Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff and very convenient location for commuters with railway station nearby to travel to the domestic and international airports. Five to ten minute walk and you are in the centre of the city and the same to the cafe society at East Sydney
The room we had is getting run down. The furniture is old and chipped and the cleanliness is not up to standard. There was mould in the bathroom and the table had a thick layer of dust on the bottom ledge. Our room overlooked a very busy intersection and was noisy at night (but that's what you get in Sydney!!). The car park is difficult to use if you have a large vehicle. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the location was exactly what we wanted - right at the start of the City to Surf run.
Initially given old tired noisy room, chnanged to newer refurbished room higher much nicer. Great views and location good facilities in room laundry good downstairs. 2 bed apartments plenty of space. Obviously refurbishing old rooms so pick carefully
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy but hot. Car park was a bit awkward to get in and out off. Bed comfortable. Would stay ther again. On arrival we were upgraded to a two bedroom which was a pleasant surprise
A great place to stay, very handy to frequent bus and train services. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. And that is all staff - reception, housekeeping and night concierge. Rooms are great too. Having a full kitchen in a serviced apartment gives you choice as to dine in or out.
I booked a two bedroom apartment & ensured i booked the "newly renovated, 4.5 star room" I have numerous emails stating that is what i booked & a booking confirmation stating the same. Based on the below, i think it is safe to say - We did not get this apartment. - The apartment itself was not spacious as mentioned on websites. - The "Air conditioning" did not seem to work & there was no air flow throughout the apartment, there was only a couple windows we could open slightly which did not make a difference. - We originally only received 1 elevator key, so being a two bedroom apartment three of us were stuck to rely on 1 key. - The hotel only provided us with one car space of which the parking was almost impossible to fit a big car through. - The apartment only had 1 bathroom (too bad if two of us were busting at the same time - which did happen) - Room service did not tidy up at all - Only our beds were made & we were only provided two bath towels (One of us actually had to use a face towel after their shower!) I actually went down to reception to ask them to give us extra towels, they were given to me at reception! - Laundry service was a rip! Better off wearing dirty clothes. -The iron sounded like it was going to blow up - No air conditioning vents in rooms (The sun hit straight through the windows so it was almost impossible to get ready in the rooms) Overall, We were not pleased with this stay & unfortunately will not be returning.
Was a bit worried about staying here based on the very mixed reviews but it was great for us. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights and wanted somewhere central but not too expensive. The Oaks ticked the box. The 2 bedrooms had 2 huge king sized beds that were so comfy. The living area and kitchen were basic and did need a refurb but we were only there for a short while and out most of the day. It was walking distance to all the main attractions. The bonus was the pool which we had to ourselves each morning. We stayed on the 8th floor and no issue with lifts or noise. Didn't need to deal with staff but they seemed friendly enough. Would definitely return here as such a good price for a central base.
Great location close to stations and walking distance to darling harbour Nice spacious room comfortable bed good shower pressure. The bathrooms probably need an upgrade to make more modern but no complaints here would be happy to stay again
Stayed two nights- very convenient to Museum Station and plenty of places to eat. I enjoyed a King Studio - all very good. Very roomy, the bathroom was slightly tacky- peeling paint on ceiling etc, but clean and serviceable. I had free wifi for 30 minutes but could not log on. My room overlooked Hyde Park. A good view and not noisy. My colleague looked towards Darlinghurst- at the rear. There is parking but it is a squeeze so don't expect to park a large 4WD.
I booked an executive studio apartment for a fly in Friday night fly out Monday morning weekend away in Sydney. Location was excellent.... right opposite Hyde Park, I found it easy walking to the Art gallery of Nsw, Circular Quay, Royal botanical gardens, the Rocks and Sydney Tower. Staff were friendly, polite and always happy to help. Whether it was leaving my luggage after checking out while I spent the last day in the city, giving me suggestions on where to go to find something for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even places for a night out dancing etc. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The room was nicely presented, clean, well organised and had what I needed and nice use of and plenty of space for my needs. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping did a grear job everyday, it was clear they had been and they kept all the tea coffee, dishwashing supplies and toiletries will stocked. Was
