useful. I would suggest shorting the shower curtains so they do not soak in soapy water one guest to the next and give more water pressure.

Loved my stay here (both times) and the staff was impeccable. I wish the rooms were a bit larger, but they were perfect for the price. Amazing bar and good food on site.

For my first trip to Australia, Hotel Kirketon was the perfect choice. Located in trendy neighborhood of Darlinghurst, this hotel was close by all the popular attractions such as restaurants, lounges, shops, public transit, and the Downtown area (known as CBD). The hotel staff was pretty amazing too. Super helpful and very accomodating. It's cute little hotel, perfect for first time visitors to Sydney, Australia.

We arrived early and were welcomed by very friendly hotel staff. We left our luggage, had a coffee just down the road and jumped on a bus to the Opera house. On our return we checked into our room , which was on the second floor, on the side of the hotel, because we wanted a quiet night. We then jumped on another bus to Bondi Beach, a swim and dinner.the room proved to be clean, and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There are lots of restaurant s and cafés a short walk away. We will definitely go back and recommend it to friends.

i enjoyed this wondrful hotel so much .........so frindly ......close to everything.........but still felt like a private quiet neighborhood .......eventhough there was a very popular restaurant and bar on the first floor it did not interfere with the personal feel and relaxed attitude of this wonderful little/big hotel

we were tourists and the location is in the heart of the Sydney nightlife, cafe district. staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. rooms are small, but very workable if you can work out of a suitcase. housekeeping was a little spotty but room was clean and functional.
