I stayed three nights over a weekend. Friday night was marred by street revellers but the next two nights weren't a problem. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location was excellent for my needs. Lots of restaurants down side streets in Darlinghurst and Spring Hill. It's next door to the Pullman Hotel.

Great location when a quiet stroll through Hyde park brings you to the city and the Museum Station is very close but it's not all about that. We (a friend from NZ and me from Perth) did not find the Reception staff at all friendly as no one greeted you, no one even looked up when you were standing in front of them. I requested some ice but was told there was none and to make my own in the room fridge. I tried to do this but the fridge just would not go cold enough to make any - even after 4 days. Good location - but the room was spasmodically serviced with only towels put in. The toilet wasn't cleaned, the hand basin wasn't cleaned and we were there for 4 days. Just bunging in towels and leaving is not "serviced". The room size was good with a small kitchenette and there was a lounge area but the TV was placed in front of the twin beds so to sit on the sofa was fine but you had to look sideways to see the TV. Our view looked out - across a roof space with about 6 air conditioning units to the city beyond. Now I don't object to this - it's not always possible to get the room with the view BUT - please clean that roof space. There was junk scattered across it from a broom to a bucket of rubbish and numerous other "stuff". So yep - great location - but not cheap and just not great.

The best thing about this hotel was the location, close to transportation and walkable distance to many different interesting places. However the service was average at best, with one concierge telling me "he was only there for providing information" but was unable to even answer the most basic of questions such as "where can I get a taxi". The room itself was spacious and comfortable but there was dust everywhere and very limited amenities in the room. The rooftop pool was only ok, and the access to it was awful!

Perfect location - $40 parking per night was bad especially when half the time we were struggling to find where we were gonna park. the cleaning service never gave us enough towels, we never knew we had to take all our stuff off the beds to get or roomed cleaned. We never got our roll out bed when it was meant to be given to us and the couch didn't fold out either even though we were entitled. the staff weren't very empathetic to us. When the cleaning lady came to our apartment she wanted us out, when we questioned if she had to do it right now, she said "well I'll give you 5mins" with a rude attitude. We eventually left. I will not book with you's again.

The hotel is close to the beautiful Hyde Park and walk-able distance to the train station, Pitt St shopping centre, and if you are fit, walk-able to the Opera House too! The studio unit I stayed in was clean and spacious, with a kitchen, small lounge. The only downside for me was there was no bathtub.

Can't beat the location with great views over Hyde Park. Staff were friendly and courteous. Interior of apartments do need a refresh and appliances should also be updated. We booked 2 room apartment but there was only one set of cutlery. Lifts take forever. Overall not bad but is overpriced for what you get.

Location is nice, at the far end of Hyde Park and has excellent city views from the roof. If you know your way around Sydney, it's not a long walk down Liverpool street to reach Darling Harbour which is great for food. For the rooms themself, they're run down and dilapidated and lacking any style. The carpets are stained, walls are thin and the room is not finished to a high spec. It's in major need of a facelift and upgrade of facilities. Location is the only thing this hotel has going for itself ... Not the Ritz, but your not paying for the Ritz, so it was just "ok" from our point of view.

Stayed for a few days for business. Nice clean hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Large modern rooms. Large tv. Nice clean kitchen area. Good location. Walking distance to everything. The only negative is the lifts can't handle busy periods and it can be a long and crowded wait which was frustrating! I would stay again.

Me and a group of friends stayed at the Oaks HPP in the 2BD exec rooms, on Friday 5th May. My first experience with Oaks HPP years back was not pleasurable. Given the great rates and the location being close to CBD, i decided to re-stay at this hotel hearing that it has been refurbished since my last stay. The reception area now looks fantastic and the rooms have improved drastically! (at least compared to the last room i stayed). Bonny has been great with assisting me with any queries i had regarding my booking, and Deita(?) the night person was very friendly and welcoming when we came late. Definitely recommended the place for anyone looking for something close to CBD and at an affordable price! Wish the 2BD rooms had a balcony though, but at great prices, we can make do without it.

The apartment was great and plenty of room for all our kit. 4 beds kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Great location with a balcony looking over oxford street. Will be back again thanks for a great start to our epic ride
