The room was as expected, location in a very quiet neighborhood some breakfast places a few streets over. Water cooker and coffee and tea available. Everything clean and ready for us, although we had a late check in. Building has 2 floors and ground floor rooms. No elevators. A very nice beach 20 min walking distance: Coogee beach, so beach lovers enjoy. For those of you visiting Sydney: bus 374 takes you to and from the center of town. Timings: about every half an hour, stops nearby. Price around A$ 6 one way.
Stayed here for a week, price was very good compared to those in the city. Room was was nice with air conditioning and ceiling fan, fridge, tea/coffee, good shower, bed comfortable. Room serviced every other day which was fine.Quiet location and short walk to restaurants etc and bus into town.
We had a 2 night stay in a clean spacious room. The room wasn't serviced during our stay however I enjoyed the fact that our privacy had not been invaded & price was very good. There's laundry facilities if required. Randwick is a pretty suburb to stroll around & has lots of great eateries, cafes & pubs to choose from within a short walk.
room was nice and clean. room service however only every second day, which we were not advised off. Lady at the reception could have been friendly. Nevertheless we would come back. Street parking is required.
We stayed six days at St. Marks Lodge. Throughly enjoyed the quiet room and location. The fridge, sink and dishes inside the room were great for morning breakfast. The blonde lady in the front desk was helpful in giving us updated tourist information and what to avoid.
Stayed here when in town for the Sydney 7s held at the Football Stadium approximately 4.5km away. Rooms are serviceable and the ensuite is basic but satisfactory. Little traffic noise but nothing much. Small kitchenette with mini fridge and sink. No hot plates. Linen clean. Suitable as an option where you are out all day and are looking for a low cost accommodation for the evening/s. Wrt access to the Stadium, it is a nice walk up and through Centennial Park which makes for a great stroll.
Hi I stayed for a full week and sheets weren't changed once, bed was made every 2nd day and the old blonde lady at front desk was horrible all the other staff were really nice but she was arrogant and not very helpful with anything really put a spoiler on the place and I wouldn't stay in it again because of her
If you are looking for a clean, peaceful accomodation with excellent service, St Marks is the perfect place to stay. My husband and I, we visited the lodge numerous times and we've been always pleased with this small, quiet and charming hotel. In early January we stayed there with a couple visiting us from Europe, and we all were very satisfied. The staff is the most professional and accomodating, greeting every customer with a smile and a kind word. Kat and her son Anton, are always ready to provide their visitors with information or advice and to meet their needs and requirements. The cleanliness of the lodge is 10/10. During our five days stay the rooms were cleaned every second day and the towels were replaced with fresh ones. Our bed linen was also changed during this period. The rooms are small, but comfortable with air conditioner, fan and small fridge. The only missing detail was the absence of flies screens on our windows. The front yard is with well kept grass and has two small coffee tables with chairs. At the court yard there are two bigger tables with umbrellas, for the guests who may decide to have a meal or a glass of wine. Location - walking distance from one of the most popular Sydney beaches, the shops, restaurants and coffees. Convenient public transport for tourists interested to explore the City or other Sydney attractions. Our guests were so nicely impressed by St Marks, that we decided to make another booking at the end of January, just before their flight back home. We can highly recommend St Marks to anyone visiting Sydney for tourism or business! Maia and O. K.
We visited St Marks lodge and we were really satisfied with the hotel. Rooms were clean, modern and cosy. Area was peaceful and near the city center and local mall. Only thing that bothered us was that the hotel didn't provide a secure wifi.
Originally were going to book with booking. com, then was offered a discount if booking direct with hotel, nice, cheaper than booking.com. When we arrived, we were given another discount, which brought our 3 nights down to under $400.00! Honestly, can't get better than that, 20 mins by bus to Circular Quay. Small but very comfortable room with en suite. Extremely clean, air conditioner, and fan. We were able to open the windows and just have the fan on at night. Very quiet area. Nice old building modernised inside, but still keeping the old charm of the place. Will definitely stay here again, when visiting Sydney next.
